Beautiful decor.

Very noisy area in Toronto’ entertainment district. Would not recommend on a weekend if you expect to get sleep. Loose cover on vanity fell off and hurt toe.

The front desk staff were very friendly.

The venetian blind in the window wouldn’t close so we couldn’t get a good sleep. Curtain or blockout blind would be better. One teabag (for black tea). Feels very stingy. Surely for the price we could get two teabags, one each? Outside of the property is very dingy and the view is just onto other buildings.

Great location good rooms. Doorman was great. Bar was small but good. Housekeeping were good. They found some lost property we left and mailed it home.

WiFi was poor. Staff on reception were not helpful either at check in or check out. But did agree to mail an item we left behind home.

Clean and the location

Checking in the room initially was not as photo’s on booking. And when checking in we were being told the room doesn’t include breakfast even tho bookings said it did. The front desk gave it to us but made it seem like they were doing us a favour even tho bookings clearly stated breakfast included. We also asked that bedding for the couch be sent to our room - twice - and it never got sent. Very unresponsive front desk experience.

Location and value

The hotel, and in particular the room is too dark.

Comfortable room and pleasant staff

1) Airless. No way to control temperature or air flow, making it hard to sleep, and leaving us both with stuffy headaches by morning. 2) Host kindly offered to bring us nondairy milk for our coffee, but didn’t follow through. We left as soon as we could in the morning to get coffee and fresh air.

The soap and shampoo was over whelmingly scented. Both my wife and I ended up with terrible headaches, and my wife was ill all day until she was able to shower when we arrived home. Cartering to so many people we strongly suggest having scent free options available.

Recommendation

I’ve made a reservation through booking.com with a certain rate and during check out the amount charged was different! I just realized that they ‘changed’ at the app the day after my departure since I’ve complained to customer service.

Room was clean and a good large size with plenty of room for luggage. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was surrounded by construction work. The entrance was small and not on a main street. Access to the hotel entrance was not in a convenient spot.

The room was so dark. We needed more light. We would like to have a small continental breakfast included.

The local TV channnels on the TV didn’t work in our first room. We were told it would require removing the tv and reprogramming it to attempt to fix it. We then moved room and could not regulate the temperature. It was just too cold. Also not all the TV channels worked however more than the prev room. All abit disappointing.

The staff was super nice. We were able to check in early and out late and they accommodated us. Location is great - lots of restaurants, convenience stores, etc. nearby. The shower is top tier and the bed pretty comfy.

A little pricey and some of the furnishings in the room are dated.

Nice sized room

TV never worked, despite asking numerous times. Needed it to mask the sound of construction work outside the building. Hotel had nothing going for it. Wish had stayed elsewhere for such an exorbitant amount of money

The decor was beautiful, modern, and attractive. A very nice atmosphere.

You have to call the front desk to adjust the temperature in your room.

-The room was a bit too dark and needed more overhead lighting, especially to work. - Too much construction in the area at the moment so it was very noisy.

Beautiful hotel that met then exceeded my expectations

Very sleek and spacious room with full amenities and a great shower. The staff was also extremely kind and accommodating and the food was delicious.

Friendly and helpful staff, Parking available on site, amazing rooms with the most comfortable beds i've seen in a hotel. Central location directly downtown right by the water, lots of restaurants nearby.

extremely convenient for our evening event. Quiet, boutique hotel...much prefer it to a large scale hotel

Construction … and the price ..

The location was perfect for our visit. Fairly close to train station. Very close to family and other sight-seeing options.

Building work opposite hotel was a bit noisy with a 6am start. Not the hotel's fault but maybe a reduction in the room rate for the inconvenience would have been nice. The breakfast was ok, but a little over-priced.

I thought the dinner was excellent along with the service. I also enjoyed the location that was very close to restaurants and tourist locations. The rooms were very clean and trendy. The staff was very helpful

The room keys were not working properly. So that could be improved. Although there is construction it may be inconvenient if I was driving but that was not the case for me.

The breakfast was delicious but overpriced. I stayed for 3 nights and should have received free breakfast at least one day. I loved the room, very comfortable.

The room had very poor lighting especially due to construction I had no view and could not even open my blinds as there was another building right infront of my room window.

I loved the room. It was so beautiful and comfy. I originally booked this hotel because of its interior design.

Outside of the hotel is currently going on a lot of construction. So car parking in front of the hotel door might take some time.

Great location, incredibly comfortable bed. Loved the free water on every floor. Quiet.

Had dinner once in lobby bar - thought it could be improved to meet high standards of the hotel.

Great location for events at the Roger’s centre. Beds were extremely comfortable.

Very clean room, staff extremely friendly and helpful, hotel itself was beautiful (the bar looked very nice as well).

Downside was that there was construction taking place across our room - which we were not notified about. Very noisy as from 6 AM until late at night. Hotel could have informed us in advance about this atleast.

great location, atmosphere and very helpful concierge / front desk! they gave us great suggestions of where to eat, shop and kept our bags for us while we waited for our room to be ready
