We stayed in the heritage wing of the Residency Hotel Fort. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. They were very attentive and very helpful, helping with luggage, organising taxis, translation, answering questions, and giving helpful advice. They got us a taxi right away when we had a medical emergency. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of food (fruits, dosas, omelettes, waffles, pav bhaji, coffee, tea, juice, lassi, and much more). Right next to the hotel is a laundry service (pay per item). We are very glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Mumbai.

There was some renovation work going on next door, which meant drilling noises past 8pm on the first evening. Sometimes the hotel card didn't work but there was always a member of staff available to help open the room and remagnetise the card (card should be kept separate from phone, which we tried to do as much as possible).

Lovely place to stay within easy walking access to most major places to visit. Breakfast was exceptional. Staff couldn’t be nicer and made us feel very welcome. Always helpful.

A really great hotel right the in heart of the main area of Mumbai to cover the sights. The staff were extremely welcoming, and the breakfast excellent! Highly recommend!

Overall a pleasent stay this hotel. We were able to check in 4 houirs earluy after our arrival at 8am. The room was clean and relatively quiet (apart from the noisy fridge) Although the bin was very dirty and rusty and although it was emptied every day the plastic bag was never replaced during our stay. The TV did not work and despite my requests was not fixed - although it not really bother us and we were too busy to be watching tv but it is nice to have the news on whilst in the room. Location was excellent walking/subway distance from the gateway, CSMT station and the colonial area of downtown Mumbai. Staff were excellent, very knowledgable and helped me out with obtaining a sim card. Rajeesh especially. Breaksfast was sufficient and the waiters & chef supper helpful and friendly.

The Residency has been a regular hotel for us when in Mumbai partly due to its location in the area we like but also because the staff are really helpful and accommodating. Booking the larger rooms was a great option.t

A beautiful surprise in Mumbai that we are very grateful - and will come back again to! We had a wonderful stay with great hospitality (thank you Rajesh and Team), excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, awesome shower, all in the centre of Mumbai and within close reach of all major sights. Highly recommend for leisure and business trips!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with very good Dosa and Cappuccino!

Well situated in quiet though accessible street in a great part of Mumbai. The complimentary lime water in reception area and afternoon tea and coffees in the lounge made by Peter. Superb breakfasts and very nice cooks and waiters. The staff were extremely helpful - Rajesh organised our uber to the airport, good priced excursions can be arranged from the reception desk, and nothing was too much trouble. The elderly owner chatted every morning to visitors. Some of the visitors had been coming back regularly over many decades!

Very helpful staff, room comfy and spotless, breakfast good, location very easy got find (right near metro station) and a great base to start exploring from. Staff helped us sort SIM card and taxi away. We felt very looked after, while we got out bearings, and it was nice that we could chill for a bit, including after checkout, in the lounge. Thanks!

The hotel is right in the centre of Mumbai in the Fort area. It means its feasible to walk to most downtown places if you want. The staff were simply exceptional - they sorted a sim for the phone, gave advice that was really useful - and were consistently friendly and efficient.

Mumbai is more expensive than most of India and the same is true of hotels. The hotel represents good value for money when compared to the resr of Mumbai.

The staff were incredibly attentive and kind. The bed was firm, making for a good night sleep. In terms of location, within easy walking distance to many great stops for history and culture. Would recommend staying here

Location was excellent as were the brilliant staff. Very easy access from airport by metro. TV which enabled me to watch my team Liverpool v Inter Milan in the CL.

During my next visit to Mumbai I will definitely stay here again. Comfortable and immaculate room, super friendly staff, decent breakfast. And the location, with Fort, Kala Ghoda, Colaba, Crawford Market etc. all within walking distance, is just perfect. Recommended!

Very good location. Fantastic, helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast and free tea and coffee in the afternoon. Would recommend the personal taxi tour of south Mumbai.

The room was a little small. Shower spray was also a touch wild.

Mostly, loved everything about this hotel except the size of the room. So, I'd advise booking a larger room and skipping the basic one especially if you're staying with a plus one. Besides that, the room was clean, furnishings good, bathroom was clean with warm water available. The breakfast was also pretty good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The Location was also convenient slightly off the main road, so it wasn't noisy.

Kind, astute service and location.

Great location, ten minutes from India Gate. Our room although small was comfortable and this was reflected in the price. Genuine and helpful staff. Excellent food in the restaurant. Complimentary tea and coffee in the afternoon was a nice touch and welcome after a days wandering the area.

Room was a little tired in places but it didn’t detract from our stay. Really can not complain considering prices in the area.

The staff were exceptional. Breakfast was great and it is near to the new metro which goes to the airport.

Water in the room was not refreshed.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we loved it. Interestingly, though we had the smaller heritage room in contrast the large heritage room for our first stay, honestly, I preferred the smaller room, as it was better laid out. Yes, it was compact, but we had space for everything, the bathroom was quite big and there is a lounge room close by to use if you wanted more space. The beds were comparably comfortable, the wardrobe is big and all the usual amenities were provided. We loved the delicous, plentiful breakfasts and the fact that breakfast was available reasonably early, so we could eat then get to tours we had booked. The staff, including in the breakfast room were all very friendly, helpful and professional. The close proximity of this hotel to the new metro and to CSMT, made it very easy to explore Mumbai and to come and go from the airport. It's also walking distance from some of the best sights in Mumbai, and just walking around Fort is a treat in itself, given the mix of colonial and modern architexture.

Wonderful staff, from reception to housekeeping to breakfast area. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were near lots of restaurants and cafes. The hotel had options for tours which we took advantage of. Breakfast was a delight.

Reviews are true. The staff at this hotel are super nice and will go the extra mile for you. Very nice atmosphere. Rooms are nice and clean, but the window wasn't much. I personally like this location; less touristy than further towards Gate of India. Walking distance to a lot of attractions. Would definitely stay again

There’s nothing I dislike more than.

Great location from which to explore Mumbai by foot, taxi or there is a metro close by. We stayed three nights and each day had a delicious breakfast and were helped in anyway needed by the really approachable and friendly staff. We would recommend this hotel as a convenient base in Fort area if staying in Mumbai.

At the time of our stay there was scaffolding outside our window so did not have a clear view outside.

All the staff, from people who greeted as at the entrance to hosting us for afternoon tea and breakfast, everyone was very helpful and kind. Special thanks to the team who helped fix our bag! The service was over and beyond our expectation. We eould definitely book again.

The room was clean but a bit outdated. Still we had everything we needed for a short stay.

I quite liked my stay here. It was my first trip to India and Mumbai can be somewhat intense and stressful. But this place offered a central location and a calm place to pull back to and relax. The rooms aren't huge but definitely sufficient and not cramped. It's also very clean and the food is good. The concierge Rajesh was particularly helpful and saw to everything I needed!

I don't really have anything negative to say. The place really met my expectations. And if there were any issues, the staff was keen to do what they can to correct the situation.

The hotel staff are all very professional and friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast was fine and you can have eggs made fresh for you. There are plenty of shops for anything you need a few minutes walk away - supermarket, pharmacy, clothes shops.

The staff are fantastic; so helpful, attentive and kind. The location is perfect, and well positioned to explore all the sights. We loved the afternoon chai and the freshly cooked breakfast. Nothing was a problem. Hotel well placed for an easy metro ride to the airport.

The staff were so lovely! very very accommodating and welcoming, we immediately felt comfortable, especially after a really long flight. was really helpful having a nice hearty breakfast before we started the day. Everything seemed fairly walkable from where we were, but we only stayed a night

Nothing really of note - only thing I would say was our room was a bit cold and we couldn't turn the AC off.. but the beds were so comfortable and we got an upgrade so genuinely wasn't bad at all!
