LaGare Hotel Murano, Venice

Top breakfast. Staff very friendly and efficient. Receptionists top!!

1.The duplex room was excellent for us as a family of 4. 2. A waterbus station was right at the gate of the hotel 3. It was my wife's b'day when we checked in and the hotel staff was kind enough to recognise it and courteous more than enough to send in a bottle of wine at the room.

1. We expected complimentary still water in the room all the time and it was available on for the first night 2. The breakfast had a limited spread and may not be up to the reputation of Hyatt. 3. The geographical location of the hotel at Murano is far from the train station. One has to change the station and then go. With heavy luggage, it adds inconvenience. Like complimentary pick up from the airport, the hotel did not have a pick up from the train station. 4. The hotel did not have a pool.

It was pricey, but without realizing it we planned a trip to Venice during the Biennale. So, I guess it was to be expected.

Almost everything was fine

One stuff was unpleasant, made me feel offended.

Brilliant restaurant at reasonable price for Venice. Transfer to and from airport included. Transport to Venice available right outside the hotel.

The view was not great but this was expected as court yard views are at an additional cost.

Location is great, the hotel is located on Murano island, next to all famous glass factories but still in quite, relaxing and clean quarter. ‘Navetta’ - small luxury cosy boat which was waiting for us at Marco Polo airport made us feel a lovely welcome, and it was a nice complimentary feature to our stay. The same ‘navetta’ transfered us from the hotel to the airport on the way back. The only minus point was cleanliness in the room, facilities are great and new but the room could be much cleaner. Room had gorgeous discrete tapestry on the wall and furniture is very well styled. From Murano island there is Vaporetto with convinient and regular schedule. The Vaporetto is not cheap (8€ one way) but comparing the price of this hotel with what would we get on the Venice island it would not be the same level of accommodation. Definitely would recommend this hotel!

we were given a room which the magnetic key was not working. They offered us a metal key instead. When we asked for another room during check in, we were told that the hotel was fully booked. However there were many rooms available on booking.com Did not expect this behavior from Hyatt

Beautiful place (design, layout of rooms, quality of materials). The hygiene materials used are high-quality shampoo, lotion and soap. Good location, responsive staff - both at the reception, restaurant and bar.

The room could have been cleaner and there is no view from the window (yes, history is offered, understandably).

loved the location, very opulent. The private water shuttle was magical felt like a celeb. I would also like to thank Francesca for her support and making me feel so special. In my room was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to mark my birthday. definitely returning at some point and hope the care, standards remain the same.

the WiFi was non-existent in my room and had to resort to using my data package. Also on Thursday morning, cleaning staff entered my room un-announced. lastly no iron in room, however once requested, one was provided along with a robe.

Great location is lovely, small and quiet island where you're away from all crowd and just 15min away from Venice. There is a lot of daily ferry, so transportation is not an issue

The hotel is nice and clean, staff are polite and helpful. It would have been nice if the hotel had more leisure facilities like a swimming pool or even bathtub

Hotel is in very good condition. Very clean and tidy. Service is good. Just in front of the water bus station. Room is spacious too. The lobby is beautiful.

Location is a bit far. Very hard to get back to the hotel at night if too late as the water bus service is only limited after certain time. The island has little to do so you need to go to other place using water bus but it is very slow.

Convenient water taxi shuttle is available.

Tried to order food at the bar and was told the kitchen was "closed" yet shortly after, a family or four was seated and was served. Not surprised as this happens often as a solo traveler.

Gym was super small and not equipped to fit more than 1. Breakfast was expensive 25 euros pp vs the buffet choice (esp if not bought within the room package)

The beds and pillows were perfect for my liking. The hotel itself has a beautiful interior which I thoroughly enjoyed viewing (and taking photos) in!

Not very much was bad at all, if I really had to find something it would be the location, but even that's quite okay.

The location near the water bus station was excellent. it's location on the island was very convenient for shopping.

The buffet was very large in selections, but the American options were not well made. it was very loud at night due to the parties and convention guests.

Check in was extremely smooth, and the receptionist was helpful and friendly. We were offered the service of the free shuttle back to Marco Polo airport, which was a lovely surprise as we had planned to use the Alilaguna service - but this was much more comfortable and a little luxurious!! Our room was lovely - we were upgraded to a suite which had a split level room with a bedroom above and sitting room and bathroom below. The hotel has been built within an existing building, which is great, as it doesn't disturb the beauty of Murano on the exterior - there is a compromise to be had though - and this does mean restricted views out of the the windows - its still possible to see the canal though, and plenty light gets into the room. Overall - a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

The air con wasn’t available as apparently isn’t on till May which isn’t very helpful for ladies of a certain age who suffer with hot flushes and not enough fans to go round. I always book with hotels that specifically have air con . Hotel needs to make this clear and on booking . com

The location of the hotel is right in front of the water taxi station and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, with a handy vaporetto stop just outside the front door. Shuttle to and from the airport a great plus. Friendly staff.

Hotel website is needlessly complicated when it comes to food. Took the help of three different staff members to decipher opening hours of different restaurants and room service.

The location was nice and quiet compared to Venice, being end January. Just in front of the hotel there is the public traghetto that was very convenient and frequent. We bought a 3 day pass at €45 each so as to travel around easily. A half day visit to Burano is also recommended.

On Saturday night there was a birthday celebration event in the restaurant and up to midnight there was still a lot of noise especially when they came out to smoke. The double insulated windows didn't stop this at all. Very annoying for whoever wanted an early night.

the staff are too friendly and helpful, the explain everything around in quick not annoying way. they was very helpful in explaining the way to the hotel even before check-in and that saved me a lot of time specially its my first time in Venice and its not that easy.

a UK style electric plug would be great addition, and to have a one full mattress for the king bed instead of 2 attached mattresses.

Murano is very quiet at night

Most of the staff are wonderful; very courteous. The location on Murano, next to the vaporetto-stop is fantastic. The property itself is beautiful and the breakfast is complete. However, the best thing is the airport shuttle-boat. It’s an experience!

The only thing I liked less was the view of a wall from my room.

I really liked the location, as it was close to town by public transport and easy to get to. Deco was very nice, it was clean and comfortable

Room was smaller than I thought but upgraded to larger bed ..., couldn't use the coffee machine, only two milk left to make drinks with the kettle..not enough sachets... our room courtyard view , the view is roof of the restaurant really... fire alarm went off Saturday at 1am and no clear escape route to get out of the building and no apologies sent or complimentary extra lie in for the late night disruption offered .. very bad fire evacuation scenario.

I don't know? Maybe clean the backside of the building. Bird droppings and feathers everywhere between the bricks and the windows... (not really disturbing).

Location, overall environment, staff (in general) and ease of access.

The room was freezing and when I asked the reception what could we do, they suggested to turn on the heating - which we had already done. The next day at reception, the lady said the rooms on that side of the hotel were always cold because they did not get sunlight. I commented that it was nice to know now, especially since we have a 2-year-old sleeping with us. Very little sensitivity and even less sympathy.

Lobby bar tenders service was extraordinary. So cheerful and friendly .

The cafe latte at lobby restaurant was so could, however we asked for change the coffee, for second time the cafe latte was so hot which I could not be able to touch even the cup. So just I would like to know what should be a good cafe latte temperature at a high class restaurant?

A bit out of the way. There are limited places to eat after 18:00 on Murano. only one or two places apart from the hotel.

The shuttle boat to the airport was a great help. Most of the staff are super friendly.

- Rooms were not heated and it was fairly cold. - Breakfast the bread as not baked proper. - Room was facing a workshop and every morning between 7 and 8 there was work carried out waking us up before our alarm. - when asking on where to go in Murano we were send straight to a tourist trap. After review it later online we learned that this seem to be common in Venice. Did not expect that from a large chain.(nerver had that problem in Pullman or Hilton).

Breakfast-exceptional. Room service excellent. One of the main reason I picked this hotel is the complimentary water taxi to the airport. They had it available but not until 9am. Many of us with late morning flight, had to take a water bus. We barely got on the bus since our stop was the last stop before the airport. Not a good situation at all!

Ground floor toilets were clean but not maintained with tissues/towels. Lack of vegan food options.

Loved sitting in the courtyard with drink service. Lovely location just a short distance from the bustle of Venice, but quiet and still interesting with the Murano sites.
