Loved the decor it was something a bit different.

The towels provided were tiny, what I would call almost hand towel size. For the price and paying for a deluxe room I would have liked an actual bath towel.

Fantastic rooms, staff super helpful, great location and the rooftop bar and restaurant are all great. And to top it off was good value for money. Highly recommend for a stay in Vienna.

the hotel front desk staff was extremely helpful, understanding with requests given my special circumstances. great at problem solving. the view from window is very austrian. location is perfect - walkable to lots of fun places and convenience stores, famous gelato and bakery, multiple subway (u-bahn) entrance right at hotel doors. popular even at night. queit, blackout curtain. great shower pressure. have a decent restaurant and bakery at the hotel. dry clean service. great lighting in room. room overall looks tidy, aesthetic pleasing, and comfortable -- would have been perfect if not the fabric and silverfish issue (see below).

the fabric on the wall and bed frame makes the room prone to sliverfish.. which I ran into a couple times at toilet at night. it is harmless but still makes me less relaxed at room. the fabric looks hard to clean which raises cleaniess concern. the staff at the hotel restaurant and bakery can sometimes be a little cold. the dish quality at the hotel restaurant is not very consistent, sometimes impressive, sometimes weird - even got a fly onto my soup once. the tv screen was on at check in, even if you don't turn it on - then gives an unexpected bright light through the closet at night -- was scared and annoyed - but once i turned it off its fine. no in-room service, need to go to restaurant.

Stunning hotel in the perfect location. The room was gorgeous, the shower was the best ever! Had a fabulous nights sleep and the food was exceptional! Would definitely visit again.

Everything was just great

Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, especially Johanna. Our room was fantastic, the size and comfort more than matched the price. The whole hotel is beautifully designed.

The cleaning was not made every day, I saw the dust accumulating on the night table during the 5 days and I’m allergic to dust …

Rooms are a bit small, but still ok.

Incredibly stylish without sacrificing comfort. I will dream of that shower for a long time. The location was excellent, a simple 15 minute walk from the Ringstraße, and on a lovely walking street with great shops and restaurants (and right above a metro stop!). Rooftop bar was lovely as well and make sure you try the Rosita cocktail at Chez Bernard!

Lovely hotel. Room was beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for us. It's above a metro stop, so all parts of the city are easily accessible.

The hotel was beautiful! The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. We were greeted by a member of staff with welcome drinks. I believe her name was Johanna and I would like to thank her for her outstanding restaurant recommendations, my mum and I had such a lovely visit!

I love everything about this hotel. Chic and stylish. Great receptionists who are efficient and responsive. The restaurant on the 7th floor offers excellent choices of breakfast and dinner. Love the terrace view on the 8th floor. The guest room I booked is really nice.

Our stay at Hotel Motto was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful from the very beginning until the check-out. Possibility to contact the reception via WhatsApp was so handy and we received the response immediately. Our room was very comfortable, well equipped and clean, and we appreciated the AC during an extremely hot week.

Better to have breakfast included and buffet stile. But the restaurant's foods were very good quality.

Rooms were great, breakfast was amazing,

but... there was no desk and chair. I know you're not a "business" hotel, but I could really have used one.

We loved everything about the property. The location was great, with a subway stop right outside the door. Great coffee shop across the street. Clean and luxury finishes. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was fantastic. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar!

Very cute and comfortable rooms, with a lovely design. Beds very comfortable and great shower. Coffee and tea facilities as well as mini bar in room are great. Restaurant and bakery are great as well and very central location in a lively neighbourhood. Subway station is literally next door.

Friendly, helpful staff; we received an upgrade, and the room was spacious, beautifully unique, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.

Great place with so much character and cool vibe

All great (pillow and mattress slightly uncomfortable) but nothing serious

The room was cozy and clean, with an excellent view. The bed was really comfortable, and we weren’t disturbed by any noise during the night — which we really appreciated. The location is great, with all kinds of public transport nearby and plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel.

The rooftop bar has no service! You have to go downstairs, wait in a long line at the actual bar, grab your drink, and then carry it all the way back up to the rooftop. Way too much effort — not worth it. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was disappointing: bland, small portions, overpriced. The room was beautifully decorated and felt really cozy, but if you sit down on the sofa and lean back, you can easily hit your head on the bottom of the TV. Please make the decor safer for guests!

Cleaning every day was not up to expected standard of hotel

This was a beautiful hotel - the staff were really friendly, and it was right in the heart of the city. The room was really beautiful and romantic in how it was set up, with French doors to a Juliet balcony to the street. The restaurant upstairs Chez Bernard was absolutely delicious, with lovely staff. Would highly recommend this place to stay!

The staff was very attentive and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The food at the hotel cafe bakery was wonderful. We liked the location and would stay there again.

There was not a sink located in the WC. We had to walk to where the shower was located. Rooftop restaurant was beautifully decorated, however the service was bad and food subpar. We were charged for the use of the napkins and silverware and bread sitting on the table.

This accomodation was exceptional - surprisingly quiet given its location - a subway entrance is next to the hotel giving very easy access to the main areas - the shopping district adjacent is excellent with supermarkets and retail shops in Marianhilfer just outside - there is an excellent bakery on the ground nfloor and a very good restaurant and roof terrace on top - even though our room had a bathroom vanity off the bed area it all worked quite well

What can I say. It was perfect in every way. I had never been to Vienna. I wanted to visit this city and home to my favorite composers and city close to the alps. When I began my search for places to stay I came across a blog about the top 10 boutique hotels in Vienna. Hotel Motto was the one that most felt my style and sparked my interest. However it was not available at the time I was looking to book. We found a secondary option. Weeks later my husband looked at the cost of our first booking and was questioning the high cost. So with Booking.com I was able to rebook and I did. I was so excited to find out that hotel Motto had my room I wanted available. Shocked and surprised I booked immediately after canceling my first booking. I had found my dream hotel and room I wanted. Not only was our room very comfortable and situated in the best neighborhood we could have asked for. Immediately I realized that the staff was exceptional. Never ever had I been to Vienna and not knowing the city and where to go the staff was so extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange at our request transfer from airport, our own private tour guide for a few hours, Mozart concert, restaurants to select and train arrangements to the beautiful city of Hallstatt. I loved our welcome and stay from beginning to end. Thank you hotel staff and Hotel Motto in beautiful Vienna. We will always remember our great stay with you!
