Grand Ferdinand Hotel, Vienna

The location was perfect for our purposes of visiting Vienna. Great restaurants in the area, and not too far to the sites that we wanted to see

Everything saw great : location / view from the breakfast / pool space / room / people working there

This hotel is one of our favorites. It is in a good location, excellent breakfast, rooftop restaurant and bar are excellent.

We have a very bad experience with the restaurant Meissl & Schadn, which is part of the hotel. We have never experienced such arrogant and unpleasant service. We will never step foot in this restaurant again. Fortunately, there are a number of quality restaurants with excellent cuisine near the hotel, where they treat you politely and pleasantly.

We would like to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was superb. I left my perfume to the room, and was able to retrieve it back. It was sent by post to my home address. Excellent service.

There was no Nespresso machine nor hot water kettle in the room, which was very surprising

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, can dine inside or out when the weather is warm.

Central location .. great breakfast .. staff and in particular the concierge very helpful

Wifi throughout the hotel and particularly in bedroom was very poor

Friendly, helpful staff. Close to the majority of the main sights to visit. Beautiful restaurants in house for dining.

Bathroom small and shower near the beds. Did take getting used to at first.

Bedroom, location and views from the 8th floor

The lemon restaurant on the 8th floor had poor service. There is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We asked for a kettle but we had to go and get cups, milk and tea bags

Nice location, clean

Shower cubicle right next to bed which was a little clunky to manage. Swimming pool more like a jacuzzi. Otherwise a lovely central hotel!

Lifts slow We were a large group and it was a busy weekend so access to restaurant/bar limited Breakfast expensive

It has many little details that add to the value. Also the location is excellent.

The location was ideal you could walk everywhere, room and hotel where clean. The Bar upstairs had a lovely view.

The shower was next to the bed which was different.

The location is great. The staff is really kind and attentive. The bar on the rooftop, the pool and the views are nice.

The hotel is nice but have some elements of deco which make it tacky. And it’s a shame because some changes would make a big difference. The cleaner left one of the wet cleaning clothes on top of my leather backpack :/

Did not eat breakfast at hotel.

The room configuration is awkward. There should definitely be better bathroom facilities. Eg sink in toilet area or just separate bathroom altogether with ventilation fan Open plan bathroom just doesn't work especially for women. Also steam from shower in room creates dampness.

The place overall is nice and in nice area. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was cool and the view is great to enjoy. The room for me was not comfortable even though I chose comfort room. There was no coffee, no tea, no chair to sit on, no desk to work if needed, thus not comfortable for a business trip, only sleeping and taking shower. Also, every time I actually tried to work and put a 'do not disturb' sign out on the door, someone kept knocking a few times with the room services.

- not comfortable room for business trips - swimming pool not heated and thus cold - for me it was a bummer as I booked the hotel only based on location & swimming pool filter

Could not open the window fully , breakfast good quality but not fantastic choice , had to pay for drink in minibar , why can’t they offer the soft drinks or any of the drinks in the fridge ???

Fantastic location, really central. Very boutique hotel vibe. Close to amenities.

Room was slightly on the small side, and shower integrated next to the bed rather than in a separate bathroom.

Beautiful rooms maybe slightly expensive but good amenities shame breakfast not included in room rate. Staff were ok if a little bit stuck up

Breakfast is a rip-off

Nice hotel, big room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff and lots of candy everywhere which was super nice. The location is a bit noisy on weekends because you are in a very touristic area but is not really bad

Great location and the breakfast on the roof was well catered!

For me, the room was too overheated and couldn’t get the temperature down enough on the thermostat.
