Good location, mediocre hotel.
Breakfast? Out of food. They knew the number of guests but still ran out of food.
$100/night hold on credit card was excessive. I requested 2 beds(traveling with my sister) but they tried to get me to take 1-bed room even though I specified 2 in the reservation.

Overall, a great weekend stay.
Welcoming and friendly. Nice shower, decent bed. River North location is great (if you can stand the fire station noises next door)...close to great eating, transportation, etc.
The breakfast was very crowded and there were very few choices. We stayed two nights and skipped it the second morning. The small sofa in the room seemed rather worn.

I could not download the digital key. Tried having front desk text me and still didn’t work. Received a text about my stay and told them I couldn’t get my digital key and no response.

Clean facility
Complimentary coffee was on the second floor. Inconvenient to go up and down.
Front desk employees were not kind.

awesome city, awesome stay!
really nice stay, if someone wants to stay downtown Chicago, this is certainly a very good choice in my eyes; especially hospitality and customer service was absolutely great (I faced „challenges“ with my credit card… and they resolved it really pragmatic!). Thank you team @ Hampton Inn THANK YOU especially to Jody!!!
Check-in took quite a while… indeed we arrived Saturday afternoon and it was definitely check-in „prime time“ with a long queue

Clean and perfectly located hotel to discover the City.
Perfectly located, really close to mostly everything. Clean and spacious rooms.
Couch in the accessory room was not really comfortable; could use an improvement.
Breakfast was acceptable but some more options to choose from would be good.

Breakfast was very good and had lots to choose from. Room was very clean, hot shower, comfy mattress, sheets and pillows. Friendly staff and great location!!
Wish there was daily housekeeping like in the 'old days'...pre Covid!

Excellent Stay, Excellent Value
Two grandparents (late 70s) w/ two grandchildren (8 and 13) for a 3 day/4 night adventure in Chicago. Hotel was GREAT, really GREAT. Breakfast was exceptional. Kids loved the pool and exercise facility. Staff (all of them) were very friendly and helpful. Location (Near North Side) was perfect for our purposes. Metro and bus were very close (w/in 2 blocks). More than ample restaurants nearby. One in the hotel. And . . . AND . . . the price was reasonable, very reasonable. Holy c**p!! Stay here.

I loved the location and the rooms were good. The free breakfast was a great touch! Again the location was great. I was able to walk alot of places
There was no outside seating besides the terrace that closed at 10p and the breakfast section could have had more variety.

Excellent staff, property in the heart of Chicago.
Great location. Nice pool. Great breakfast! Great valet service.
The one elevator that ran for the duration of the weekend out of the 3 total that should be available. Long waits to get to your room from the lobby or the breakfast area.

A needed mini getaway that helped reset my world.
Valet Parking was incredibly helpful! The room and beds were comfortable and for being such a "busy" city - we had a little oasis in our room.
Pool was quite cold - breakfast was a circus, but that wasn't necessarily the hotels fault.

Great rooms, spacious and excellent for families. Excellent location and helpful staff.
The elevators were a nightmare. Ended up using stairs most of the time. Line for breakfast was long. Requested housekeeping but they didn’t show.
