Fabulous venue , 2 mins from Kelvingrove . Spotlessly clean , beautiful furnishings and staff that went the extra mile .Annette and Claire were superb . The Alamo suite was beautiful . I’d much rather jump in a cab for £10 and stay here than stay in the city centre . A lovely , plentiful cooked breakfast , fresh .

Beautiful property in a great location . The breakfast was made fresh and was delicious. Beds were comfortable and the staff were amazing. They were friendly and went out of their way to help. Annette was so kind and went the extra mile to help us when we had car issues. Would highly recommend.

Annette who greeted us was amazing. She went above and beyond to help us find a car service, check attractions near by, reserve dinner and offer other suggestions to make our stay in Glasgow enjoyable.

Wish our room had been above street level so we could look out at the activity of the city. Also it was a bit tricky with only one key that operates all the electricity. If one person wanted to go out, the other would be, literally in the dark.

Everything is just perfect! The walk-in shower is my favourite.

My bathroom is actually next to the kitchen and sound insulation should be improved.

The staff is friendly, Breakfast is delicious, and check-out is easy. I changed to another room on the ground floor after the first day's stay. Surprisingly, there is no such 'bad air' experience like somewhere else. Everything is beyond my expectations!

I totally understand the payment policy(that the total amount needs to be paid when making the booking), as there are limited rooms there. But perhaps the option to pay when it arrives or some other more flexible payment options can be offered in the future? You can charge those who fail to come as part of the policy.

Lovely spot in Glasgow right next to a park. Very quiet and peaceful but lots of places to eat just down the street. We had issues getting to the hotel with streets closed for a bike race but the staff were extremely helpful in making sure we found a way there. Very supportive. The room was large and very comfortable and breakfast was great too.

The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. The room was lovely with a very large comfy bed. Breakfast was also very good 👍 would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We were visiting a granddaughter at Uni of G. We had a great time. Our room at Alamo was the ideal location.

The facilities and staff were amazing. Our room was exceptional and we were treated to a bottle of prosecco as it was our honeymoon! The location of the hotel was also great.

There isn't much to criticise. However, the parking charges are very steep. £70 to park overnight for two nights is a lot of money, especially considering the amount we paid for the stay at the hotel.

Warm welcome, fantastic room, comfy bed and great breakfast freshly made. Perfect location to armadillo/ OVO just a 10min walk away. Superb selection of restaurants just round the corner to meet everyone’s taste and budget from kebabs to Michelin star

The hotel is on a quiet road very near Kelvingrove park / gallery / museum. It's opposite some public tennis courts and has a pleasant interior with what appears to be many original period features. There are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was as described and was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was small but clean and modern - very good shower. Excellent breakfast selection, cooked to order. The #77 bus takes you directly to Buchanan Street Bus Station. USB A charging points built into the bedroom power sockets.

Nothing. Suggestion - it would be good to replace the bathroom wall mirror as the standing mirror takes up valuable shelf space.

The shower and bath were excellent, the place had a beautiful aesthetic and was decorated very well, and the staff were very friendly. Most hotels these days are too modern looking and lack character but this guest house is absolutely stunning and I'm happy that it's original elegant appearance was kept intact.

Loved our stay and the hotel upgraded our room which was amazing. We loved it and felt so relaxed and looked after by Lee who was most helpful. He went above and beyond and we will for sure be coming back..

We have visited Glasgow for years and always stay in a hotel but wanted something different this time.We read the reviews for the Alamo and booked immediately.From the friendly welcome on arrival to the little thoughtful extras in the room, there really wasn’t much not to like!The fluffy towels, robes and room facilities were outstanding. We were very impressed with the security of the guest house.Breakfast was fresh to order and the fruit salad was so fresh (not out of a can or frozen).

The only niggle we might have if pushed, would be to make the continental self service to avoid waste
