Palazzo Zichy Hotel, Budapest

Excellent location, very elegant building, quiet area, the rooms are spacious, confortable bed. Huge bathroom, ours even had a jacuzzi. Coffe machine in the room. Very good breakfast available.

A few maintenance issues in the bathroom which were attended to

The breakfast provided was exceptional. Lots of variety to suit everybody's needs and taste.
We had a birthday and I asked a staff member if they had candles to place on a breakfast cake. The gentleman went out of his way to find candles and made the plate of cake look very nice adding a touch of fruit and they all sang happy birthday.
When I asked reception for best routes to get to places they were extremely helpful.

The only thing I would change would be the size of the room was rather small for our group. I stayed in a bedroom with my partner and an extra bed but having 3 beds in the room in the layout was very tight to move around when getting out of bed and moving around. We also didn't like the bathroom doors not having a lock for privacy and being glass. We just felt like it didn't provide enough privacy.

Good location close to tram 4-6, and the area is safe. Breakfast is nice with seasonal fruit options. The room was spacious and the bed comfy.

Lift is very slow. The shower tap and shower head were falling apart and was difficult to adjust temperature.

Honestly, everything was amazing! The hotel overall was beautiful, warm and clean and the staff was friendly, welcoming and super helpful. Our room was really warm and cozy, everything was clean and it had anything we needed.

The location is excellent...very central, with a neighbourhood that offers everything you could need. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped, making the stay extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return without hesitation.

The bar offers complimentary coffee and hot chocolate, adding a small biscuit or some chocolates would make the experience even better.

The location was perfect, only a 20 minute walk from the city centre and only 2 stops on the bus. The staff were so helpful and friendly! The rooms were very clean, would definitely stay here again. Great value for money. The sauna was so nice too!

The only small thing was the bathroom door is frosted glass and it cannot be locked. It was fine for me but if you were staying with someone else it would be a bit uncomfortable.

One of the elevators was quite slow.

We're very happy with everything, but if I have to mention something it is that it was a bit too warm inside the hotel, especially in the corridors.

It's always nice to be in Budapest. This hotel can be your trusted residence, while you're visiting this vibrant city. We return time and again and it's always a nice, comfortable stay with a good night sleep and hearty breakfast. Just please don't stuff croissants into your handbag, like that lady from Moscow I've seen once at breakfast. Hilarious though.

Great staff, welcoming and excellent customer service. The location is fantastic. Close to tram, metro and buses and also close to places of interests in Budapest.
The room is fantastic. Good size and well designed. Love that you can open the window for fresh air too.
Beds were comfortable. Place is quiet. Clean rooms and bathrooms.
We had a nice view of the square and enjoyed hearing the bells.

The ac inside the room can make a low noise. I didn’t mind it but if you’re sensitive to noise, it might.

Comfortable, clean, with good sound isolation and excellent amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff. I think we got upgraded because our room was much bigger than what we booked.

Not very child friendly, for example the sink and soap (wall mounted) are unreachable for a child
Also their automations are poorly programmed - they sent me a WhatsApp message and 2 emails to recommend their online checkout before 9am on the checkout day. The link didn’t load and the language was not the one I selected. I felt a bit kicked out by this…
There was no kettle in the room

Brilliant location, lovely staff. Breakfast was excellent. Comfort, clean and lovely bathroom.

Ac in the room wasn't cold enough and room was hot. There was no coffee machine in the room even though we booked a room with one, the staff said they'd get over but never did in spite of asking everyone.

Every aspect was superb: gracious and helpful staff, room, quiet location yet near bus, tram, Metro lines and restaurants, excellent breakfast.

Occasionally the elevator and I did not get along.

Lovely hotel and location. I really enjoyed my stay. Staff were friendly and very accommodating to my requests. I would definitely stay again if I ever return to Budapest.

Only minor issue was that the door to the mini fridge was off its hinges so that was a bit annoying.
