Hotel Ibis Ambassador Myeongdong, Seoul

Ibis Ambassador was the perfect location for our stay. It’s our first time in Seoul and I decided to choose a hotel where a lot of action is happening. Airport bus stops next to the hotel, it has a good laundry room, it is next to Myeongdong’s night street food scene. We booked 2 double rooms and we all have no complaint for the value of money in return to the perfect location and amenities. Our rooms had comfy beds, bathroom was good, we were able to use the laundry room in the vicinity. My daughter was happy we stayed there. Also, the staff was outstanding - all very helpful and kind. Thank you!

Location. Near subway. Walking distance to tourist area. Near to evening street food. Opposite to malls. Most important is the airport bus is almost right infront of the hotel.

Size. For 1 pax is fine. 2 pax might be too small. Coffee provided not strong in frgrance. Wifi in the room is not ideal.

The hotel location is excellent.at the beginning of the street,there is a market that opens every day around 12:00-13:00 and closes around 22:00-23:00. There are many restaurants and shops in the area.the metro station is right next door.there are also many buses and taxis . The room was comfortable.i

The hotel is very well located, offers access to all. Breakfast is ok and the staff are helpful. It is just that because I booked via Booking.com that I could not modify my dates. I ended up paying twice because I could not travel on the expected date (visa issues), nor Booking nor the hotel could make an effort to accept the modifications. I ended up paying Ibis and the hotel in Taiwan where I was staying. I am Very unhappy with booking.com!

Had to go up to the 19th floor just to return the room card n head down again. It's inconvenient especially when you hv a 4:20am airport bus to catch.

Superb location. Airport bus stop is just 50 metres away. Walking distance to everything: shopping, food, etc etc.

I couldn't be happier with my staying at Ibis Ambassador Myeongdong. The location is superb, right on the heart of Myeongdong!! Airport bus, bus stop and subway station right in front of the hotel. Few steps from the busy Myeongdong street and walking distance from everywhere! I was able to leave my large suitcase at the hotel while took a weekend trip to Busan. The rooms were clean and big enough for 2 people with a nice view of the city. I would definitely come back!

Location Great, Walking distance to shopping and evening street food. Can go anywhere by subway, bus or taxi. The airport limosine bus stop is next to the hotel. Stayed in a traditional room with ondol floors. The beds were comfy and low, the ondol floors keep the bed warm. Traditional hanji type sliding windows give a nice atmospere, however the exterior windows can't be opened. The bathroom is small compared to others we stayed in, one foot is in the ocean cruise style shower when you use the bidet. The breakfastdidn't really offer that much variety, it was okay. The food isn't really kept warm by the heat lamps. I was able to walk to the palace and underground Sejong and Yi museums (1.4 mile) and take the bus back with no problems. If you want to go to an awesome learning adventure that is free, go to the Admital Yi and King Sejong statues by the palace and US Embassy. Under the stautes is a museum to these two national treasures and a scale model of a Turtle Ship. The historical presentation about their lives and achievements as well as artifacts is presented wonderfully. The front desk staff is wonderful. When we checked out they allowed us to leave our luggage at the reception area and do some final shopping and sightseeing before catching the airport limosine bus to the terminal. This is what I was looking for in a room and I was happy with it.

A larger shower and more variety at breakfast would have made this stay a better value. I had to extend my trip, due to an error on my behalf and I had to add a day to my stay and was unable to do it through booking.com. I contacted the property and was able to book directly for the final day, but at a higher cost. I really don't have any complaints and will book this the next time I go to Seoul minus the breakfast option.

The location is great with easy walking distance to shops, dining and markets and the breakfast was very good and not overpriced. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Central location for dining, shopping, transportation, and security. Excellent, english speaking and professional staff who were helpful. Entrance to hotel off from main road, with bus stops lined with patrons and easy access to desk and elevators.

Excellent service - I was early and they offered me early check in. Made my day. Location couldn't be more convenient next to shopping street, convenience store and restaurants. Plus points to coin laundry and hot bath.

The Ibis Ambassador Myeongdong in Seoul is a fantastic choice for staying in the Myeongdong area for shopping and a good base for exploring Seoul in general. Alongside the major department stores and shops immediately outside the hotel there are also a wide selection of restaurants just round the corner from the hotel. And the Myeongdong night Market is very close by also. For Travelling around Soeul the Uiluro 1 metro station is very close to the Hotel. The Breakfast buffet of the Hotel is very good if needed, and so are the rooms, given the location of the hotel it's very quiet and peaceful at night if you have a room on the higher floors, and if you stay in a queen sized room it's very sizable. The hotel staff are very warm and approachable if you have any queries. Thank you very much, It was a wonderful stay, and I would very much like to recommend this hotel for staying in Myeongdong and indeed staying in Seoul. - the location was excellent. - the ease to getting the buses and trains were excellent - staff was super friendly and were very knowledgeable in helping us with our queries. - cleaning staff were great and cleaned the room very well and also were very helpful - taking the Airport bus 6015 was very convenient. 100% should be the way for ppl to get to this hotel. In short, we would definitely stay here again for sure. Staff being super friendly and helpful was really super positive experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful with any enquiry we made. Breakfast was excellent. The location was exciting and an airport shuttle bus was right outside our front door. Would definitely stay there again.

So close to myeongdong market and very easy to go around seoul with a subway station nearby. Staff were also very helpful and nice.

Central location, perfect for exploring the vibrant Myeongdong shopping district, everything is within walking distance. The hotel offers good value for money and reliable standards, as you would expect from the Ibis brand. Rooms were clean, functional, and equipped with all essentials needed for a short city break. Despite the compact size, the quiet and efficient air conditioning made the stay comfortable.

The room and bathroom were very small, barely enough space for luggage and personal belongings. The bathroom, in particular, felt quite cramped. Still, both were adequate for the basics as expected from a three-star hotel. We booked for two adults and a child, and although the hotel was aware of this, there was only enough linen for two people. A third towel and pillow for our child would have been expected, especially since our booking included him. We did not try the breakfast, so can't comment on the food. One source of frustration was the similar branding and naming on Google Maps: there is both an Ibis Ambassador Myeongdong and an Ibis Styles Ambassador Myeongdong just a few blocks apart. The names are too alike, causing confusion with Uber and navigation—clearer differentiation would help avoid mix-ups, as the distinctions in "styles" and logo color aren’t always obvious.

The location! Airport bus 6015 is pretty much right in front of the property. Street foods & shopping are all right there. Subway and bus stations are all nearby as well. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
