I had breakfast and lunch at the Saddle Room, and ordered room service for dinner. All meals were excellent. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Temperature controls in the room worked great. Ample storage space in the room. Room was well kept.

The only thing that was not kept that well in the bathroom was the soap holder in the bath. I am not 100% sure but I think they treated rust or something - it wasn’t rusted or anything but you could see that something was treated. Please note that health club does NOT give you a robe if you use the pool without using the spa. I was told to bring my own robe from my room. You can however use towels at the health club. The elevator to the health club was not working the day I stayed there. There were signs to walk over there instead, however the final door to the health club was locked. So the only option was to go outside and walk 3 doors down to the health club. I checked with the reception to confirm this and yes, that was it. So I walked to the health club outside in my flip flops with my robe in my hand. At that point, I had been wandering long enough in the building that I did not want to go back to my room to change into shoes. Thankfully, health spa staff opened the locked door for me on my way back. This is in no way a complaint about the staff on the ground, but a complaint about management not having procedures in place to implement for the ground staff when things like this happen. The pool grout is ready to be cleaned / redone in places. Better temperature control is needed for the pool.

The attentive and friendly staff made me feel welcomed and valued, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with high-end amenities that added to the overall comfort. The on-site dining options were fantastic, offering a diverse range of delicious cuisines. Additionally, the facilities, such as the spa were top-notch, creating a perfect environment for relaxation and indulgence. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience!

The food choices were limited and not accommodating to special diets. I try to avoid eating too much sugar or overeating.

The Shelbourne is a beautiful opulent hotel. The staff were pleasant friendly and were always on hand to help. Many a five star hotel always makes me feel inferior, but the staff made me feel welcoming and at home .

Polite, professional and courteous staff throughout the hotel. Recommend breakfast at the hotel. Have the lamb for dinner. The Guiness is as good as it gets. This was my second stay at The Shelbourne. Looking forward to my next reservation. I loved the oysters at the bar.

Drinks at the bar are pricey. However, the service is exceptional.

Beautiful hotel fantastic staff

Surprised breakfast wasn’t included, given the price. We were on the 1st floor and the music from a function was quite loud, but room was very comfortable so we slept well.

Ive always wanted to stay in The Shelbourne it lived up to my high expections.

1st floor residents bar was closed shame!

The beds were super comfortable! And the dressing gowns were great quality, so plush! Super comfy stay overall and a nice turn down service!

The entertainment facilities within the room could be modernised. For example, they did not have chromecast, access to sites such as Netflix for example, and the TVs are quite small for the size of the room. When you want to chill in the room and watch some TV, this could be improve. Personally, I do not like having the shower within the bath which was what our room had.

I liked the decor, ambiance, food, friendliness of staff.

I didn’t think the breakfast was as outstanding as it has been in the past. . It was fine but not to the same standard, I had to continually ask for coffee, and even though I did ask for a pot of coffee it was never facilitated, the staff were fantastic and I would say they did everything they could

Stayed in room 535 - John McCormack suite. I was disappointed with the layout of the suite, ensuite not being ensuite, but more the aspect/it being overlooked.

We came for racing at Naas and we had a most enjoyable stay at the Shelbourne, unfortunately immediately after the first race racing was cancelled due to the course being enveloped by fog.

Bed was extremely firm and pillows extremely soft. I guess everyone has differing preferences for bed and pillows but my partner had a poor sleep with the pillow type

Lovely central location with an incredible lobby and beautiful atmosphere during my stay just prior to Christmas. Staff are very attentive and anticipate how to assist you before you even know what you need.

Reception check in a bit slow waiting awhile for our room, but i understand its a very busy time could be a bit more friendly if im being over critial. Breakfast the first morning was slow and when i asked for butter was told by the waiter they had none left i repeated the request incase he didnt understand me but was told no we dont have any , i left it a few mins and asked a different staff member and got it promptly. Never got fresh toast when asked for it, waited a good 15mins to get my coffee few minor things and on the second morning service was very good . All small things but need more attention to detail for a good 5 star hotel. But had a lovely stay over all.
