All you need to know
Environmental friendly, the URBN Hotel, centered at the heart of Shanghai, was formerly a post office building. The existing structure was renovated using recycled and locally sourced material like reclaimed wood and old bricks. The hotel has also implemented solar shades and a water-based air conditioning system. The hotel has managed to do what seems impossible; combine culture, ecology and design to create a Zen-like feel in the center of busy shanghai. It is proudly the first carbon-neutral hotel in China.
Specifically located in Jing’an, the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from Paramount and Jing An Temple, Jade Buddha Temple and French Concession. When guests are not immersed in the culture and history of these sights, they can relax in one of the lovely rooms decorated with natural materials. The sleeping area is a platform bed with a wrap-around sofa. Other room amenities include flat-screen TV with CD and DVD players, iPod docking stations and a video game system. There is even an in-room fitness kit. The bathroom consists of a free-standing tub and a stone walk-in shower.
Some of these rooms overlook the bamboo garden. When guests are not exploring the hotel amenities, they can enjoy the lively surrounding districts. This hotel is the ideal accommodation location for vacationing couples and business executives in one of China’s most well-known cities.
