Architecture, Location, Excellent Staff

I loved everything about it. The customer service is the best in the city.

Everything was perfect.

The location was close to everything. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The room and hotel were clean. We enjoyed having a drink and snack in the center bar and had breakfast in Reign.

Three of us stayed in the room and there was only 2 bath robes and slippers.

Everything, there wasn't one thing we were unhappy with...we especially enjoyed the fully stocked mini fridge with alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. We loved the service and staff, they were so attentive and helpful. Everything about the hotel is immaculate.

No other hotel does Christmas like Fairmount Royal York! We love all the festive decor and the cozy ambiance it provides! The price for our stay was very budget friendly which was great. I will always return to this property when traveling at this time of year.

I’ve lived in Toronto my whole life and have always wanted to stay the history of the hotel was nice to see old photos and I loved the Christmas decorations they were spectacular

The most comfortable beds ever, room service was amazing. Quality of linens and towels was superb. Our ac wasn’t working and we called them at 2am and they came within minutes and fixed it for us, AMAZING and THANK YOU! Nespresso coffee, great location, bars on property were divine, classy and amazing food and drinks.

We went during Christmas and it was crazy! That’s not their fault. The hotel is beautiful so everyone wants To see it, the problem is we could never get a seat at one of the restaurants because of this.

Would like to suggest a grab and go bakery with Christmas treats!

Elegant rooms and interior with decorations for Christmas. Very central location. Access to VIA rail and the UP train to the airport a short walk across the street. Walking distance to shows and restaurants in the area.

No ramp up from the main entrance. Requires lift bags up stairs or having bellman do so for you.

Very festive. Perfect location for our cross-country train trip.

The music was extremely loud in the lobby area and bars. We had to leave the hotel to find a quieter bar to have a drink. It would be nice to offer a quiet respite from the very loud holiday music.

Location is perfect, we used the PATH to walk underground to the Eaton Center, allowing us to leave our coats in the hotel. The staff is amazing, they are so friendly and helpful.

The downstairs area had a lot of exceptionally loud music playing which made it an area that you couldn’t relax and à drink.

The location was perfect. Close to everything. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays

There was a long wait for valet parking and it was hard to get a seat in the lobby bar.

Breakfast in The Reign Restaurant was perfect, but was also paid for by the Hotel due to a bad experience at dinner the night before in the same restaurant

Too many people in the lobby. It became too crowded and messy.

Loved the underground shops, restaurants, pathways to other venues ( e.g. Scotiabank Arena). Enjoyed just sitting in the lobby of the Royal York taking in the stunning Christmas decor. Hotel staff was amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Was just a wonderful weekend getaway.

The Christmas decorations in the lobby were spectacular. Matt at the Concierge Desk was extremely helpful.

The fact that extra was needed to pay for a fridge in the room based upon already premium room prices, is pure gouging. Additionally, the lack of a bathroom fan is short sighted. And finally, the walls apparently are paper thin. We could hear sounds / conversations from all the rooms around us.

5 yr old son was given $50 in hotel credits (he loved it), r.I stay in this hotel 5-6 times a year and never had that. Very appreciative of it. The teddy bear was a nice gift for kids

Check in takes way too long, especially considering I pre-booked and I’m assuming most people have.

Excellent customer service and great facilities.

No complimentary wifi and breakfast, which is unusual for such costs per night and category of hotel. Quite disappointing that one has to again pay for wifi and breakfast.

Stayed for our so sons wedding , hair and makeup in your salon was the best, Thankyou, the room was grand and spacious, the food service and wedding venue were absolutely perfect Thankyou Louise robinson

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. We had a gold king room which gave us breakfast and access to a restricted lounge. Very beautiful and the staff treated us like royalty.

Even with the extras the price was way more than we would normally pay. Not sure it was a good value.

My stay at the Fairmont Royal York was exceptional in every respect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The hotel exudes a sense of classic grandeur combined with modern comfort, perfectly reflecting the charm of downtown Toronto. Every member of staff — from reception to housekeeping and concierge — was professional, attentive, and warm. They handled requests efficiently and always with a smile. The concierge service, in particular, was extremely knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations for dining and local attractions. special thanks to Rezal and Stella at housekeeping team and Frances at reception

On weekend mornings, breakfast service was a little slow — we waited around 25–30 minutes to be seated and served. It was understandable given how popular the restaurant is, but a faster system or priority seating for guests would make the experience even better.

Room and amenities were great. Gym is massive.

The check-in process was a bit tedious.

I thought it was good but very expensive.

I thought the room was a bit small.
