The Ned Hotel, London

Location was perfect for getting to my restaurant booking but I also wish I’d had a longer stay to try the hotel restaurant and bar as it was buzzing and had live entertainment. The staff were wonderful and welcoming.

There was nothing to dislike.

Location, staff and bedrooms were all excellent and as expected at The Ned.

The Ned Feast simply does not cater well enough for allergen sufferers including Gluten Free. Their Feast offering is plentiful but with insufficient attention provided to GF guests. The price per person for non-allergen sufferers is fine, the price per person for allergen sufferers is simply too high until they introduce an allergy considerate menu.

The interior design is truly beautiful, with a distinctive 1920s style that gives the entire place a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. One of the highlights was the lively ambiance in the evenings, as the lobby regularly featured live music and events, which made returning to the hotel feel special every night.

There were, however, a few aspects that could be improved. Unfortunately, the windows in our room could not be opened.

In addition, the service felt somewhat inconsistent: doors were not typically held open, assistance with luggage was only provided upon request, and it was uncommon to be greeted first by the staff.

Accessibility, all you needed was there in room and in hotel.

That you couldn’t use gym facilities until checking in. I wanted to use earlier in day prior checking in. No option to pay extra for this. I would also prefer the gym pass being included in the price. Rather then a higher price for room. This due to how a customer is left feeling. Could not connect the tv to phone via chrome cast. Apple TV would be a great option for rooms.

The room was beautiful and I really appreciated all the little touches like having a steamer, hair straightener, charger and adaptor all included. The staff were all so friendly and attentive and I’m already looking forward to booking another stay.

Very comfortable room and the shower was amazing.
Thought of everything you could possibly need.

No real lounge area for use of residents, the public areas are always packed and you can’t find anywhere to sit and relax other than your room.

Beautiful room, smooth check-in. Shower pressure is incredible and the Cowshed products are all gorgeous. Love all of the little extras that make things more comfortable - hair iron, tampons, loofah etc.

A bit of a rabbit warren and we could find our way downstairs via stairs close to our room but access was blocked back up so had to keep taking different routes! More signage about lifts and access points would be really helpful. Also, the ficed pricing on breakfast (which is 'included') was all a bit confusing and felt a bit tacky for an establishment of this nature, just include breakfast and allow people to choose what they want without worrying about an overage, it's not going to hurt the Ned's pocket if a room orders an extra pastry basket.

The room was elegantly opulent , wonderfully decorated , quiet and comfortable. The bathroom with all its various balms was like a private sauna. The food , music , cabaret and vault made this a joyful time.

Rooms could do with a bit of TLC

I love the rooms, always first class and excellent quality.

Nothing really, some staff members ( the doorman in particular were excellent) Some not so good. When I ordered a drink in the lobby/ bar area the service was poor and had attitude, which I don’t appreciate and especially in a hotel of this quality and price band.

The room was exceptional, it was kitted out with plenty of small appreciated touches.

Lutyens Grill is a dinner reservation I would make again as the streaks were some of the best we’ve had in a long time.

The bed was so pleasant to sleep on , we didn’t want to get out of it.

The vault is an interesting bar to pass through but not worth the additional fee to sit and drink at in my opinion.

Amazing location right in the city centre close to Borough Market, London Bridge, Shard, Barbican etc

Almost nothing not to like, but excellence comes at a pretty price. Will definitely return for special occasions.
