Shangri-La Kerry Hotel, Beijing

Everything about the hotel was impressive.

My son lost his Teddy that he sleeps with. It is possible that it was removed unintentionally when the duvets were changed. I am not suggesting that there was any theft as the item was not one that anyone could steal. Although there was a language barrier for the most part, most hotel employees really went out of their way to accommodate us.

The breakfast was good, had a good selection of local and international food. However the coffee was not good, too watery. The room was spacious and clean and there were nespresso capsules. The pillows though had a weird smell not because they are dirty or anything but they were streamed for too long, they needed a fabric softener with good scent. The room service was amazing, we ordered salmon and pasta which both were great in taste. the bathroom was big with sections for shower and tub with a door to not mess up the entire bathroom with water. The concierge was super helpful whenever we needed to go to any place, helping us as well to order DIDI to go wherever we needed

The Kerry Hotel is the best hotel we ever experienced while abroad. It was our first trip to China and the neighbourhood already made quite an impression; the staff was helpful, the premises very impressive (there's an Olympic swimming pool, which really sealed the deal for me as an avid swimmer!), the breakfast was also absolutely worth it. A concierge also was very helpful to help us visit Beijing (how to get from one place to another, how to make reservations, etc). We absolutely loved it! We would also very warmly recommend the "T9" tea shop which is in the mall next to the Kerry hotel. We discovered this brand in China and now we can't wait for the brand to come to Europe, too!

A magnificent hotel with a high level of European quality. We were accommodated in a club room on the top twenty-first floor of the building and as members of the club on the eighteenth floor we had the opportunity to have breakfasts, lunches and dinners with a magnificent view of the modern Beijing's Downtown. The location of the hotel is very convenient for getting to the Great Wall or walking around downtown. October is the best time to visit these places and Beijing. Everyone speaks English in the Kerry Hotel. The most important thing for me is the cleanliness of the rooms and the attention to guests at this hotel at the highest level.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the hotel, given that I had been in a similar-rated hotel that was not up to the standard this hotel acquired. Similarly, the staff at the Kerry Hotel were friendly, helpful and efficient. Also, it was the best breakfast I have had in a Chinese hotel. My fried eggs sunny side up made me very happy.

The hotel room was small since it was described as a King Deluxe bed.

Spacious room, super clean. The location is great - east 3rd ring road rarely gets super congested so we were able to go anywhere without encountering massive traffic

The bar/lounge on the first floor. My husband ordered double shot tanqueray with tonic - it was no where near double shot - a short single at best. And that drink was 25 dollars. Also the re-authorization charge takes a while to go away - as matter of fact, we have been checked out for a week now and that charge is still pending on our credit card record. Hopefully it goes away sometime...

Super comfortable, big room, toiletteries, bath robe and slippers for kids 😊 Outdoor playground, excellent sport, pool and spa facilities. Connected to a shopping mall, walking distance to underground station and plenty of stores. Our concierge Melinda really went the extra mile. Thank you! Just fyi to be prepared: children over 3 y.o. are only allowed in their relevant gender change rooms to the pool; as my 6 y.o. son had to go through on his own, the staff was really helpful

It would have been better to have a guest discount or deal for the kids park.

I liked the hotel amenities, location and services. everything was impeccable, especially the service of the Club area. Very convenient location of the hotel, which is connected to Kerry mall and also China World Mall. the selection of food at the breakfasts was good. also liked the service at the room, most amenities are of high quality and the hotel staff notice all small details and try to adjust to the customers. A big thanks to the staff at the Club, especially to Tingfei for making my stay comfortable.

The hotel’s location is great, in the center of CBD of Beijing. There 2 metro lines nearby. The hotel has a lot of facilities to offer which is nice. The room itself is kind of out dated and furnitures are relatively old. However the bed is very comfortable. We had a few good sleeps there. The bathroom is spacious with separate shower and bath. When we checked in, we were offered to pay extra for lounge drinks and finger food. It turned out to be a good plus for our stay! The food may not be the best quality but the choice is good and enough drinks and ice cream etc for the kids. So we enjoyed it! All in all, great service and very friendly staff from reception to the room service staff.

The guy at the reception was super friendly and understood English. The rooms are very clean and amenities on point.

Except for the guy, the rest of the reception staff did not understand English so it was hard to communicate but lucky my Chinese mother in law was there so she explained. The hotel is not that close to a metro station so it was not so easy to travel around with 2 kids.

Hotel was better than expected and we would love to come back to Kerry Hotel. We took the club room which meant there was a breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, and happy hour included in the price. this was excellent value for money. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, from the porters to the concierge to the staff in the restaurant. Rosalie even remembered my coffee order every morning :) room is super spacious and comfortable. Also quiet and central enough location. Overall, hotel is incredible and we loved our stay.

Decent hotel, but older building that is looking a bit worn in the corners here and there. The cleaning staff was quite loud slamming doors and talking kinda loud in the hallway, made it difficult to take a nap before noon after long flight, but the evening and night was quiet and no problem.

Fantastic hotel for visiting Beijing especially with kids as its location and facilities are top notch. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. We got the deluxe double with mini bar and it was more than enough for a couple and 6 year old. Shower and bath were amazing, view was stunning, DiDi’s know where it is and you can jump in them off street.

Only issue we had with the hotel was a couple of reception staff members didn’t make us feel welcome. There was one older lady who was brilliant and went out of her way to help us when we wanted to send postcards and go for walks but a couple of guys behaved as if we perhaps weren’t meant to be there, perhaps not rich enough or something but it was noticeable. It wasn’t a language barrier thing either as there were others who spoke no English but were courteous and tried their best to communicate with us but just a couple of guys didn’t live up to the hotels high standards.

On my booking confirmation, it says there would be a coffee maker in my room. But there wasn't. Called to check and I was told only some certain rooms have the facilities. I was offered free coffee by the restaurant. However, it would be easier if I could make my own.

The WIFI was very poor and didn't always work. Compared to a similar hotel in Shanghai, the experience was very poor. As I was working on the trip, I would expect to have a full and continuous WIFI service. This was not the case, it was not good

Room is beautiful and huge. Bed was comfortable. Hotel staff were courteous and friendly especially the housekeeping and concierge staff. Hotel is in a great location in cbd. The hotel is connected to malls, making it easier to dine and shop indoor when the weather is not so good.

Pillows were a bit too soft for me.

I liked the Kerry hotel, it has a lot to offer. Great access to the business, shopping, restaurants area, excellent Dragonfly wellness center (famous in China ), and great fitness and swimming facilities (25m swimming pool) the room and bathroom were clean and well-organized, although a bit small (bathrooms) the breakfast is great, has a selection to please many tastes the staff was very friendly Location is unbeatable, beautiful park area in a walking distance, major streets and driveways. Definitely a choice for business travellers!

Great breakfast with a rich choice of multicultural dishes. Club rooms were also served breakfast in a separate area, where a tea party and evening meal were served. A nice location in a business district near subway. Large clean rooms amaizing toilet equipment.

During our stay there was taking place some organized activity which resulted in some incovenience. Security check was arranged at the entrance which caused additional time and efford to enter the hotel. The choice of dishes for breakfast was minimized to a poor set of standard meals.

Warm welcome, speedy check in and out. Gym and pool facilities were excellent.

Bathroom a bit dated, welcome fruit and inclusive mini bar were basic. Breakfast quality was ok but could be better for 5*. Tea and coffee was fairly poor quality. I'm not convinced the hotel is good value for money.

Superb service in every department. Breakfast had an excellent selection to please all tastes and the reception staff were extremely courteous. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough and I looking forward to my next visit!
