Pulitzer Hotel, Amsterdam

I had a wonderful stay at the Pulitzer Amsterdam! I especially loved the location — right in the heart of the city, close to everything but still quiet and charming. The comfort of the hotel was exceptional, from the stylish rooms to the cozy atmosphere throughout. We also really enjoyed the restaurants — the food was excellent and the service was great. I would definitely stay here again!

Room size for a five star hotel to small. No drawers. No space for two carry on bags to unpack.

Loved our room. But hotel was super busy. Welcome was not really nice even though it was my birthday. The gay barman was not nice at all, the would t serve us drinks outside , we had to ask 10 times for someone to come and serve us a bottle of rose!

Our room was next to the bar. 1 night very much noise. And room door did not protect from the the noise.

Lobby was crowded at times, concierge happy to help set things up, but messed up reservations at two restaurants and one excursion. It all worked out but they felt harried. Room was beautiful with nice view of interior patio - however was a bit space challenged

We truly enjoyed everything about our stay, from the service, design and cleanliness to the delicious breakfast, warm staff, and perfect central location.

The lunch, dinner and 24/7 menus could offer more variety and better alternatives to match the overall high standards of the hotel.

A very well executed and unusual concept. Almost a village within a city! Delightful!

The property has an “edgy” character that is fun without being flamboyant. The rooms are comfortable. The staff (with a notable exception) is professional, friendly and anticipative of your needs. The location puts it within walking distance of most attractions.

The notable exception is the housekeeping staff. They often forgot to provide enough towels or toilet paper and one day the room did not get cleaned until almost 8 pm.

There was a problem at the first night and they worked it out very well , I was happy

We were placed in a handicap room, which had shortcomings for a non-handicapped couple. Told it was the only option even though we booked weeks in advance. We had breakfast onsite - there was confusion by staff about the options and we paid $44 each for a very simple non-buffet breakfast

Terrace restaurant staff were not nice

It is in the perfect location for walking around Amsterdam and has a lovely courtyard garden to relax in afterwards.

We were in an attic bedroom which had lots of sloping ceilings and we are both tall.

Second time at Pulitzer and enjoyed it as much as first time. A well looked after property.

Not so much the property but the staff at the garden restaurant that had this air of superiority over their customers. Really made me feel unwelcome and so it was for other customers too as I saw the exchange on arrival asking for a table. Didn’t pick this up from the other hotel staff who were excellent.

Location and interesting architecture

First, the property is truly stunning. Second, the checking process was a dream. I flew in from NY landing before check in but as I had reached out before they were able to check me into one of our rooms early which was appreciated. They also expedited my laundry- again appreciated. The concierge, doormen and porters were all exceptionally helpful and true asset to the hotel. Food: We had beautiful weather so we're lucky enough to start our trip with nibbles and champagne in the garden. We ate breakfast in Janzs both days, and it was excellent - free flowing cava and coffee, making for an excellent start to the day. We did pre-dinner drinks at the garden bar the first night and post dinner drinks at the Pulitzer Bar the second. Both had exceptional drinks, and when one of the cocktails wasn't to someone's liking - they replaced it for free. Other facilities- I had a blow-dry in The Beauty House and that was fair value for money - the best thing is that it is onsite but has an independent feel. The gym, whilst small, has everything needed for a great workout - with high quality machines and equipment. They also have an online workout App available which I found very helpful as I lacked inspiration after a long flight. This was my second time to the Pulitzer and it would take something significant for me to stay anywhere else for a personal trip.

One of our rooms didn't have much light and was dark. There is also only enough coffee for one use, and 2 tiny UHT milks. This is not enough for big tea and coffee drinkers.

The hotel is right in the middle of things. The Jordaan is our favourite bit of A’dam. It’s a buzzy hotel, on trend and with a great relaxed vibe. Staff are really responsive and want to help. In particular we’d like to shout out the great services of the concierges Pieter and Robert who suggested and booked restaurants that perfectly matched our preferences. And, then to Pieter who got me tickets for an exhibition I thought was sold out. I am now a big fan of Concierge services!

Nothing to complain about really - our room could get a bit hot as we had a massive radiator that I couldn’t switch off. But then, there were windows so we could let cold air in.

Everything was alright. I wish they included breakfast in the price. I have travelled extensively for such a luxury hotel, and it is strange not to include breakfast. For that reason alone, I wouldn't recommend it to my likeminded friends

Loved the location (very close to Anne Frank house which was purpose of visit). Hotel was stylish and breakfast was fantastic. All the staff made me and my daughter feel super welcome and special.

Amazing hotel. It’s our second time staying there and we’ve enjoyed it every single time! The staff go above and beyond and are so helpful. The atmosphere and vibe is very relaxed and luxurious - we cannot fault the hotel and really enjoy our stays there. The location is ideal, you can walk around the main areas with ease and it feels a very safe and creative space.

Love the location, the bed, quirkyness decor & history of the whole hotel. Loved the design of the room and the artistic touches, as well as they map of the hotel.

The window was awkward to access in our room but i understand that comes with an old quirky building.

Beautiful old house with cosy rooms, big Terrasse, bar in the evening. Located close to Central station. 15-20 mins walk from main Dam square.

No spa, no sauna

This is a beautiful boutique hotel located in a perfect location. The decor is lovely, the staff was amazing and helpful, the dining was too notch- highly recommend. And a good price point as well!

Beautiful location, room, staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant Jansz and Pulitzer garden excellent.

Pulitzer bar music way too loud. When asked to lower the volume, I was grumpily told they wouldn’t do so. Therefore I left with my glass of wine. Too loud, too rude, so unlike the rest of my experience. Heater was on too high most of the time (also at night while not having the key inserted)

Fantastic hotel in a superb location for exploring the City on foot. Rooms were large with very comfortable beds and exceptionally quiet. Cannot really fault anything !
