The Bonham Hotel, Edinburgh

Beautiful traditional style hotel lobby and general areas. Spotless. Very courteous and friendly staff. Fabulous bedroom with terrace area to enjoy a morning coffee. Room very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and relaxing stay in pure luxury. Would highly recommend to others.

Charming and cozy design. Spacious room with seating area. Coffee machine and cookies. All the employees were very helpful. And very relaxed at the same time, which is not so common in some of the other hotels. We loved the breakfast and service. Top notch!

Lovely location just outside the busy area of the city, this gives it a nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Welcoming ambience (provided by soft classical music from the radio) was a nice touch when first entering into the room! Spacious and quiet (Room 110) junior suite, on first floor but also handy lift access (though we didn’t really need it). Room decor and design very relaxing and thoughtful. Beautiful tall ceiling. Dyson tower cool fan discretely standing in the room was helpful. We also like the fluffy robes, towels, and nice quality toiletries provided. Delicious breakfast! Staff helpful and welcoming. Thanks!!

Nothing not to like… we could get too used to having Prosecco at breakfast and the complimentary whiskey in our room!

Well appointed and well located. Staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was excellent.

The beds are far too hard - like sleeping on a rock. This was incredibly disappointing but was the only aspect that wasn’t great. As a hotel, the quality of the guests’ sleep should be paramount. Of course some people like a rock to sleep on but in my experience most don’t. This is a serious issue. I asked for a topper and one was provided but it didn’t really make any difference. Hypnos mattresses are really great and this is the sort of quality that would befit The Bonham.

A delightful and stylish hotel located in a quiet square a short walk from the town centre. We loved our junior suite which was very spacious and comfortable. All of the staff were wonderful, and a special thanks goes out to Alex on the front desk who could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

The property is gorgeous, location is within walking distance of everything and the staff is wonderful. Great bar and breakfast and the rooms are spotless.

The parking area is very difficult to get into -large vehicles would not be able to get in.

The decor and ambience, restaurant facilities, comfort, cleanliness, location, service and staff were all excellent.

The bathroom was spacious and very functional. The only downside was that it was a very warm/ hot room despite the radiator being turned down to its lowest point.

Such a beautiful building with an incredible bar, breakfast room and lounge area.

From the first encounter with staff at check-in (e were early but they put our bags in the room while we were at lunch), throughout the stay the service was friendly, cheerful but discreet. The room was beautiful - although in a basement there was a lovely open garden (and beyond) view. Lunch in the restaurant was superb.

Everyone was very welcoming. Nicely decorated, with a lovely atmosphere. An amazing view from our room. Good meals.

Top floor showers aren’t high enough for my husband. Opened my dressing gown to an attached dead wasp.

found the reception awkward on arrival and found the staff member on arrival hard to communicate with . Also when I checked out I pointed out that no fresh milk or water had been put in the room throughout our stay . we also asked to purchase the hand lotion from the room as we had already packed it as stated in the room . It was then pointed out that they give you a new one but my other half had already left with it , abit disappointed as the one in the room wasn’t full on arrival .

Beautiful building. The staff were incredible. So polite, friendly and professional. The lounges oozed calmness. We didn't use the restaurant, but the bar menu was lovely. The provision of umbrellas was thoughtful.

Everything was perfect

When I got there the staff very kindly served me tea in the dining area, so that I could revive while I waited for my room to be ready. Everything about the Bonham was perfect. I highly recommend it!
