I am giving this property the lowest possible rating because of a major safety hazard. On my last night (out of 2), I noticed there are exposed tube lights in the shower, there is nothing covering the tube lights that are located inside the shower. This can lead to an electric shock, WHICH CAN BE DEADLY.
***I sent an email to the property urging them to sort this out for the safety of the guests but I received no response.*** Even after replying to my message on booking the email went unaswered.

The design of the rooms is very strange, there are almost no windows, only a small one on the side and some very high on the walls. There is no air circulation and no view.
There is no door in the bathroom and also no walls, only glass, pretty bad if you’re sharing the room with someone else.
The shower is poorly designed and water gets out, flooding the part where the toilet is.

Fantastic hotel. One of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever been to and I cannot fault it at all. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. An ideal location with so many useful links connecting to the city (inc train and tram which are a stones throw away) and shops and places to eat a short walk away. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely boutique design hotel with a very comfortable bed & natural cosmetics, friendly staff, super clean, we did not have breakfast this time as we were in Zurich for the new years party... Booked a late check-out instead..

Easy access from the train station and to the city center and the lake.Welcoming staff,excellently explained everything about our stay,we checked in earlier which was very convinient.A different aspect of hotel which i liked very much,comfortable and ergonomic room and bathroom.The fan and the radio were nice touches,the breakfast was satisfying.We enjoyed our stay very much.

A refrigerator is needed especially in summer and i would prefer omelette or scrambled eggs in breakfast instead of boiled eggs but this is a matter of taste.

The hotel was very reasonably priced. Although not in the city centre, it takes no time at all to get into the centre by bus.

We didn’t like the restaurant. It didn’t seem to fit with the hotel. If you’re in the bath, you can’t reach the soap dispenser.

Really lovely, stylish little hotel. We loved staying here! The desk staff were super friendly and the room was simple, clean and really quiet. It is about a 20min walk from the centre of town but there are buses, trams and trains nearby if your legs get tired. Easy to get to the Uetilberg look-out point and trendy Industrial Quarter. Also a yoga studio on-site and a fabulous Thai restaurant that is also recommended. Good value in an expensive city!

Nothing, would definitely stay here again.

quirky design and good off road parking

the glass walled shower and toilet were not at all sound proofed and provided little privacy

The location was superb! There are tram and bus stops within a 1-minute walk from the hotel. It is also conveniently located for taxi drop-offs and pick-ups, which I used on my way to and from the hotel (Zurich Flughafen/ airport or Zurich HauptBanhof (HB)/ train station).
The airport is about 15 minutes by taxi while the train station is about 10 minutes.
My flight landed early in the morning and the hotel was full, so I could not check in when I arrived there. However, there was ample space to store my belongings while I took a tour of the city and came back to check in at 3 pm.
I got a free upgrade from the hotel and so was given one of the standalone "container-style" rooms. The room itself was on the grounds, with many others around it. The bed and bathroom was on the ground level and there was a small mezzanine above, with a couch, TV, a desk/chair, and a lovely view of the back gardens.
A nice mini-forest was within the grounds, with chairs set up to enjoy the view. The staff were quite helpful and kind. I recommend this place!

Breakfast was very basic for the price. It is served afternoon tea-style, with a tower of mainly cold dishes, including Bircher muesli, deli meat cuts, cheese, a croissant, and some bread, butter, and jams. I wish there were some hot dishes prepared as it was rainy and cold when I was there and I longed for an omelet or sausages. You have to prepare boiled eggs yourself. Coffee or tea is served by the ladies at reception.
There is no A/C in the rooms but there is a huge floor-standing fan. I am not used to this style of ventilation, so unfortunately with the air blowing directly in my face at night, I got a bit of a sore throat the next day.

Really liked this hotel, great design with lots of space, very clean quiet and comfortable with friendly staff in a convenient location walkable to Zurich centre. The restaurant at the hotel is also really nice and they had an amazing chef designed epic sandwich menu initiative whilst I was there which was a very cool and innovative idea and super executed - delicious sandwiches available all day!

Room was a little hot as there was no aircon but they do provide a fan so it's manageable

The Greulich is well designed and has an excellent breakfast, the rooms are really cool, but can feel claustrophobic (only one real window that opens to the parking lot side.

No air conditioning was a bit of an inconveniance with the 37C° heat, but at night with the fan on and the window open I managed to sleep so overall it was OK.

Well designed room. Access to internal courtyard. Free bike rental. Plenty of water- still and sparkling. Very nice breakfast

Safe deposit box was faulty. Almost can’t retrieve our stuff inside.

Lovely room, the staff is amazing. I felt like I was part of something special. The location is spectacular. One of those hotel experiences that you would absolutely never forget.

There is some confusion when you get there. Is it a restaurant? Is it a hotel? When you check in, you check into the restaurant...kind of weird.
