The Crown Metropol Hotel, Melbourne

It was very ideal as we were using the convention centre over the week close to the DFO and the casino Loved it for the kids as there is a lot around

The bed mattress kept moving quite annoying, but otherwise can’t really fault the place

The customer service is always a cut above the rest, any request is handled with a smile. The bed was really comfy and it was very private.

The shower water pressure was horrible! also since the shower head wasn't adjustable, it took me 2 hours to wash my hair as it was very high and pointing in a inconvenient position so I ended up having to fill up glasses with water to use to wash out the product.

The waiting time to book in on arrival was poor. Checking in on new software not an option as not working correctly. Staff was friendly and helpful though reception appeared to be short staffed. Dirty serviett on floor in room. (not cleaned properly). Overall was good. Pool staff were great to meet and talk with and the pool was wonderful.

The staff were polite, room was very clean and super comfy bed.

Getting back from the casino late at night, tried ordering room service but unfortunately it was not available. I think being such a big complex you should have 24/7 room service.

Our luggage took a long time to come to the room, and with a baby we had to call to see how long till our bags would get brought up and then waited another 20mins very long time and only complaint.

Short stay room was very clean and neat, good to see mini bar stocked

The pool and size of room

The bathroom in the room wasn’t private. Sliding doors only that don’t leave much to the imagination. The bed wasn’t attached to headboard and so would roll away when you sit up in bed.

The fruit platter selection was fantastic. Room was clean, pillows and mattress comfortable.

The shower ran out of shower wash and was empty so these could be checked after each guest for refil

The room and beds were comfortable. We would not stay again. Very impersonal and lacking any personality.

Booking over Cup day was probably not the best idea. The hotel was so busy and I don't think they managed it very well. The pool was obscenely busy - the only time we could go swimming was at 7:30-8am otherwise it was absolutely packed and not enjoyable. The rooms are nice but they are starting to feel a little dated for the price. There are no USB outlets which seems petty to comment on but for the price these types of things should be available.

The room was very clean however the view was poor as we overlooked a car park. the pool was great and very convenient to use, and the staff made us feel welcome.

The car parking arrangements were difficult to follow. We used the valet parking on the last night which was quite expensive. I felt that this could have been part of the cost for the room as it was quite expensive to stay.

No in room food in dining after 11 pm , staff bit less trained about whereabouts of their own hotels as crown being a massive expansive building with 3 hotels connected with the same building ..

Our room was great nice view etc but needed some maintenance ( cracks in the bathroom sink)

The location is perfect and provides easy access to the cbd.

It seems that customer service isn’t the staffs number one priority. They mostly have this chip on their shoulder and arrogance rather than listen to their customers needs and wants.

Nice hotel in a good location. Pool area and gym is nice too. Would recommend.

Convenient location , near convention center

The big comfy beds, the pool, the spacious room, the fact that it’s adults only in the pool after 8pm.

The blockout blind was broken and the bathroom sink was not draining properly.

Location was really easy. Spa and sauna were lovely.

The bedroom was so warm all the time. I’m someone who always complains I’m cold and I was roasting in there as was my husband. Also found the gym way too hot, I’m there to work up a sweat and I didn’t even have to do anything to start sweating.

Easy access to southbank restaurants, crown complex and easy parking. Great pool and gym. Helpful staff. Clean, tidy rooms . Comfortable beds.

The bathroom was not completely contained in its own room. Therefore, the use of lights and bathroom noise was noticed in the main room , especially at night. The toilet and shower door were glass doors (only slightly opaque). Therefore, there was not enough privacy when using the toilet or shower from other people in bathroom. Other people could not enter to use basin at all while shower or toilet were being used. There were four adults sharing our one room. And felt this lack of privacy was very inconvenient.

Location. Ease of access to city. Kid friendly. Amazing views. Pool facilities gorgeous.

12 yr old couldn’t use the gym with his dad which is part of his normal routine.

Good size room, nice and clean, nice view. Comfy dressing gowns.

Room was big. clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was wonderfully quiet also. The location was perfect because we were there for a convention, and the 24h rate for parking was so much cheaper than anywhere else.

I couldn't find the room service menu even after having been directed to where it should have been, and the minibar menu had no pricing on most of what was in there. I had been really looking forward to room service in the morning so I was very sad.

Room was good

breakfast was not included in the price. We paid extra for breakfast but to be honest the breakfast was only average compared to the breakfast buffet of other large hotel chains.

We were given keys to our room and found cleaning supplies in the room! Cleaning had not been completed. We also had to request milk as there was none in the minibar. There are no phone charging outlets.

Rooms great, comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Clean and quiet ensuring and excellent rest.

Perhaps a QR code in room to access hotel information and services e.g room service Advice was to go to Crown website but could never find information we were looking for and it’s a pain to have call reception all the time .

You dont need to leave Crown. Nice and warm. Pool area was nice between 12-2, when it wasnt crowded with families and kids.

Spa was not very hot, and was full of young children using it like a swimming pool, jumping and kicking.
