Townhouse Boutique Hotel, Zurich

The location was great, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.

The room was very small.

Great room with a balcony, more than enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Shower was exceptional. The restaurant and bar were very lively Friday night, but not so loud that you heard it in the rooms, though they provided ear plugs if city noise was too much. The breakfast buffet in the morning was small, but there was excellent variety. Staff were very attentive and cheerful, they even left Christmas cookies for the children. Location was close to the train station and many of the sites.

Not one thing.

Proximity to the train station - a very short walk. Close to all the shops, the riverside, the beautifully illuminated avenues with Christmas lights and markets, and a few bars nearby. We were treated with a complimentary coffee which was a welcome surprise. The staff were so welcoming.

An absolute delight to stay here! The bar was lovely and room delightfully quaint. Staff were super friendly location was central to everything.

the location is great, near the train station. It is easy to access Zurich or rest of Switzerland from here.

It is an older property, which is very charming but the facilities are not great. Still, everything is in order and it is a lovely place to stay.

Very convenient location. It's two blocks from the train station and just off the main street with shopping and Christmas decorations. Easy walk around town.

I unfortunately booked the least expensive room. It was very small. I was on the sixth floor and unfortunately the elevators go up to five so we had to walk up a flight of shallow steps with our heavy luggage. However, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was just an overnight stay for us to see the Christmas markets and to take an early train to the airport.

It was clean, comfortable and very centrally located. Staff were friendly, helpful and communicative.

Breakfast wasn’t included.

Reception staff was excellent. They offer you a free beverage as a welcoming. The "restaurant " staff was not nearly as friendly or efficient. Playing loud music during breakfast? Cleaning staff was wonderful-cheerful, helpful and most accommodating.

Very large room, central location, nice interior decoration. I really enjoyed the fact that the room is very spacious and has armchairs and a sofa.

Sometimes there was a bit of noise from the music of the bar below, but never until too late.

Location

The location is excellent. Very short walk to the train station and street cars one-half block away. The staff is excellent; they couldn’t have been more helpful. They met all our needs (we were with a group of 24).

It is definitely a boutique hotel (not modern) - each room is a little different. We could have used more draw space. You have no control over the room temperature. In October we were very warm at night and had to ask for a fan and leave the window open. Rooms facing the street are very noisy on the weekend, because of bars and outdoor seating on the street.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is situated right near the train station which made it easy to get around the city and attractions. There was fun, funky design to the rooms as well, storage for luggage built into the walls, and a desk where my fiancé would work on his school work.

The rooms are incredibly cramped, especially if you have an interior view you feel like you're in a bit of a closet. The room also had some nice wallpaper but the bed was fairly uncomfortable and the hotel in general felt a built worn. Overall not worth the price.

some “character” touches in the room weren’t a total success, eg a wonky side table that it was a little risky to set a drink on.

Comfortable place to stay with a pleasant sitting area next to the bar/restaurant. Good breakfast with real Italian espresso.

Location was excellent. Close to transport close to shops and close to food.

The only small bug for me was the room temp. It was warm and when you are in bed, the bedding is so thick, I was sweating and there wasn’t an option apart from removing the cover completely.

Location was close to the train station and old town Zurich. The food was excellent, as well as there service. Friendly, accommodating staff.

The bed was hard.

It was very close to the Bahnhofstrasse and the staff helped me locate a municipal hammam.

The bathroom was small. Next time I would prioritise this over the floor we were on, if there is, indeed an option to do so; my husband is very tall and bathrooms are always a bit of a challenge!

The hotel is in a fantastic location just minutes from the train station which was perfect for our early morning departure for the Bernina Express. The check in staff were friendly, funny and very welcoming and we felt right at home from the very beginning. Our room was large and very comfortable for our family of 4. Highly recommend.

The location is great. The rooms are nicely equiped. The personal is extremely friendly.

The bad partner was Booking, yes, Booking. I asked to correct my reservations four times - no answer at all. Booking is very poor in handling questions of clients.
