Perfect location a short walk from St Marks but in a quieter neighbourhood with local shops and bars on Via Garibaldi. Hotel is very stylish and comfortable and they gave us a free upgrade to a suite. Breakfast was excellent and staff welcoming and helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at Ca’ di Dio – VRetreats. The room was beautifully designed, very spacious, and exceptionally clean. I loved the amenities in the washroom, and I truly appreciated that the team kindly accepted my late check-out request so my mom could have the room to pray — a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.

The location is lovely — about a 20-minute walk to the center, but the walk itself is beautiful with charming restaurants along the way. Their meet-and-greet service was incredibly helpful, especially since it was my first time in Venice.

The breakfast was exceptional. Even though we missed the buffet time, the staff went above and beyond to serve us with warmth and generosity.

Overall, a truly memorable experience — thank you for making our short stay so comfortable and special.

We’ve been staying here the last couple of years and it’s been a consistently great experience throughout. You pay for what you get, in that it’s not a cheap stay for Venice, but it’s brilliantly located, very comfortable, spacious, and luxurious rooms with polite staff. The manager, Marco, is stellar too.

The property is easily accessible via the water bus. It is also located in an area that is quiet but not far from major venues.

The amenities are also very modern and with familiar comforts for those visiting from the US.

Everything was perfect

The staff was very helpful, including concierge who helped set up dinner reservations and things to do.

Not really the hotel, but beware of the glass and lace tours offered at Ca' Di Dio - they offer it as a free service to visit their factories/shops, but once you're there, they press hard to sell some expensive goods. It was worth the tour, but be prepared to be say no if you're not interested in paying a lot of money.

The service and the welcome were amazing. I would come back again and again - each time I’m in Venice.

The location was very handy to the main square and to public transport.

The kitchen staff were very slow.

We returned to this hotel after staying with them last year.

The lifts are very small and for someone who gets scared in small spaces I used the stairs lots so not to use them and we were on the third floor

The stairs felt like a fire exit and not luxurious at all

A wonderful refurbishment of a 700 year old monastery. Very comfortable with attention to detail you would expect from a designer like Patricia Urquiola.

The AC seemed to switch off at night.

It is close to the port and everything just works! People are also lovely, offers top hospitality experience.

It will be great if they have iron and ironing board ready in the room and slippers.

Location, unique, view, services

Staff were always very helpful, location was good as was near various vaporetto stops, in a quiet area relative to other hotels, rooms were a good size/format, with turn downs/regular cleans throughout the day, breakfast, lunch & dinner available, as well as small spa/sauna facilities, with massage if requested. Complimentary tour to Murano was also a pleasant surprise.

Nothing really, spa facilities could've been slightly larger, but we weren't really there for that on this occasion.

The best thing about this hotel are the staff: warm, welcoming, incredibly helpful!

The location is excellent. It is relatively quiet for Venice, and yet just a few minutes from St Mark's square and next to the Arsenale vaporetto stop.

The bedrooms are peaceful and well thought out with everything you would expect from a luxury hotel. The beds deserve a comment - huge and extremely comfortable.

Location and Service (warm, friendly, efficient)!
The hotel is excellently located for discovering Venice, especially if like me, Venice is still unfamiliar and if one's preference is for a more local feel of things. The water taxi from the airport stops at Arsenal, which is the stop right in front of the hotel's main entrance. So if arriving at night, it is quite impossible to get lost, even if everything appears dark and foreboding. Its location along the water front affords some atmospheric views as well. It is an easy walk to the popular sites, and yet turn off the main thoroughfare, and one is given a glimpse of local life, away from the tourist-crowd.

Everything was excellent! From room service to housekeeping to design and maintenance of the room and facilities. Impressed as always!

Gym is a little small

The family suite was spacious and beautifully decorated.
The hotel staff was very helpful to assist us with parking and water boat taxi informations and arrangements.
