Hostel Nui, Tokyo

It was near 7eleven, the facilities were great and the staff friendly.

The bar was more expensive than I thought, just like any other bar, though the drinks were good.

Very clean and thoughtfully organised hostel. Bathrooms are well stocked with everything you need, and rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a vibey bar/cafe on the ground floor, and an indoor and rooftop common area. Laundry is convenient and cheap as well. It is super close to the subway station and nearby convenience stores.

Common areas were not as social as I hoped - the bar/cafe can be busy with a mix of public/guests, but the private common areas are very quiet.

The room was confortable but a little small (but we were aware of its size before coming) and with not a lot of spaces to put away our luggage. The common bathroom and restrooms were really clean. The common room was nice and cosy and the breakfast was good. The location is great as it is 15 min away by foot from Senso-Ji temple.

Maybe not enough place to put away the luggage but it was quite okay as we were not staying a long time.

My second time staying here. Love the vibe of Nui, it’s very foreigner friendly and is in a great location right near the river and Kuramae station. If you’re a solo traveller looking to make some friends and have a fun time out in Tokyo, I would definitely recommend this place. The dorm beds are very comfy, and everything is very clean.

I think it’s a bit pricey, but for the location in Tokyo I’d say it’s worth it. You’re going to be hard pressed to find anything cheap in this area.

For the moment Nui Hostel is the best Hostel that I went in Tokyo. The rooms and the beds are nice, clean, sunny and really comfortable (even for the biggest dormitory). The floor for women is great : big bathrooms, always clean, hairdriers and straighteners available. But what is the nicest with this hostel is the atmosphere. The common areas are big and intimate in the same time, super friendly. You have a rooftop, big kitchen and living room, the bar downstairs is great. It's rare to find social hostels in Tokyo and this one was a perfect find. I am a solo woman traveller and it was so easy to meet people there. Last but not least, the staff is super friendly as well. I recommend 100% and for my next journey in Tokyo for sure I will book here again. Thanks !

the hostel was extremely clean & well kept. the breakfast was nice & the hostel beds had curtains which was really nice. However, not the most social hostel so hard to meet people. the breakfast spot/bar was definitely a place for locals which was nice.

I found this chilled hostel had a much better vibe than the others in Shinjuku etc, people were sociable

May benefit by handing out some information on where is best to go nearby for late drinks (given the different location)

Stylish decorations. Nice kitchen. Workspace upstairs. Common area was ok - not the best for socializing with others, more a place to work or eat by yourself. Cafe/bar downstairs was nice with decent food but a bit expensive. The bathrooms were amazing - clean, great water pressure in the showers, enough that you didn't have to wait a lot for the shower or toilet. Really close to the train. Not the most central part of Tokyo so it takes about 35-45 mins to get to the main areas but not a big deal since the station is only steps away from the hostel so that makes up for it.

Wish there were some planned social activities. The mattresses/bed in the dorms are very hard (just a thin piece of foam).

Even if it was only for one night I enjoyed Nui Hostel very much! The staff were incredibly nice and cheerful. They were very helpful too and offered me to exchange my breakfast voucher for a dinner one since I was leaving early in the morning. The coffee at the cafe was so so good, and the food was too. The room and common places were clean and nice.

The location is good. About 15 min walk from Asasuka station. The room and the hostel were clean and the reception/dining place is quite spacy and lively. The shared bathrooms/toilets are clean and comfortable enough.

The double room was very small, just enough for one bed and 2 suitcase. Some other guests came back around 3-4am and were very loud.

The bar is really nice, serving good specialty coffee and cocktails. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. Would totally go back!

The property was very clean, free toiletries were excellent quality. Cafe downstairs was lovely

The staff is amazing and friendly. The common area is a great way to make some friends for solo travelers. The bar downstairs was surprisingly great place to hang out at when you're tired after a long day. Many thanks to Kazu who made some of the best cocktails I've had.

Friendly staff and the breakfast (granola) was very tasty. The bathroom was very neat and spacious.

When im in Tokyo, i always go back to Nui Hostel cause the place is really nice and can meet people in the common areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. The coffee and breakfast are really good and the place, authentic and charming. 3mn walk from Kuramae Station and 10mn from Asakusa, very convenient. One of the best hostels i've ever tried in Tokyo

IT IS A FUNKY LITTLE BAR IN A GREAT AND CONVENIENT LOCATION NEAR THE KURAMAE STATION AND CLOSE TO THE RIVER. TYPICAL JAPANESE HOSTEL TYPE SMALL ROOMS AND GOOD SHARED BATHROOMS. THE STAFF WERE VERY PLEASANT EXCEPT ONE GIRL WHO WAS QUITE GRUFF UNTIL WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH HER AND THEN SHE WARMED UP. IT IS VERY CLEAN AND WE LIKED THE WARM ATMOSPHERE PLUS WE ENJOYED RENTING THE BIKES ONE DAY TO RIDE AROUND TOKYO! GOOD VALUE

BEING OLDER WE FOUND THE BUNK BED ROOM A BIT OF A CHALLENGE. THE LINEN WAS FOLDED ON THE BED AND WE HAD TO MAKE THE BEDS. HMMM NOT SO FUN WHEN YOU ARE TIRED AND WANT TO SLEEP.

Super clean dorm rooms and considerate travellers who keep common areas clean and neat. Common room at the top floor was also very chill - it was easy to make new friends! Shoutout to the staff who helped me locate some items that I left behind and mailed it back to me. Super helpful! 💞

First time staying at a hostel and I’m fully converted. Nui was very clean, with a fantastic kitchen/lounge area upstairs, and the roof was very nice to relax on. Bathroom and shower stalls felt very private and there was almost never a wait (only <5 min when showering at peak times in the morning). Hot water was consistent. Train station was an easy walk away. Staff were very friendly. The sumida riverwalk is an excellent place for a morning jog. I would definitely stay here again.

Such lively place (restaurant & hostel) from people around the world! Love the vibes! Really comfortable room and good amenities. Walkable distance to Asakusa attractions and restaurants can be found easily. Will def consider NUI again!!

Just the price was really high for a small double room, although I’ve secured this deal long time before arrival. Also property info could state which EXIT to reach NUI faster at KURAMAE station. (Perhaps helpful for other guests)

The bar / cafe downstairs was always buzzing and a good place to hang out and have a coffee to start the day. I had lost my bag & passport and the guys were super helpful in contacting various establishments where I could possibly have left it. They were awesome and really cared about helping me and yes I did get my bag back in the end!

Loved the place, comfy and cozy. Most of the staff were great, but there was one woman during night that really mistreated us both times we interacted. Fortunately, the rest of the stuff helped us!!
