Situated in the heart of the Altstadt, the Marktgasse Hotel couldn’t be in a better location. Within walking distance of Grossmunster Church, Lake Zurich, the train station, the opera, Bahnhofstrasse, and so many other attractions, getting around will be a breeze. This 15th-century building has been updated to include modern amenities. Guest rooms are simple, yet comfortable. White linens, Scandinavian furniture, wood floors, and earthy tones create a calm and serene atmosphere. Room sizes vary from a single bed to extra-large beds with a sitting room.

The location is convenient for all the public transportation access. Breakfast is great. It has a little of everything. The staff are all nice, friendly, and very helpful for whatever needs.
There is not a single thing we did not like of this hotel.

Lovely hotel well positioned and giving great service.
Location was very good. Rooms were a delight. Lot of good sustainability ideas, especially the water refilling station. Staff were very helpful and we appreciated the breakfast picnic bag for our early start and again noted the eco friendly bag, containers and cutlery - well done!
While we appreciated hot and cold drinks were provided in an environmentally conscious way we do as Brits need an early morning tea to get us moving and not having this as a room facility meant one needed to make a trip to reception in a less than perfect condition! We also hung up our towels but they were nevertheless replaced each day.

Stylish comfortable hotel which was very reasonably priced for Zurich.
Modern design in a historic building. Extremely comfortable bed. Unlimited free tea and coffee and free access to the Kunst Museum. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.

Funky and fresh little place in the main part of a old town
Great location, lovely little add ons like a lolly bar and tea and coffee. Water stations on each level.
Shower had a broken hand shower, therefore had to hold it the whole time.

Fabulous
The room was very comfy, great bed, they put me on an inside room that had a window but not to the noisy street, which was perfect. Hotel right in the middle of everything. I loved it.

Location Location location!.
It’s up a hill, we had two wheelchairs and kids and lots of luggage. The Ubers or taxis leave you down the hill they do not go up. Other than that is amazing!
