The Merrion Hotel, Dublin

Such a luxurious traditional hotel. Every detail is well thought out. The staff are so attentive and kind. We had dinner at The Cellar Bar one evening and went back for drinks the following day. Throughly enjoyed the food and drinks we had from breakfast to dinner. We had a fabulous stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

I have stayed at the Merrion on many occasions, and always leave happy with our stay. The staff, the facilities and the general atmosphere / vibe are what make it.

I would say breakfast should be included, personally think that this should not be an "add on".

Everything about this hotel is outstanding: the service, location, breakfast, bar (additional marks on this one), room, and the size and comfort of the room.Well worth the price.

The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional as always. Wd also received a room upgrade to a suite for our wedding anniversary celebration whic he was a lovely touch.

The cellar bar lacked atmosphere I would have liked to sample afternoon tea but too expensive when staying for 2 nights Restaurant relatively was much better value

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is truly luxurious and with the most wonderfully attentive and professional staff I’ve ever encountered. The restaurants serve delicious food and have lovely atmospheres. The art collection is fabulous. The Christmas decorations and entertainment made it a truly magical experience.

Bathrooms , small shower with not the best pressure , bathrooms badly badly in need of refurb , exposed waste pipes ect , more like bathrooms you’d see in at 80’s B&B , not in keeping with the rest of the hotel

Breakfast was excellent. Beds are so comfortable.

Can be hard to get seating in the lounge rooms during the afternoon due to the amount of afternoon tea bookings. I know the staff are excellent and try to accommodate but it does put them under pressure and I feel residents should have priority.

Our experience staying at The Merrion Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable. The attention to detail was second to none. We had a beautiful room and the breakfast was delicious. When we arrived we ate in the residents bar & listened to Carol singers. We ate a beautiful dinner in the Cellar Bar in the hotel that night. Thank You to The Merrion hotel for our wonderful stay.

I believe what sets you above others is the quality of the staff. The kind caring way they treat us. On the first day after a long international flight, our credit card did not work, after 3 attempts/call and a long time, it still did not work (that night and call 4-got the job done) However, the staff was exceedlingly kind and patient and made a very embarrasing situation, much better! The doormen were always friendly and kind and the concierge gave us a GREAT dinner suggestion, that was spot on what we were looking for!

The warm welcome, the beautifully furnished room with all necessities provided and the added touch of a complimentary box of chocolates. Lovely!

I absolutely loved everything about the Fabulous Amazing Merrion Hotel. The staff are exceptional, they make it look so easy and their attention to every detail is Outstanding. Fiona, John, Raveen, Robert, Michelin and all of the Amazing staff at the Merrion we Thank You so much for making our stay so special and memorable. My sister Olga had the most fabulous wonderful Birthday in the Merrion. We loved every minute of it. We are so looking forward to returning. I highly recommend the luxurious and divine Merrion hotel, with the most Welcoming , Caring, Kind, Thoughtful, Helpful and Friendly staff ❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What is there to not like?

Everything - the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are fabulous, spacious and fabulously comfortable. Food in the hotel is first class.

We ate in the excellent Patrick Gilbauy restaurant, the food was sensational. A very small gripe was we asked for a bottle of the house white wine that we had drunk in the bar, it was a very pleasant French Sauvignon, the waiter said that wasn't available in this restaurant and offered a similar wine that was 143 euros ! We ended up with a New Zealand Sauvignon - Framingham which was a very reasonable 75 euros ! That aside everything was fabulous

A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Merrion Hotel I stayed at The Merrion for 3 days and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff are incredibly discreet, kind, and genuinely make you feel special. The level of service is outstanding. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, and the bed was hands down the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I didn’t try lunch or dinner, so I can’t comment on that, but the outdoor terrace is a lovely spot for an apéritif. The gym is quiet, very clean, and well-equipped, and the pool feels truly luxurious. Finally, the location is ideal – central, but peaceful. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a refined and relaxing stay in Dublin.

This is a truly superb hotel in the heart of Dublin providing genuine 5 star facilities, comfort and service. We could not find fault with anything and would gladly stay there again. We had one of the garden rooms which look into the charming courtyard area of the property. Very quiet and peaceful at night despite the city centre location.

The Merrion never fails to deliver, the staff, the comfort, the attention to detail, all of it. The gift of a perfumed candle for our anniversary from the management was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks for a truly great stay.

Nothing at all. It was glorious. If I could put a helpful hint though, a little bottle or carton of fresh milk in the fridge would be brilliant instead of the usual milk capsules. That would be just wonderful.
