The staff at this hotel are the most loveliest people and that's what really made my stay so enjoyable. Yes the hotel and location is beautiful, but the people - both other visitors and staff were so lovely and amazing. A rare thing for me to say as a solo traveller.

The excursions are unfortunately mostly created with couples or non-solo travellers in mind. So I couldn't even sign up to most of them, I could only choose from about 3, which meant I was mostly stranded at the hotel or in the nearby town. Bear this in mind if you're staying for longer than 4/5 days as it can get quite boring. The beach is a very small strip also, that was a little disappointing too but the nearby town is great so definitely walk there or get a taxi.

It was very clean and very pleasant. The staff was nice and polite. Everything was great!

There are complaints about the breakfast. For such a hotel, the breakfast was, let's say, not up to the standard.

Luxurious resort with wonderful private beach and food, staff except for one person very polite

The front desk lady at the breakfast/ dinner (I think her name was Anna, short hair and butterfly tattoo on arm) was very rude and treated us like second class people. Whenever we arrived she advised us that we could not sit at the table we liked, forced us to wait and then redirected us to the noisiest corner in the last room - I travel regularly for work to similar hotels and have never encountered this behavior, unacceptable and a real pity because it significantly ruined our experience

Did not expect the enormous amount of children in mid October. Beach level should have had bathroom facilities.

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Staff was super friendly, food was excellent and the cove is perfect for swimming, even for the little ones!

As part of our honeymoon trip, we intended to know Crete and chose Daios Cove for our stay. But the resort is so good that we didn’t got out of it. The room is spacious, modern and cosi. The pool and beach area and the views are wonderful. The restaurants are excellent, specially the Ocean, where we brightly closed our last night. Do recommend. Finally, the staff is impeccable.

Sometimes the buffet food was a little lukewarm. Sun bed cushions rather grubby and beach towels tatty but clean. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity, car hire needed Very expensive drinks

Loved the entire set up, decor, facilities, staff. Was a beautiful, scenic place. Panos in charge of all restaurants who did the cookery class was amazing as were all the buggy drivers and reception staff and restaurant staff too. very clean and spa and gym were incredible

Tissues inc toilet paper were rough. Maybe because recycled but scratchy to use

Modern, well equipped rooms with great view and impeccably maintained. Staff were attentive and friendly. The gym was fantastic.

It felt very busy, especially at breakfast, dinner and on the beach. On one day of our stay the beach was very dirty but the staff did work to clean it. The kids club was fine for our 5 year old but our boys aged 10 and 8 would have liked a playground and a table football table.

The property is nested amongst a cove with its own private beach. The facilities and restaurants are amazing and the views are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. I think they far exceeded my expectations.

Great food and location. The beach is wonderful.

It was a very wind at times. There could be better activities for kids (eg movie night on the beach).

Pangea restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner. Beach was clean, pool was excellent, staff were very good and asked what we wanted. Private pool in bedroom was nice. We liked the funicular. The staff were excellent and there were lots of them.

You should not let people 'reserve' sun loungers by the pool by putting a book/towel on them and then not using them. The bars were very nice and well staffed, but the prices were expensive.

Beautiful view over the sea, buffet was excellent, very well catered for.children, kids club was brilliant, spacious rooms, huge beds.

Resort feels isolated, it was very busy struggled to get a sun bed past 10am.

The low rise architecture of the resort an how it belnds effortlessly with its' surrounding area. The location is exceptional with direct access to the beach cove. The room was lovely and wished the weather was warmer to take advantage of the plunge pool. The quality and variety of the food was excellent.

EVERYTHING! Truly luxurious, exceptional service, outstanding food, and food choices, brilliant, very private beach, water sports superb, location couldn’t be better, felt very private. No request was too much trouble.

The only room for improvement would be toilet facilities at the beach level. Have to go up 3 levels from beach to go the loo!

We loved everything! The room was amazing, the food was great, the facilities were inviting, even the plants in the garden are well taken care of. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is smiling and helpful. We enjoyed the private beach and the pool. Everything is super clean. Highly recommended!

The exceptional colour of the sea

Everything was amazing! We had all in and enjoyed it a lot Veeeeery good food in taverna. Breakfast buffet is superbe Buffet in the evening is not on the level of the restaurants It is better then other 5 star hotels

Spa is 16+ Pool was cold in Mai and it would have been nice to have a time slot in the spa area where children are allowed

Daios Cove is a very special place. The views, the quality of the facilities, the food, the staff, everything made it an exceptional experience.

The location is fabulous because the cove provides a barrier to the wind. It is a very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful place. You really need a car in my opinion because it is not near anything. Unless you plan to be only in the resort, then rent a car. The rooms were very comfortable and great size. The resort itself is beautiful. The overall service is excellent, there is some area for improvement but definitely nothing big.

The bed- I could not get a decent sleep on the bed and pillows. I requested the baby pillows which is the only alternative pillow, which allowed my neck to relax a bit. But for me the beds were a deal breaker as we stayed 10-nights. The food is ok, nothing too memorable. The dessert section of their dinner menu was the best. Had one of the best baklavas I have had after traveling in Greece for 14 years. The dinner menu meats/fish/chicken - just need to be re-evaluate. It was either over cooked, no flavor, just not desirable. I like their salad area for dinner. But as I said nothing that was memorable. Wish they concentrated more on Greek and Cretan culinary. Provided more cheeses from the local environment. The have the room to create their farm to table food. They can do so much with their food - to truly make this resort stand out especially at the cost charged for food menu. Btw, drinks including orange juice is not included in the dinner menu. Only still water is included in the dinner menu. Everything else is an extra charge and very pricey. For example, OJ glass is 7 euro. The menu on the beach needs improvement and rotation, not the same thing every day.

I loved the exclusivity, the facilities - everything!

Only point I would make it about the location, while it’s secluded which is lovely it means there’s nowhere nearby to go within walking distance.

The place is beautiful and very clean with lots of room on the beautiful private beach and the pool is stunning, very stylish. The staff was very nice and accommodating. 24hr room service, very close to agios nikolaos if you want to go for a day trip.

Nothing not to like about this place i would go back in a heart beat.

The first thing we interact was the lobby area and the design was superb with influence from local area. The accomodation was super nice, very clean and with good space. The restaurants and bars in the resort are offering great experience with many options and very good quality. A special apreciation to Pangea restaurant and Chef Yannis together with his team. The food was amazing. We like very much the pools and beach area. These facilities has bars next to them which offers very good services with drinks and food. I like the attention to the kids which Daios gives.

That was our best Vacation in our life . Thank u very much for everybody.
