Hotel Babette Guldsmeden, Copenhagen

First of all, a big compliment to all the staff for making us feel so welcome! We arrived without our bags (that got lost in transit) and the lady at the reception was super helpful and provided us with all basic necessities. <3 Besides that, the hotel is in a perfect location from where you can comfortably walk to all the main spots and attractions. The room was super cute and everything was eco and sustainable with wooden toothbrushes, special bed linen, bio tea bags, super comfy slippers, and many other small details. The bed was also very comfortable. I suggest you also try the in-house Skagen restaurant which offers delicious seafood and fish specialties (my recommendation: rhe creamy fish soup). This will be the place we stay again when we come back to Copenhagen!

The only thing I would mention was that the heating of the room could have been a bit better, as we were a bit cold from time to time.

I liked the decoration of the room and the staff was friendly, which to me, is always a plus. I liked that we had a little balcony as well even though the weather was not letting us use it. The location is also very nice with the lovely park right across. I also really loved the skincare/haircare products + the empty water bottle you can take with you.

A few things unfortunately. The designers probably had this great vision but everything is just that 10% off. What I mean by that is the faucet is made out of some sort of rust which makes it quite impossible to turn the lever in the bath from shower to faucet. The bed is too close to the wall. The bed itself was dented, the right side of the cabinet in the bathroom couldn't open because the wall is too close by. Like I said, it is just that last 10% from being perfect.

It is a lovely hotel in the center of the city. We enjoyed every minutes of our stay.

Great hotel at a central location, a nice walk to the main square but also to the train station where the Malmo train departs. We booked the junior suite which was reasonably priced and loved the extra space. The bathtub and sink were made of stone, there was art in the the room and in the corridors. Great selection of toiletries. Loved having a dressing gown in the room. Highly recommend the hotel!

We weren’t keen on the breakfast offer, espresso, latte, cappuccino etc are charged extra but there is drip coffee included in the price. Other than breakfast we loved it though. And there are plenty of great breakfast places within a short walking distance.

Some spots where cleaning fluid (I hope) was left in the bathroom, used tissue was left in the box, and the kettle facilities were not actually near a plug so had to be moved.

Ideally situated in the centre of Copenhagen but on a quiet street with a park opposite. You can walk through the park to get to the Little Mermaid statue. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the refreshments provided in the room were of excellent quality. Breakfast offer was varied and good and there is also a very good fish restaurant on site. Close to the metro and easy to get to from the airport.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The custom toiletries they made were by far the best I've used in a while. The rooms were incredibly cozy and it was very close to many places but far from the crowds.

Babette Guldsmeden is a super charming, cozy hotel which makes you feel like you’re visiting someone’s big, fancy, old (but in an elegant and cute way) house, and the service personal AND professional. They made my friends and I feel so welcome and really made our first impression of Copenhagen and its people the best ever.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. While my single room was indeed compact, it was incredibly cozy and perfectly arranged. It truly felt like a snug haven, and I appreciated how efficiently the space was utilized. What really set this hotel apart were the thoughtful, customized details. The bathroom was stocked with an amazing array of high-quality amenities, including a generous selection of body lotions and oils. And the bathrobe? It was my absolute favorite! All these small, luxurious touches really make you feel pampered and give the property a special charm, truly making it feel like a home away from home. The location is simply ideal. It's perfect for sightseeing as all the major attractions are within easy walking distance. On top of that, the neighborhood is fantastic, boasting a huge selection of excellent cafes, supermarkets, and shops right outside the door. For longer journeys, the metro station is conveniently just a 5-minute walk away. Highly recommend! I would definitely book again.

Very cozy. I loved the furniture, it was very old school. Huge windows you could open. I got an upgrade as well when I got there.

I liked everything. I am 193cm, and could barely fit on the toiled due to the cabinet the sink was on so be mindful if you are taller than me. (Which is not a lot of people I guess)

The location was very good. There were many cafés and shops nearby.

The sink in my bathroom had an awkward position. There was also minimal space around the sink to put toiletries.

I didn't stay here myself, I booked a room for friends as a wedding present on their wedding night. They said they had an AMAZING stay, and the efforts and friendliness of staff to make their stay special was really really appreciated. An enormous thank you to them for making our gift a really great one!! They are now talking about going back on their wedding anniversary every year!!

We were a little nervous about the Balinese/Eco focus of the hotel but actually loved the whole vibe of this hotel. Staff at the front desk were great and easy on street parking very close by. Walking distance to city centre. We didn't eat here but we know the Skagen franchise restaurants to be really good. Ours was a small room but beautifully put together and they walk the talk on their eco promise. Highly recommend.

Wonderful boutique hotel exuding unique charm, excellent staff at check in and check out, kindly stored luggage for us after check out so we could walk around the city, short walk from train station upon arrival to the city, property location is excellent for seeing sites and within easy walking distance and major sites such as Amalienborg Palace and the famed Nyhavn district and its canals. The neighborhood felt very safe at all time including the night time.

Breakfast was not included with our rate and was a significant cost to add at check in so we did not add breakfast to our stay

I'm not sure the "beach" restaurant with the sand works. Think it would be better to have a more cozy laid back bar area, but it's always good to do something a bit different I guess!

The breakfast was not worth the value. Easily the most expensive breakfast we paid for through our trip through Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The crazy thing is they charge for lattes and cappuccinos - crazy for a $65 breakfast. Very very poor value. Don’t buy it.

It was very hot at night and there was no A/C… but understand that is rare in July.

Room was clean, contained all amenities and more as directed. The hotel is located perfectly, quiet but adjacent to the Danish Design Museum, Danish Museum of Resistance, Waterfront and Amalienborg palace etc. Staff on the front desk very friendly.

Breakfast was very expensive. Lounge area was very limited. The restaurant is a fish restaurant so limited options available.

Spacious and comfortable room for a family of three - hotel decor is fresh and tasteful. Really lovely place to stay, and fab location for exploring Copenhagen.

Great location, 5-10min walk to Metro, quiet but close to central area. Good design with comfort and sustainability at the same time. Rooftop has nice view of the city and has several separated sofa areas which is a great place to take an afternoon nap. Staff is nice. Stagen restaurant in hotel worth a try, I like the seafood and sauce there a lot.
