Fabulous breakfast. Serene, relaxing pool away from the bustle of Bangkok. Comfortable beds.

Nothing really but if I needed to find a couple of small things. Too many mirrors in the bathroom - confusing! Occasional slightly cold cappuccino.

Well designed hotel with great staff and food that made us feel at home.

This hotel is a piece of tranquility in the city centre. It was a pleasure to stay here since the overall quality is very high. We stayed at the club wing side.
Here are the highlights:
Positives:
-  pristine room cleanliness! I honestly think this was the most clean bedroom in any hotel!
- great service troughout.
- condition of the materials was better than expected even the older things.
- pool was warm and very clean. The tiles were in perfect condition.
- food quality was very good.
- the sound of the property birds gave a very tropical feeling each morning.
- bath amenities were very good. Diptyque Phylosikos.
- amazing gym and sauna!
- beautiful natural Christmas tree pine.

Negatives:
- the lounge was very disappointing. Lack of food variety and quantity. Honestly I think it would be preferable to have option to stay in the club wing section without actual club lounge acess for a discount or to really improve the lounge offerings. I felt it was very poor, almost miserable..
- pool location. The pool gets in shade most of the afternoon so it is best usable in the morning, but the water is also colder. The parking lot next to the hotel could be better camouflaged with plants. Some terrace curtains could also be improved to give a more uppscale feeling in the pool area. Pool WC were old/ poor and with lots of mosquitoes - should be considered a renovation.
- spa services on the upper high cost.
- breakfast restaurant. It needs an uplift and nicer decor with prestigious pieces. One frustrating aspect was the breakfast AC which was crazy cold everyday. Many people were asking to change tables to run from AC wind areas everyday. Just totally unnecessary.
- room AC noise could not be completely turn off at night.
- I miss oil burners or natural oil diffusors that many thai hotels display everywhere.
- room should have more lights.

Amazing property with the most caring and welcoming staff

We have stayed at many excellent 5* hotels and the staff at the Sukhothai were by far the best. Miss Best, a server at breakfast was the most delightful, attentive and competent and all the staff were sensational

There was nothing we didn’t like about the Sukhothai. Great pool, gym, room and restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding.

I loved everything!

This was the 5th time we came back from the Sukhothai. We can call it our home in Bangkok. The hotel has appointed some new staff members and you feel that they go all the way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Khun Nuum at the Club reception is exceptional. From booking restaurants to listening to your needs, he went in to great lengths. Thanks for that! This does not mean that the rest of the staff is less! They are all there to be the best!

Don't let guests reserve sunbeds in the morning

We booked the club room with balcony and it was wonderful and throughly memorable.

As soon as we entered the room, we were greeted with thoughtful decorations to mark a birthday celebration.

The room is equipped with a nice automatic / electric toilet! And a comfy day bed and table and chairs with the nice balcony with the view over look the sky line building and pool.

The staff at the club lounge, P, Noom, Keati, Maria provided exceptional service. So did Orn In the Scala restaurant.

We were attended at the spa By Dao and Penny . Both are wonderful.

In all, we cannot recommend Sukothai highly enough . An exceptional hotel and we will certainly visit again in the near future.

- 10 mins walk from nearest BTS or MRT station. It would be nice if there are tuk-tuk shuttle services. Having said that, this is still a walkable distance and the location trade off with serenity atmosphere.

Quality of food offerings and variety.

Venue too many tables in too small an area reduced the overall experience decided to opt for the club lounge breakfast

Everything was wonderful. Particularly the spacious bedroom and bathroom and the breakfast was delicious. Excellent service at breakfast and in the executive lounge.

BF was exceptionally good, a huge spread and many fresh and healthy options.
Overall this is a peaceful heaven in busy BKK.

The staff on the club floor at times were very junior and lacked attention to detail and did not always provide a level of service that a hotel of this standing should provide

The breakfast was an incredible spread as well as chefs available to customise your choice of eggs, create a fruit smoothie of you desire!

Everything. The people who work in this hotel are exceptional and the service was excellent. There is a relaxed ambience throughout the hotel and makes it an oasis in the heart of Bangkok. The breakfast, spa facilities and pool area are all to the highest standard. It is the perfect stay for your first time in Bangkok.

Nothing to dislike

The Sukhothai Bangkok was excellent. We rarely ever give a 10* rating, but it's well deserved - mainly because of the Club Wing staff. They made our stay truly great, caring for us and providing all the help we needed, especially since we were staying for 10 nights.

- Club Balcony room has a great terrace, highly recommended to book this one, it has beautiful BKK panorama and makes for a perfect place to chill after a long day
- Room was very spacious and very clean (with some super minor hiccups)
- Nice walk-in closet/wardrobe area with plenty of space for clothes
- Very spacious bathroom with both shower and bathtub
- The staff was incredibly kind
- The hotel's location is very good
- The Gym is huge and very well equipped, a pleasure to go there really
- Swimming Pool is also large and you can easily swim there

The hotel has some signs of wear and tear; not everything is brand new (but that adds to the charm).

Hotel restaurants were surprisingly pricy and while the food was very good, I'm not sure it was great value for money.

Normally, we would probably rate it 9*, but the service was so kind and helpful that we have to rate it 10*. All of the Club Wing, Gym and Swimming Pool staff were simply amazing.

The staff at Sukhothai are nothing short of incredible. Each and every member of their team deserves recognition. Their professionalism is unmatched, and they readily assist making your stay enjoyable.

This hotel is set in the most beautiful lush gardens, and is a wonderful tranquil retreat.
The staff, food, service and ambience are all perfect.

Feels a little dated. The “club” feels very pointless. I’d advise against upgrading to that category.
