Generator Hostel, Rome

Hostel was very clean and the facilities were great. I could leave my backpack for the whole day with extra charge but it was ok

Mattress were not very comfortable but the room was clean and great

Good location near the Termini Station, just less than 5 minutes away from the airport last stop. The area is a bit of a dump, tho. Safe and good standards, with decent internet.

The room lock is so stupidly loud that it's hard to believe.

The locker is small than the standard luggage You feel you are in India or bengladish

Decoration, we love the ice cream sale at the reception, it was very clean

The BEDS, OMG we couldn’t sleep, not even a bit, they were so small, and we were two, when we put those 2 beds together to make 1 and fell asleep they got separated several times during the night. I also hit myself with the corner of one of those very low quality and uncomfortable beds

- Paid lockers!! - Tragic internet (not able to connect for half hour, then not reliable and speed max 1-5Mbps). - Have to pay basically for everything extra (towels, breakfast etc.. for one of the most expensive hostel in the locality (not standard in other hostels in Rome) - Avoid getting central upper bed. Room Light will be blinding from a distance about 1 m when you would like to take some rest before bed time :(

It was not a great experience when it comes to staffs hospitality and to the hostel neighborhood. Poor breakfast.

Standard Generator hostel. The staff was very nice.

Breakfast wasn't very good. Especially compared to other Generator hostels.

Recommend the hostel for other tourists. I haven’t tried food there, but the comfort of the hostel is great in every aspect.

Be careful when booking a place in a mixed room, there might be the guys who snore the whole night)

The room was spascious and clean staff were friendly, the common area have some board games bus station nearby

There is no kitchen, the area surronding the hostel is sketchy

Although it was expensive compared to other hostels, I was also charged for leaving luggage.

Clean, comfortable, good location, nice people at reception, bar at the place.

Bright and vibrant communal areas to meet in, staff are so friendly, breakfast on the top floor gave a great view of Rome.

My room was right next to the cleaners entrance and the door was banging at night or quite early in the morning. Felt like the hinge of door entrance to the room was falling apart.

The bedrooms are big, and we have separated bathrooms in each bedrooms which is amazing. The lobby is nice and you have space to work. The location is very near the train central station.

The breakfast for 8 euros is disappointing, nothing fresh all industrialized. And also the things at the bar are very expensive.

Raised the rates considerably due to hotel room shortage over the weekend i stayed. Not enough storage space in room. Dodgy electrics.

Close to Termini Station so I didn't have to carry luggage far.

€8 for a beer? Bit of a rip off in fairness. I did buy many beers there though for the sake of its convenience. Room 506. Difficult to lock the bathroom doors. Smaller bathroom extractor wasn't working. Peeling ceiling paper in the main dorm. Other than that it was fine. Breakfast recipe was fixed with little option beside what kind of beverage you wanted. They ran out of nuts halfway through my stay and were replaced by these biscuit wafer types.

Property perfectly located for a “bump and run” visit to Rome. It’s clean, staff are friendly, locker system works well.

It is expensive, but so is Rome…

The room was spacious, staff helpful and friendly. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable.. We liked the feel and atmosphere of the place and particularly enjoyed the roof terrace in the mornings. The surrounding area felt safe and it was a great location-close to train station and good restaurants. We have stayed in generator hostels in London and Copenhagen and this was the best by far

Only thing that would have improved the experience would have been if there was access to the roof terrace in the afternoon or evening. But this is a minor thing

Room was clean, the staff was extremely friendly and had everything available in an emergency (I locked my locker keys in the locker - they had a bolt cutter and new locks ready!)

Not a very social hostel

Loved the staff, lounge, rooftop breakfast and bar during the evenings. Room was keept clean every day and towels were always clean. Location close to main train station, very close to metro and great coffee places arround ♥️

Bathroom had rust and black mold, also window was not fully keeping the outside noise 😢 if those things would not be present the stay would be perfect

It was perfectly located - close to the train station and in comfortable walking distance from many of the major sights.

The prices were just too high for it being a shared room in a hostel.
