Generator Hostel, Rome

I liked the fact everything was inorder and good staff

I didn't like that I couldn't take my girlfriend inside when she came visiting me

Great location , nice room and bathroom insuite type ... Breakfast is extra to pay... Man on reception is super friendly and give me good tip about attractions and metro transportation ...

There is no kitchen to prepare snack to dinner, and not allowed to bring food and drinks in

I liked that there was dryer for clothes in the bathroom. That was very comfortable to dry some small clothes. Also that a working mood was accompanied by the working atmosphere in the Generator Hostel. The personal were very professional, nice and friendly

The customer service was very good, and the lobby area was very nice with a bar as well.

Coming back in the night, the shared rooms were pitch black. More night lights would be helpful

Great staff, great time spent there

- The rooms are kept very clean and tidy, beds aren’t squeaky. - Staffs are extremely friendly & helpful. - Public areas are spacious and nice to chill in.

- The door doesn’t unlock right away after you insert the key card, have to insert it 2-3 times until it does (happened to all roommates). - The shower’s drain was clogged and there were many small flies in both the toilet and shower rooms. - The hostel is in an area filled with many immigrants and most times many men gather outside buildings in day and night time (don’t know for what reason), so it can be a bit scary for solo female travellers.

Very good hostel, every time I come to Rome I stay here. Close to Termini Station, nice rooms, clean bathrooms and friendly staff. They have lockers to leave your luggage for a fee.

The staff was amazing and always ready to help. The room was always clean and the access was very easy.

The only bad aspect for me was the location. The access is very easy but not that safe at night. Near the train station.

Friendly reception. Friendly environment. Easy to speak with other guests. Clean and comfortable bed. Nice shared space with access to a refrigerator. Clean bathroom in each room.

Nothing to note

The beds were fairly comfy and self contained so you still could have personal light , though could do with curtains for some privacy and light issue when people wake up at different times and leave lights on.

The air con in the room didn’t work. I was originally in a room with all boys as I had booked mixed dorm. Though you cannot guarantee other girls in the room, I believe staff should not have made me pay for an upgrade to go to the female due to safety. The rooftop wasn’t open which was a shame during warmer weather, and so just had to sit inside in my room and seating area downstairs as there aren’t many places to go

Amazing staff.... Wana is helpful and kind I'm also amazed at how Filipinos work. Accessibility to everything and the location was awesome Hostel is incredibly good I will definitely recommend it to my friends

Walking distance to the main attractions in the city. Comfortable bed, staff are friendly and facilities are clean.

The location wasn't ideal

Had a good stay here, location is convenient and the bed was comfortable. Little pricy, but it’s Rome.

I was pleasantly surprised! The hostel was very nice and clean, offering many more facilities than a 4-star hotel, and it was well-maintained. Its location provided easy access to Termini Station (the main station in Rome) and Emanuel Station, situated in a vibrant area of the city. I highly recommend it for both long and short stays, especially for female solo travelers.

It's international Professional The best hostel-beds, just like in other Generator-Hostels Well thought-through beds with privacy wall for the head And lockers which make use of the space under the bed The beds made out of metal. So no grinding noises in the night The ladder at the foot-end, welded to the bed. So here too, no noises in anyone's face Would be nice if Generator would make long-term-hostels or something like that. So that you can actually really live there for years Would be the end of the housing-crisis...

Room was spacious and had two bathrooms, the living room area downstairs was nice, beds were comfortable, everything was clean. The hostel is very close to the central station. You get a welcome drink.

No kitchen area so you can't prepare your own meal (they didn't even have mugs or cutlery). The area around the hostel was kinda shady.

The staff is really nice and the hostel rooms are pretty spacious and clean. It is near the termini station and other tourist attractions.

Price and facilities in general. The neighborhood seems a bit unsafe, but it is near the main train station and restorants, actually, just by walking a bit you can arrive to "trattoria vecchia roma" very good restorant.

Just the toilets wasn't that comfortable and clean, it could be a bit better. Although I also think it's a bit of guests fault.

The Staffs are friendly. I took the private room, which was very comfortable for a short business trip. It is close to the Termini, making it comfortable to catch any transport to other parts of the city.

Nice location close to Termini station. Quite spacious and reasonably clean rooms with bathrooms.

The staff was not very friendly. The roof terrace was closed (please open it, the view should be good from there!)

Staff was VERY friendly. Room was well equipped and VERY clean. Location was extremely convenient to Termini Station and affordable places to eat. 24hr staff was great. Easy entrance/exit system. I enjoyed my stay.

Storage Locker system did NOT work, ate my money and left me with no locker to store my heavy backpack (prior to check-in.) Very bad. Also, the bunk beds had some sort of mesh on the bottom that was very noisy every time someone got in/out of bed, or turned in bed. Disruptive to sleep. Location was in a slightly less desireable neighborhood, though I never felt unsafe.

I think the staff were very helpful and kind. I mistakenly booked a mixed room but since I am a Muslim I can't share a room with guys. But the staff really handled the situation professionally because I went there alone and if they just kicked me out Idk where to go. haaha

I just dislike that others use slippers in the room. I didn't know that and I didn't bring a slipper with me. I think the administrator needs to prepare room slippers to avoid dirt on the floor.
