Grand Ferdinand Hotel, Vienna

Well located. Excellent value and comfort.

The location of the hotel is great! Personal is very kind and helpful, rooms are comfortable and clean. There are two restaurant in the hotel, but you have to make the reservation, nonetheless. We were in one on the last floor called Limon and despite the prices, the food was very tasty, so apsolutely worth it!

A perfect stay, beyond expectations. An excellent international breakfast, served on a beautiful terrace on the eighth floor, which makes waking up even more pleasant. However, the real added value is the kindness and professionalism of Lisa and all breakfast staff, who are always available and ready to satisfy every request: a welcome that is rarely found. Original rooms with attention to details. Highly recommended.

I would clearly separate the entrance to the hotel and the restaurant on the ground floor, as the restaurant does not offer the same level of hospitality and quality as the hotel. I will definitely return to the Grand Ferdinand, but I will not return to the restaurant on the ground floor.

Breakfast on rooftop was very nice, good selections. Rooms were modern, clean and cozy. Perfect location.

We had a problem with parking. We paid in the hotel, but then in the garage it wanted us to pay again. Luckily the staff in garage was very helpful and trusted us. I am mentioning it here as the mistr at the reception seemed confused by steps he needs to take and which card to give us.

Great location close to tram stop and walkable to a lot of landmarks. Room compact but comfortable and clean.

No quiet spaces to sit. Downstairs is given over to restaurants and upstairs bar is small and noisy next to another restaurant. Would have liked a kettle to provide hot water for tea drinkers, coffee maker only which doesn’t provide hot enough water for tea.

Great hotel in the perfect location to walk to all the major Vienna attraction areas! View from rooftop breakfast was amazing! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely room and great location in central Vienna.

Amazing location on the ring Strasse making it easy to walk around and also to access the u-bahn and trams. The hotel was lovely with a beautiful lobby and welcoming staff. The room was a good size, well designed with the best shower we have encountered so far on our European trip. The bed was very comfortable, everything was perfect. There's a nice pool on the roof, we didn't use it as it was snowing.

The room was too small and there was no where to unpack your clothes.

All the staff we came into contact with at the hotel were very friendly, welcoming and professional. They went out of their way to look after us, particularly a Greek waiter at breakfast whose name unfortunately we don’t know. The quality of variety of the food was very good. The outside of the hotel was very attractive having been decorated for Christmas. We found the location excellent in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We didn’t prefer the open bathroom. And we didn’t like the smell of popcorn coming into the reception area.

Resturant management. An alliance with locals rather than hotel guests. One single request from myself was dismissed which was very disappointing give watching locals being accomodated readily. Limon bar tender was amazing on roof top bar/restaurant.

The hotel’s location is superb. The room was clean & comfortable & staff were very professional.The rooftop bar was a real bonus & is very atmospheric.

If you pay over £200 a night for a hotel room it would be nice to include breakfast.

Room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice.

The reception staff were rude. Standing and gossiping in the little office to the left of the reception and ignoring us stood at reception. While one of their colleagues was busy sorting a problem on the phone.

we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately we had to find breakfast elsewhere because it was too expensive in their restaurant. Otherwise a very good place for a 3 night stay.

cosy room, big enough with a nice solution for the bathroom. everything was neat and tidy and especially the breakfast was great in term of available choices and quality, the central location and the short ways from and to public transport is a big plus. also the neighborhood is really nice and encouraged to walk around and explore.

The rooftop restaurant with views of Vienna was were we had breakfast every morning was fabulous and there is also a swimming pool. The food was amazing. The restaurant downstairs was excellent with THE BEST schnitzels. The location was excellent.

The bathroom was open plan in the room and the towels could have been better but overall a wonderful stay in Vienna.
