Arriving in a water taxi to the hotel lobby is a highlight of my life!

The staff were superb and very nice to deal with. The decor was lovely, rooms spacious, beds very comfortable and big. 4th floor rooftop restaurant excellent. Beautiful spa and great gym.

Would have liked two sinks in the bathroom rather than one but one was ok! Shower was good but nothing special. Would have liked one more alternative restaurant in the hotel which was middle range price and varied menu. Location is a very personal thing here - if you want to be in the middle of Venice this is a 15/20 boat ride away. But we enjoyed the boat to and from the hotel which is on its own island.

Loved the island location with regular shuttles to St Mark’s Square. We had a lovely garden room with terrace. Breakfast was fabulous. Favourite spot was the rooftop pool with views of Venice.

All the staff were so nice and very helpful.

The location is perfect.It gives you the opportunity to relax after a day spent in central Venice. The hotel is great for a retreat. Really calm and peaceful!

It was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend if you’ve already been to Venice and stayed main part and you want to stay away from all that crowds and wants to chill! We did choose to stay because of it and it basically made us love Venice more! The hotel is in separate island only about 10-15 minutes by water taxi which we love and special things about Venice. ( or their complimentary boat ride) Once you arrive in style :) entertaining beautiful entrance of the hotel, you will feel suddenly so peaceful and feels like you’re world away from everything! Hotel has such beautiful grounds! Our room was absolutely stunning it was suites with huge private pool and deck we didn’t even bother their famous rooftop pool! Well we went to see and it’s beautiful but we loved our suite so much. One last and the most important thing was that we have two small dog with us and it was the most welcoming feeling that every staff & guests gave us we were so happy about that. Yes they charge a lot extra for dogs which I was shocked but at the end it was worth it because they had a great time!

Extra dog charge was incredibly high, £120 per dog. They kindly offer 2 for one this time but it’s still more than we’ve ever paid and we travel with our dog a lot and stayed many luxury hotels with them. I ask them to mention it on the website so people can prepare. But like I said above they were very dog friendly!

I could stay one week only in the hotel. Amazing place, quiet, very comfortable rooms, the breakfast it was unbelievable! The best ever! We can ride bikes around the hotel, go to the great SPA, have very good meals. The transportation from the hotel to Venice was very organized, the boats were excellent. So I loved everything is this place. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. Beyond great!!

I loved everything!

The hotel is really lovely. My husband and I spent just one night but it felt like we had been lodged for 3 nights. We loved it. Breakfast was really good with so much variety and fresh produce. We loved the grounds of the hotel. It is large with a variety of outdoor activities. The hotel is much nicer in reality than the photos. I am already planning my return this time around with more family and friends.

The property and staff are amazing. The staff can not do enough. The Breakfast was amazing and you could not ask for anything else. All the other facilities like pool areas etc are amazing and I could not get the kids away from it.

The pillows where not comfortable for me and the shower literally took about 5 minutes to heat up and was over a bath.

Our room (garden with pool) was amazing with great views over the water to Venice. The staff were all amazing and contributed to us having such a wonderful stay. The free shuttle boat into venice and back to the hotel every half hour was very useful and ran very efficiently

The food in general was not up to the high standards set by the rest of the hotel. While it was nice, it was not 5* and the options were limited Air con on shuttle boat would have been a welcome addition as at times it was unbearably hot

Stunning property on its own island.

We had the most pleasant stay possible at the Marriot hotel in Venice. If you are still hesitating, I strongly recommand this place as the best possible escape from the crowds of Venice. Our receptionist (Petar, if I recall well) was the most kind person and provided us with a great reception, we felt most welcome! We went for our 4 year anniversary on a surprise trip for my husband, and a personnal attention was provided in the room as a surprise. It made our experience complete! The room was perfect, even all the little details. The Island is simply breathtaking, it's an oasis of rest and a paradise to spend time on. Every inch of it is in perfect condition, you can see a lot of attention is made to detail. The trip with the boat towards the hotel is magnificent and with the private taxi you arrive in true James Bond style directly into the hotel. It's a very unique experience! The shuttle provided by the hotel itself is wonderful as well but does not go into the hotel deck. Another big plus is the pool, with a most surprising view of Venice and the nicest pool bar. The people working there are just the sweetest, they take care off everything. We were stunned by the breakfast, and once again the kindness of the personnel in this place as well. Nothing is too much, they try to make your stay as pleasant as possible and always with a smile. The food is amazing and the buffet shows a lot of variety. I truely loved the art on the capuccinno, another detail making the Marriot hotel stand out. Overall, I can say the place is amazing, not only for it's emplacement, but also for the greatest staff! I strongly recommend this place, especially since I've been to other high-end hotels in Venice also and can say that nothing beats this place. It is expensive, but really worth it, because it's expensive everywhere in Venice, here with a little extra you get a whole other level of experience!

need to be more mindful about Ecology. when switching AC off leave it of. no reuse towel policy, etc. Roof top restaurant is pricey for the quality of the of the food/drinks but the situation is awesome

All of the staff were professional and friendly. They helped us book travel, dinners, etc. They helped me plan a special surprise for our daughter who just earned her PhD. She was so surprised and happy!

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The gardens in the front were gorgeous. The only improvement would be weeding the gardens in the back.

Everything was perfect. Room was lovely and spacious.

On 2 mornings we had eaten our breakfast before our cups of tea came. The overhead shower wasn't very good.

It’s relaxed and a haven of peace, located just 20 minutes by boat from San Marco (the shuttle service is free and leaves every 30 minutes). The gardens are beautiful, with the perfume from hundreds of roses and other plants. Best of all, every single member of staff is delightful and does their utmost to help.

The cost of a glass or bottle of wine is extremely high. Also, I feel the indoor pool in the spa should be available free to guests.

Stunning island location away from the chaos of central Venice.

The only tiny negative is that the complimentary shuttle boat to the mainland doesn’t start until 9am which is a little bit late but everything else was perfect.

The room was fabulous, breakfast was outstanding with huge choice and the free shuttle to St Marks Square was wonderful.

Generally (with the exception of th4e Dispensary cafe) the prices for food and drink were excessive and reflected the fact that you are isolated from competition.

Everything! the friendliness and promptness of the staff always ready to satisfy the customers' requests, spacious and very comfortable rooms, excellent restaurants… just love it!
