Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown, Chicago

Location was great. So was breakfast ! Great hotel

The only negative was the valet. It took us forever to find the valet when we arrived and then it took about 30 minutes or more for it to get our car when we left.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Handy location for playing tourist in downtown Chicago.

The hotel is very near the fire station, so occasional awakenings by sirens in the night. Not much the hotel can do about that!

Next door is a sports bar called the farm blares load music until 10-11pm Friday Saturday and Sunday! Music bounces off the building across the street right into the guest rooms! I encountered this on Sunday night!

There was hair in my bathroom and it was quite noisy at night but I knew that was due to being downtown and other guests. Not any fault of the hotel.

The breakfast was fantastic. I appreciated the texts from the front desk. I hate calling on the phone.

It was stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was varied enough and filling.

One of the bath towels smelled like it had been washed with greasy kitchen towels.

Breakfast was good, nice dining area overlooking street, nice pool and exercise room. Good location too.

Too busy on checkin...only 3 desks to checkin so felt rushed. My first time in Chicago and booked for personal service and did bot get it. Check in was terrible

It was a satisfactory stay. The best part was the location. Close to everything. The elevators were usually crowded.

Breakfast was good. We had to grab and go one day and the woman working was very helpful - grabbed plastic wrap for us to cover our selections!🙂

Toilet too low

Location is perfect and that's super important in Chicago. The great majority of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall the room was good for us eventually (a family of 5 including a 8-month old baby) - a one bedroom king suite. The baby slept with us and the kids on the pull-out sofa in the other room. It was pretty quiet at night.

We asked ahead for a baby crib. We were expected to assemble the crib ourselves (!) and half way through found out it was broken. They sent someone up to help us that was very unhelpful. He eventually replaced it with another crib but he, again, expected us to assemble ourselves. Only after repeat attempts that didn't work we called them back and he came to do it himself. The kids beds were not made and were missing sheets, etc. we did all that ourselves. The beds, especially the pull-out, are very uncomfortable. trash cans had no waste bags inside, there was no soap in the kitchenet and the small bathroom-shower had no vent and was quite worn down. We had to spend another 58$ per night for car parking in a self-park a block away. It is important to mention that the front desk staff was very helpful with all the problems and worked to fix them.

Location and cleaniless

The room was too dark. You could hear ppl having sex in other rooms cos walls are kinda thin or maybe they were too loud idk.

The staff was the absolute best.

Needs better pillows

Room: The room facilities are new and modern. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We love the shampoo and conditioner the most. It smells good and makes my hair fluffy after washing. Breakfast: It was included in the room rate and it was delicious. The breakfast selections were a little different each day which was nice. Our favorites were the omelets and the self-made waffles.

Location: It's too close to the fire station. It's a bit noisy when sleeping at night. And we stayed on the 12th floor, and we could hear clanging noises all the time, not sure if it was from the roof or the pipes. Please prepare sleeping earplugs. Staff: We arrived at around 8pm. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. The valet parking person at the door was very kind and called the staff out for us. Laundry: Guest laundry facilities were dirty and smelly and need cleaning.

We should have called front desk, there were extreme loud noises and conversations in the room next to us after midnight. I wonder if anybody ever reads these reviews.

The location is great. The rooms are big and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
