Hotel Ibis Ambassador Myeongdong, Seoul

It's right next to the market at Myeongdong, so great for shopping and food browsing. In the immediate neighborhood are lots of coffee shops, breakfast places. The subway stop was within easy walking distance, and we commuted daily. The bed was great, and we slept really well each night.

To turn out ALL the lights in the room I had to also turn off all electricity for charging.

Location was perfect, one street away from the start of the night market but yet entrance of hotel is isolated and not exposed to the bustling business of the street. Travelled as a family of 5 and we had 8 lugagges in tow so a normal taxi can't fit us with it. The receptionist assisted to call for a Jumbo taxi and a minibus good for 11-12 pax came. It was reasonably priced too. Lotte departmental store is on the opposite street and easy access for supermarket goods and Korean atas food courts!

The pillow is too soft, literally paper thin after you lie down and everything got compressed. No early check in option available, I took a red eye flight and after all the travelling, that will definitely be helpful.

The design and room remains as per 10 years ago. Designs and fittings are getting old.

Perfect Location for Myondong. Room size is very good. Rapid response to solve problems

Our room, though small like most in Korea, was clean and quiet with a modern look and feel. The lobby, bar and breakfast area were on the 19th floor which provided nice views of the surrounding area including the Seoul Tower. The main benefit of Ibis Ambassador was to walk out of the hotel into the amazing Myeongdong neighborhood with incredible shopping and restaurants. Spend one night grazing on the upscale street food. I also recommend a night on the fried chicken street (Chir Chir Chicken was AWESOME), and lunch at the Michelin starred Myeongdong Kyoja. Metro to visit other parts of Seoul & Korea via train is a short walking distance, this is the place to stay.

Not much to not like. Some of the staff were a bit characterless, but I've come to expect that in Korea. The bathroom was pre-fabricated and small. We also had a minor problem finding the entrance to the hotel.

Unable to get our room after 2 pm check in time frame. We had just traveled over 24 hours and were exhausted. Also, our driver took us to the other Ibis Ambassador Hotel and we had to lug our suitcases 25 minutes to the other Ibis Ambassador Hotel. Very frustrating!

Easy access to myeongdong Street area, plenty of shopping. Nice stroll to cheonggyeong stream to access geobokgung palace, Gwanghwamun Square and other tourist sites. Use Uber or kakao taxi to grab a taxi to coex mall, lotte tower or lotte world. Close to seoyl train station if you want to be adventurous take ktx to other city's.

hotel very good and conveniently located. many restaurants and eateries around it and near Metro station and bus stops also the airport bus stop is just outside the hotel on the main road. Very please with the location. Also night market is just outside the hotel.

It was all fine... the staff were friendly and professional. Easy location for getting around. The room was very comfortable.

The breakfast was pretty basic each day. It could do with more variety.

the location was fantastic, it has all the shopping and was near the train station. truly a convenient hotel. it is also super easy to reach the hotel from the airport.

Excellent location, next to Myeongdong shopping and night food vendors. Easy walk to Namdaemun.

Lights didn't work as expected. Had to use converters for electrical. Room was just big enough to open up suitcases.

I stayed here for 9 night (March 30 to April 8) The location of the hotel it was perfect, very accessible, via car or through subway and bus. The food during breakfast was buffet, and It was very delicious. The staff were very welcoming and professional. The view was very beautiful, ofc it changes for every rooms

Maybe the fact that sometimes the room were very cold or very hot and maybe they should put more instruction how to use the controller. And then you should put more details and direction where is the reception.

Location: right in the myeongdong street markets, plenty of food options/restaurants to choose from, close to 2 lotte malls and subway station exits

AC appears to be centrally controlled, could not adjust temperature in the room when needed

Location is super covvenience

Good breakfast, very good location and very convenient to travel from and to the airport by bus since the the bus stop is right in front. The staffs are very nice and informative.

The weekend stay is quite expensive.

Location is good, airport bus right at door step and middle of myeong dong shopping streets.

Toilet and shower together and there is no top up of tissue paper and toilet rolls during the daily room cleaning service and need to collect at reception.
