The building was absolutely stunning, views incredible and staff fantastic. We had a phenomenal waiter, Kit, who served us excellently during our meal at the hotel restaurant.

Stunning views of Oslo. Beautiful place. Free parking close by if you have a rental car. Breakfast was amazing. Great place for a family stay.

The view from the room and lobby was wonderful. Location was great. Restaurant and staff were very nice.

Stayed there second time already. It`s very close to Holmenkollen stadium who wants to visit some sports competition. Views are amazing to Oslo , getting there very comfortable by subway. there is steep hill before the hotel - just to know if you come with large suitcases :) breakfast is amazing, very wide choice. Rooms very quiet and nicely decorated.

I stayed 4 days and nobody checked the towels during that day, which is strange to me. All other things where great.

Location for ski facilities

Fabulous location. We attended the World Cup Biathlon weekend races. It was convenient to the venue. Unfortunately it was sold out for the weekend dates although we booked several months in advance.

Fantastic location for access to skiing at Skimore. Wonderful hotel. Buffet breakfast and lunch were fantastic. We loved spending time in the hotel itself. The views were incredible.

The room was a little cold. Tea and coffee facilities in the room could have been better.

The hotel doesn't provide sleepers, and there is no internal calling system, so to ask a question, you have to walk to the reception. Standard rooms facing the back are quite dark.

Amazing views. Great location if you are skiing. Good breakfast options.

Room was very cramped with a double bed and pullout sofa in use. Perfect spot if you are wanting a more relaxing stay or wanting to ski in Oslo, but about 20-25 minutes outside of city center, which could be less convenient if you want to see more centrally located attractions.

Amazing view, quiet location, easy parking, breakfast buffet was great. Spa looked nice (but was fully booked, and the pool is not allowed for kids outside if 0800-1000)

The hotel was very busy and not enough staff for the number of guests. The worker that came to make up the foldout bed in the “family room” was unpleasant and acted put out (note; we could not do this ourselves as no spare sheets or pillows were provided in the room). Common areas were dirty and a used tissue in the hallway was there overnight. Lastly the room was not like the photos. The family room was supposed to be over 400 sq-ft, but it was about 60% that size. With the couch unfolded, you could barely move around in the room.

Honestly the best hotel i have ever stayed in, the views from our superior kingsize room was unforgettable.

There was nothing we didnt like.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, the view from the room was amazing, and the room itself was very clean and warm, and bright. The bathroom had a heated floor, too, which is always welcome. Me and my traveling partners really liked our stay.

There were a lot of loud kids on the weekend. Obviously not a problem in the day time (we like kids!), but they were rowdy right up to the quiet hours, running through the halls and banging on doors. Not the hotel's fault--just sort of wondered where their parents were.

1. Room Cleaning During check-in on 29/12/2024, I was asked how frequently I wanted room cleaning & requested it every 2nd day. Despite this, no cleaning was performed until the night of 31/12/2024. I had to make an online request at 21:30 that evening, yet by 14:00 on 1/1/2025, no action had been taken. I eventually had to approach the cleaning staff in the corridor and the receptionist to have the room cleaned. In the meantime, I ran out of basic necessities like toilet paper and had to request it from the reception. This delay and lack of proactive service caused unnecessary inconvenience. I recommend implementing a better tracking system to ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to and guests’ needs are promptly met. 2. Spa, Sauna, and Gym Services The clarity of information regarding which services in the spa, sauna, and gym were free and which incurred additional charges was lacking. This ambiguity made it difficult to plan my stay effectively. It would be helpful to provide a clear breakdown of these services during the booking process or at check-in, perhaps with a printed guide or digital communication. 3. Restaurant Service While the food at dinner on 1/1/2025 was excellent, the overall dining experience was not perfect due to basic service issues: Despite booking a table for 4, we were made to wait in line with other guests who had not booked. Once seated, we were placed in a dark and isolated section of the restaurant, even though there were plenty of well-lit and inviting tables available. Upon request, we were moved to a better-lit area. Additionally, the staff was not very attentive. My wife requested mustard, which the server forgot. After 12 minutes, the same staff member returned and admitted they had forgotten the request. These small but significant service gaps affected our overall experience.

The swimming pool and spa was closed; for dinner, we also couldn’t have a set menu and had to have the buffet, even though we were told we could have a set menu meal.

Exceptionally clean. Everything was to a high standard. Spacious and clean rooms. Quite an opulent hotel for the price. Wonderful views when the weather allowed. Everything was to a high standard.

The breakfast buffet was extremely busy, with not enough room to move around whilst selecting your items. Access to the pool had to be pre-booked upto a week in advance, which we weren't aware of.

Breakfast was delicious. The gym was SO NICE. I wish we had stayed longer so we could actually use it. The restaurant was good for dinner and a nice view. The breakfast buffet was quite the spread and delicious! The bedroom was spacious and the beds comfortable. Great view of Oslo outside!

The drive up was pretty steep and winding. The parking lot has the option to charge your car, but it would NOT work for us at all. Very frustrating.

The hotel is beautiful, lovely staff, breakfast incredible and plenty of choice! The lunch buffet is also superb, fresh and tasty and the staff in the restaurant are so helpful. Excellent spa and gym, better than 4 star standard! All public areas are kept tidy and clean. The hotel has a cosy homely feel when you walk in, and the views over Oslo are spectacular! Anyone could happily sit all day admiring those sights. The family room is a good size and the bathroom is functional. We loved the Christmas decor, tasteful and gave us a warm festive feel.

The hotel WiFi is terrible. We had a very weak signal in the bedroom and it kept dropping off entirely. So we needed to refresh / start again setting it up. This got a little frustrating. Usually we had to go into the bar area to get good WiFi. Not always practical with a child and when it’s night time. The room was not turned down at all nor were our towels replenished once in the 5 days we were there. We expected clean towels each day or at least every other day. We found the bar prices on the extortionate side, alcohol is very expensive but this seems the same universally in the Oslo area, not just at this hotel.

Hotel is beautiful, great staff, bed was very comfy. Lovely views aswell. Will deffo stay here everytime we come to Oslo. Breakfast was amazing.

The daily smile of all staff, kindness, amazing hotel modern and traditional well mixed together. The warm of the hotel, a big hall, but most of all, in the nature. Doing the reservetaion i was very unsure if stay in the city of oslo or outside in the nature. In the city i open the door and i can look immediatly to the city. Far from oslo it needs subway time, distance ecc. I choose the nature with this amazing hotel and i was very satisfied of this choice that i would d oagain i nthe same way. The time in the subway/train to oslo 40 minutes from holmenkollen is a good time to watch outside the windows, houses, woods, ecc. i never change this choice. Great hotel great place great staff!

It is like a farytale, best place for a romantic people:):):) spa is smal, but cozy. Excellent breakfast!!! Outside the view is just something you must see with your own eyes.

Iff you want to visit some other places you must know, when you come back to hotel the way is only up and up and up :( one time it is okey, but several times a day it is very tiring.

I love the quiet little area it is in. The smell of the trees and the fact that the city is a 40min train ride away.

The showers are very small in the standard room, so if you like space consider an upgrade.

Great place, great view, surroundings are amazing, nice stylish hotel, breakfast is really good, a lot to choose from, friendly stuff, respond quickly.

Have to pay extra for parking and the pool.
