We stayed at Guesthouse fürDich on our last night in Switzerland before flying out of Zurich early in the morning. I wish we would have stayed longer! It was such a beautiful and charming hotel! The shared bathrooms were not a problem - I didn't hear or see anyone else during our stay. We opted to get a hotel with a balcony which was the move. A thunderstorm rolled in and we sat outside and watched the lightning before the rain came down. The owner spoke English and check-in was super easy. He also helped recommend some places to go! Overall great stay and would highly recommend!

We loved our room so much at Guesthouse fürDich. The only thing that was bothersome was the creaky floors. They woke up my partner in the middle of the night when I tried to sneak to the bathroom. It wasn't a big deal, however.

Location was good. Restaurants near by. Proximity to downtown.

Very spacious, everything clean, bathroom was clean, comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

The unit does not have AC which it's not really necessary because temperature is nice at night, but I do recommend maybe leave two fans since there are two beds. Other than that everything was perfect.

Loved the vibe in the cafe, good breakfast and the beds were comfy and family room on top floor was large and clean.

Beware the low beams on top floor, including in the loo - couple of serious head cracks, they need to be highlighted a different colour for safety. No air con... a good fan for one of the beds but not both.

Fabulous place to stay. Very easy to get to from the airport by public transport. Very friendly welcome. Family of four stayed in the room together with shared bathroom (shared with one other room but never encountered them).

You can‘t have a drink after 20 /21 hours because they close the cafe a bit early. No airconditioning in the rooms.

We were in a family suite on the second floor and it was gorgeous! Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also clean and well cared for. The location is about a 30 minute walk from the main sights but there are some cute areas to eat and drink right around the hotel. We stayed twice here and the second time we were on the first floor family suite and is not as nice as the second floor.

Of course it’s not convenient to have to share the bathroom, especially if you have a flight to catch and are waiting for someone to finish! But we accepted this as Zürich is so incredibly expensive and this was more affordable. Also, there’s some sketchy people that hang out in the park across the street and play loud techno music into the night. We stayed twice at this hotel and both times this was going on.

This place is quirky. It’s above a corner cafe. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and the food was good. The beds were comfy and the room was nice and spacious for our family of four.

The shared bathroom situation was a little weird. The bathroom was clean but it was just strange having to share with hallway neighbors. We felt like we had to rush through our bathroom routines! We had a room that opened right onto the street. It was warm, so we had to have the windows and balcony doors open. The street noise was so loud. The Euros were happening during our stay and some fans decided to drive around and honk their horns all hours of the night making it difficult to sleep. It’s a very minimalist property, so it was fine for one night. The woman that checked us in was not very friendly. Being new to the country after a long day’s travel, I wish we had been greeted by a more friendly face. The woman working the cafe the next morning was much friendlier.

I like the location and that the shared bathroom is super clean! The Staffs were amazing and friendly. I love their restaurant/cafe downstairs. They have amazing food; salad and coffee! You can just walk around and you'll at the center of Zurich. You can also find a lot of diverse restaurants nearby plus the nightlife area is also just few blocks away.

Well since it's an old building , you hear if someone walks and the walls seems not so isolated.

Great breakfast. The cafe at the ground floor is really nice, and a good place to hang out. The location is quite good with a lot of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There is also a nice park just outside the guesthouse. The staff is nice and willing to help, and the room is spacy and clean with a cute balcony.

The is no air conditioning in the room, and in summer it could get hot. There is no fridge. Though the location is good in terms of what can be found out side the guest-house, most of the point of interest in Zurich, are found near the old town, which is about 20 minutes walk, or a few minutes by public transportations.

The size and decor of the room. The divided nature of the set up is great so you actually have limited sharing of facilities. The staff were excellent. The park across the street is gorgeous and we had a lovely meal not far from the guesthouse. We would definitely stay again.

The layout of the rooms is a little off given that these are appartements divided in rooms. I think my bathroom was once the kitchen :-)

I very much liked the cleanliness and comfort of my room. I also appreciated the fact that they changed my sheets every day. (Since there is no AC, people may swear badly.) The city center is only 12-15 min walk from the hotel and it’s in a very safe neighborhood!

Please start offering FREE BREAKFAST! Also, there should be a separate front desk person rather than having the restaurant servers to take care of the guests. (Although they do an awesome job, I still think there is a need for an official front desk staff.) And finally, please consider getting the shared bathrooms cleaned twice a day. (Toward the evening, they may no longer in a quite good shape.)

The room was in a funky old building above a cafe, which was fun. It was convenient to public transportation and local shopping (groceries, etc.). The room was clean and beds were comfy. The bathroom was remodeled and fairly large. Not a lot of amenities or towels, however.

Unfortunately, we felt very uncomfortable during our stay in the room. Although the bathroom had large, sunny windows, they were incompletely frosted and overlooked a small inner courtyard surrounded by multi-level apt. buildings. There were no shades or curtains on the windows and the frosted parts afforded little privacy. I could look out the glass shower and into the apts. across the courtyard, and assume the inhabitants could do the same. In fact, we observed an opposite neighbor as he watched us in the bathroom one evening, so we ended up hanging towels over the exposed window. Not sure if this was a 'funky' bathroom design of the remodel but it was disappointing.

The location was great. Very easy to take bus to the train station in 15 minutes. The bed were very comfortable and the room accommodates were nice. The balcony was fabulous and afforded a very nice few. It was a wonderful bonus to have a nice city park across the street. Sharing a bathroom with three other units was never a problem.

The food was really good!! No complaints at all about that! The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean.

The bed we slept in felt as though the feet were higher than the head. It was almost as though the room was slightly slanted. But the sheets were clean. There was also a something sticky on the floor by the French doors and it was bringing ants into the room. The cleaner that was taking care of the bathroom seemed to clean it a little but it was still sticky so we had to avoid that area. Also, an alarm started going off in the middle of the night that kept us awake for a little bit. Thankfully someone was able to get it turned off.

it was a shared bathroom. we booked a private room for a griup of four yet the bathroom was outside the room in the hallway to be shared with two other rooms.

Location was excellent and the room was very comfortable. it was great to have a balcony and it was very quiet.

It wold have been great to have a kettle in the room to make a hot drink

Good distance to Zurich HB. Comfortable bed. Lovely cafe on the ground floor. Food is good. They have a range of table games.

We loved everything about FurDich! The staff were very friendly, it has a relaxed cool about it, excellent vegetarian food and only 15 minutes walk from the train station. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending it to friends.

Was a nice hotel, very comfy bed, very good location with good transport everywhere. Or easy to walk. Was near a quieter railway station than Zurich HB which was great as Zurich HB is huge and very busy. Good Products in bathroom and room was warm.

Very cosy, large family room, with a nice cafe on the ground floor. Though shared bathroom, it is always very clean. The cafe is very family friendly, surprisingly nice atmosphere also for those who come with small children. Food is delicious, wide variety of drinks.

Could have offer discount for breakfast for those who stay there in the guest house.

The property was good value for money was very secure and private and comfortable. It was nicely furnished and had excellent bathroom facilities.
