Opened in 2019, this tranquil estate sprawls across 40 hectares of pristine countryside, covered in lavender fields, lemon orchards, ancient olive groves, and flourishing vineyards.
The heart of the property is a beautifully preserved 13th-century estate house. Mallorcan architect Sergi Bastidas and interior design director Pilar Garcia-Nieto meticulously transformed the historic ranch into a minimalist haven. They embraced the Japanese concept of *wabi-sabi*—finding beauty in imperfection—by layering rough stone and original medieval elements with soft linens, wicker furniture, and warm, earthy tones. Remarkably, the original medieval kitchen has been preserved and is now used to display the hotel’s breakfast buffet.
The hotel features just 25 rooms and suites, alongside an exclusive standalone villa, giving the entire property an intimate feel. Guests can relax at the award-winning Único Spa, which is creatively housed inside the estate’s former cowshed. Sustainability and wellness take center stage here, with the hotel offering sunrise yoga in a dedicated glasshouse and estate-grown wines from its private vineyards.
Dining at the on-site Jacaranda restaurant offers a true farm-to-table experience. The menus change daily based on what is harvested from the estate’s three organic kitchen gardens. The property even presses its own olive oil from its centuries-old trees.
While Finca Serena feels worlds away from the tourist crowds, it is just a short drive from the historic, windmill-dotted village of Montuïri. Nearby, history buffs can explore the 9th-century BC Son Fornés archaeological site, which features some of the island’s most significant prehistoric structures.
