Elegant rooms and interior with decorations for Christmas. Very central location. Access to VIA rail and the UP train to the airport a short walk across the street. Walking distance to shows and restaurants in the area.

No ramp up from the main entrance. Requires lift bags up stairs or having bellman do so for you.

Very festive. Perfect location for our cross-country train trip.

The music was extremely loud in the lobby area and bars. We had to leave the hotel to find a quieter bar to have a drink. It would be nice to offer a quiet respite from the very loud holiday music.

Location is perfect, we used the PATH to walk underground to the Eaton Center, allowing us to leave our coats in the hotel. The staff is amazing, they are so friendly and helpful.

It’s location and close proximity to the station

The downstairs area had a lot of exceptionally loud music playing which made it an area that you couldn’t relax and à drink.

The location was perfect. Close to everything. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays

There was a long wait for valet parking and it was hard to get a seat in the lobby bar.

Breakfast in The Reign Restaurant was perfect, but was also paid for by the Hotel due to a bad experience at dinner the night before in the same restaurant

Loved the underground shops, restaurants, pathways to other venues ( e.g. Scotiabank Arena). Enjoyed just sitting in the lobby of the Royal York taking in the stunning Christmas decor. Hotel staff was amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Was just a wonderful weekend getaway.

The Christmas decorations in the lobby were spectacular. Matt at the Concierge Desk was extremely helpful.

The fact that extra was needed to pay for a fridge in the room based upon already premium room prices, is pure gouging. Additionally, the lack of a bathroom fan is short sighted. And finally, the walls apparently are paper thin. We could hear sounds / conversations from all the rooms around us.

5 yr old son was given $50 in hotel credits (he loved it), r.I stay in this hotel 5-6 times a year and never had that. Very appreciative of it. The teddy bear was a nice gift for kids

Check in takes way too long, especially considering I pre-booked and I’m assuming most people have.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. We had a gold king room which gave us breakfast and access to a restricted lounge. Very beautiful and the staff treated us like royalty.

Even with the extras the price was way more than we would normally pay. Not sure it was a good value.

My stay at the Fairmont Royal York was exceptional in every respect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The hotel exudes a sense of classic grandeur combined with modern comfort, perfectly reflecting the charm of downtown Toronto. Every member of staff — from reception to housekeeping and concierge — was professional, attentive, and warm. They handled requests efficiently and always with a smile. On weekend mornings, breakfast service was a little slow — we waited around 25–30 minutes to be seated and served. It was understandable given how popular the restaurant is, but a faster system or priority seating for guests would make the experience even better.

Room and amenities were great. Gym is massive.

Slight hiccup with checking in and couldn’t find my reservation but it was rectified and I got into my room.

Fabulous hotel ideally located for the Blue Jay's stadium. 2nd time we're stayed here and returned this summer to go to see the Weeknd in concert. Also ideally located for the Eaton Shopping centre. Hotel was busy so check-in was slow. We were promised an early check-in and paid for an upgrade however we had to get refunded due to the suite not being ready earlier. Room was comfortable witha great view of the CN tower. Shower was barely warm.

The services were exceptional from the moment we enter reception to housekeeping and to dining services. Decor was tasteful and stylish. Food was excellent! Pool & spa facilities were fantastic! well maintained and equipped, with glass ceiling roof. It was a quiet place to rejuvenate.

they charge $25 if you request a refrigerator to a few cold items. the 1 refrigerator the room comes with is filled with hotel's chargeable items we didn't need. there was weren't any space to keep our fruits from attracting ants. $500/night, they could accommodate that. $75/day for parking. it seems a la carte and services were adding up. My husband has disability, and there's only an elevator to valet side of the hotel, not the front entrance, for pick up, but there wasn't any seats/bench for ADA guests to wait for their pick up. Given that, this whole area is a busy and high traffic.

Lobby felt luxury. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was small for the description of "luxury" also room was warm and couldn't lower the temperature down lower than 20 Celsius.

Our room had a broken climate control. It was absolutely freezing. They had a portable heater in the closet. It was so cold that we tried to use it. But it blew the fuse so we never turned it on again. The hallway was warmer. Had to go buy fleece pjs.
