Hotel Le Soleil, Vancouver

We were here for a conference and the hotel was very convenient for both going to the sessions and wandering around town. Loved having a separate sitting area that could be closed off from the bedroom for jet lag mornings. Very comfortable beds and the business center was very useful.

Really lovely old style hotel in a good location. Comfortable room. The complimentary coffee, tea and water were welcome and the staff were very friendly. It seems to have a good arrangement with the YWCA pool and gym next door, but we didn't try that.

I was hoping for something more and really wanted to love this hotel. This is a really nice hotel and we really liked it but there were a couple of small things that stopped us loving it. The coffee machine in room was a nice touch but it was an odd machine (you only put in as much water at a time as you want to come out) and they gave us only two pods/capsules, which seemed a bit mean (they did say in reception to call down for more if we wanted). We couldn't get the main shower head to work and had to rely on the handheld. Although this was styled as a suite, the room was quite small. Also, the breakfast for this price point was a bit odd - no breakfast buffet, filter coffee, and a restriction to only one item from the menu. The breakfast itself was really good, but someone else in reviews described it as the best hotel breakfast they ever had. I couldn't agree with that. Lots of smaller, less stylish hotels would have a much better breakfast range in my view (at least outside of Canada). And the a/c was quite loud: I felt like we were aboard ship with the engine thrumming (though it didn't bother my wife and it didn't keep us awake) All in all this is a lovely hotel which could be so much more. Currently, it isn't good value for money in my view.

They allowed us an early check in which was truly appreciated! The staff was friendly, the manager made themselves available to anything we needed. We needed to simply stay for one night, so we had everything we needed! The hotel is also very central to everything which is in walking distance!

Breakfast was lovely, but the portions were huge! Would be nice to see a variety of coffee(s) offered.

The hotel is in a great area close to exclusive shops and small food stores plus restaurants. The only small concern is the noisy air conditioner. Having said that I would certainly recommend this lovely hotel

We had a very pleasant experience at Hotel Soleil. From the smooth check-in process to the courteous staff and clean, comfortable rooms, everything was well organized. The location is convenient, and the breakfast was a great start to the day. Highly recommend for both families and business travelers. One suggestion - adding a bit more variety to the breakfast menu would make it even better, especially for guests staying more than two days. Would definitely come back again!

Perfect location, everything on walking distance! Hotel is do beautiful and they have an exceptional staff. Breakfast was incredible, great taste and quantity, perfect to help you to run until dinner time

Just small details where it was hard to do the check-in

Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds. Bathroom had a real bathtub and shower. Fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Plenty of charging plugs. Big TV!

Room was beautiful, it was a little bit more than I would usually pay but it did not disappoint. Bed was comfortable and the room came with two tvs, hairdryer, kettle/coffee maker which was great. Check out time was at 12:00 which was also nice as I didn't feel rushed to leave after a one night stay.

We stayed here for 6 nights visiting from the UK ahead of our cruise. The hotel was lovely, as were all the staff and the location was perfect. It was approx 6 minute walk to the cruise port which was directly straight down the street that the hotel is located on, so we were able to stroll down with our large suitcases with ease for our cruise. We will definitely be staying here again when we return and would highly recommend.

The bar was more of a restaurant than a bar. I’m sure we could have had drinks if we opted to sit at the bar but we ended up going to other places for casual drinks, so never ended up going to the restaurant/bar. Also, the stay was quite pricey for what it was but I would still stay here again.

Great breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee provided topped up from a large jug - very satisfying.

Everything was good right from the start of the stay. Reception was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant w..as surprising good, value for money. The only thing they could have done better, perhap help when we requested to loan a computer mouse. We forgotten ours and has to buy one so that we could do some work.

We were here for a conference and the hotel was a short walk from the convention center. Loved having a living area separate from the bedroom -- so nice for the person awake from jet lag!

I wish there were an onsite laundry facility for guests.

Our room was a queen suite and was so spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and served to the table with several choices, I had granola, fruit and yoghurt and my husband had a cooked breakfast, both were delicious. We used the complimentary bicycles, which were a great way of sightseeing and we cycled around Stanley Park, highly recommended.

The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect: a couple of blocks from the light rail system, perfect for getting around town. It was also close to interesting restaurants and the art museum.

A charming and sophisticated hotel that smells amazing when you walk in the door. The concierge booked our restaurant for us and the staff cheerfully helped with every small detail

Very comfortable supportive bed. Loved the little details including the most gorgeous tissue box holder. Everyone was friendly, warm, and very helpful. They also recommended a nail salon that was very good! The Alouette Restaurant is very good and we had dinner there the first night to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

I realised that I probably should have booked a larger room as we were re-packing for our cruise, but even in the room we were in, we could open suitcases easily.

Location is very central in downtown area, the room is quite good, only in the room that we were staying a bit noisy from the Air conditioning system. the bed is good

There were no areas for people to sit other than the main entry area. We had a group of nine, and it would have been nice to have had a sitting area.

Our room was spacious and we enjoyed the complimentary bike hire. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and being able to store our luggage there pre check in and post check out was such a help

Everything was just perfect, great ambience, attentive staff, an excellent French restaurant and a very comfortable bed! Location was five minutes away from the waterfront and right in the centre of the city.

The hotel is lovely and in a great location. We stayed in a king corner suite and had lots of room (including an additional seating area and balcony) The bed was big and super comfortable. Really good WiFi which allowed us to connect our mobile phones to the TVs and stream without any issues.
