Boutique Hotel Casa de Colón, Seville

A charming, historic little hotel in the very heart of Seville, only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and surrounded by wonderful restaurants, and shops. A sumptuous breakfast is offered either in your room, in the peaceful and airy central atrium, or on the roof with a view of the city. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My wife and I would be delighted to return.

the location and staff were excellent. you cannot ask for better.

however the facility is tired and poorly appointed with furnishings that belong in a thrift shop not a 3 star hotel. And the building is noisy. For the price we expected far better accommodations

The hotel is in a great central location and the reception staff in particular were great making sure we knew everything we should see and do

Great location very close to the Cathedral. Huge comfortable bed and we had a quiet room off the street. Roof terrace for breakfast. Reception staff very helpful. Good breakfast - you need to be specific about your requirements - type of tea/how you like your eggs,

Housekeeping could have been a bit better, we had to call reception as no towels were left in the room.

Wondeful location, good breakfast. We walked to every attraction from the hotel easily. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean. Historical building in a very historical quarter of Seville.

The room was a bit dinghy and in need of better maintenance (peeling paint etc)

Very vintage and authentic, rooms were attractive, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the terrace in the evening.

It took us over 2 hours to locate the hotel and finally park our car. Seville is NOT car-friendly and once you miss a turn (very easy to do) you’re condemned to another 20-30 minute circuit around the narrow streets. The hotel instructions included google-map links but these did not deliver us to the correct spot. I’ve been a host myself and trialled my links to ensure they were effective and included street photos to reassure the traveller. I suggest this hotel does the same.

Perfect location for the centre of Seville. Family run hotel and all the staff were charming and helpful. The traditional architecture & features added to the hotels charm. Roof top terrace is great for breakfast & views of the cathedral. The rooms are very clean.

Authentic full of character

We loved this authentic Spanish boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Could not fault the hotel. It is unique in its style surrounded within by blue glass stained windows. It was comfortable and clean. This is not the usual ultra modern hotel we have stayed at many times before. It was full of character. Location was perfect. In a small street just a minute to the cathedral. Everything was close by or within easy walking distance. Lots of places to eat nearby. Perfect location for us. Breakfast on the terrace or the indoor courtyard reception was excellent. If we had one small suggestion to make it would be that our bathroom/toilet door was less see through as lying in bed we could see each other using the toilet because it was not opaque enough and we could see through it.

The WiFi was unsecured and wasn’t always stable, but it didn’t cause any personal issue.

Great location & gorgeous hotel. Nice breakfast/coffee plus a nice rooftop view. Everything was clean & the staff was very helpful. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi was weak. It often was out of range, and we were on the first floor, so if you’re trying to avoid international internet/messagings costs, you may want to consider this. Otherwise great place!

Location was perfect, room was spacious with all expected amenities and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was great size with good hot shower. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Despite the central location, we were not affected by any street noise late at night. Loved staying in a family owned hotel in the heart of the old town.

Location is perfect for walking to so many things. The hotel itself is gorgeous with gorgeous tiles. My room was so comfortable and the staff was so helpful. Espresso in the lobby was the perfect touch.

The location was perfect as in the center of all. On walking in , the decor was beautiful , all the gorgeous tiles, stained glass, the welcoming staff , made me feel at home. Breakfast was on the terrace, watching the sun rise behind the Cathedral, looking over the rooftops with a friendly smile bringing me my breakfast. As I had long day trips out , Marco , at the front desk I saw the most upon returning late at night and he could not have been kinder and more helpful ...so a special thanks to him. I would recommend staying here , with all my heart , to any traveller.

Unique hotel, superb staff

Fabulous location and the traditional style of architecture is something you won’t see in many properties. It is a family owned and managed hotel and the welcome was very warm.

The hotel won’t be to everyone’s taste and the antiquity and style of the property means that there are a few compromises to be made. For a two night stay, however, that wasn’t an issue for us. The overall experience was a very positive one.

Location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the old city, 1 minute from the cathedral and ideal for visiting all of the central attractions of Sevilla, plus of course its wonderful bars and restaurants. Add to this modern comforts with historic charm and honestly there is nothing not to like here. My second visit to this beautiful hotel. First time we had a premier room at the front with a balcony, this time our standard twin was smaller and at the back. Slightly cramped but still comfortable and very clean. Love the little touches, like the hotel logo on the towels etc. Having a mini fridge is great too, I imagine in summer that would be even more useful. Breakfast on the terrace is a must. Even though Seville was colder than usual, the sun still warms quickly and the views are worth it. Highly recommend this hotel if you want location and character. Just gorgeous.

We found the church bells and air conditioning units to be noisy, but I am a very sensitive sleeper. Need to upgrade my earplugs, maybe. Being underneath the terrace kitchen/roof terrace we found the cleaning or setting up to be disturbing too. There appeared to be tables and chairs dragged around from 5:30am onwards. Perhaps,in deference to guests, this could be done later?

Atrium design of hotel means can be noisy at times.

Plentiful breakfast served to your table on the roof terrace, it is not a shared buffet. Hotel is a short walk from the cathedral and there are good shops and restaurants on the same street. All the staff were very helpful. It is not marketed as 5 star so bear that in mind when setting your own expectations. It is quirky in a good way, so embrace it.

We knew that it did not have parking. Be prepared for narrow streets and lots of people on the road not the footpath when you are finding the parking.

My second stay in this beautiful hotel and again had a wonderful experience! The location is absolutely perfect and the views are stunning!

Unfortunately I didn't realize I had booked with breakfast and found out at check out. I've had breakfast there in the past and was amazing! So sad I missed it!

Fantastic location, right by the cathedral but on a quiet street. The building is quirky with many unique features. One of our rooms had a terrace with views of the cathedral (room 302). The other room (203) was darker with a small window that opened onto the enclosed lobby. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Cleanliness was excellent. The public terrace on the roof was delightful for viewing the cathedral at night. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available. The breakfast included more than we could eat so we took the fruit for lunch. Highly recommended.

Was charged for 3 nights only stayed 2.So important to double check payment details in a lot of these hotels as they are quick to overcharge.
