GLAD Hotel Yeouido, Seoul

Huge room with a massage chair (Bodyfriend brand), sofa, desk, walk-in shower - overall good value for money.

The only negative was the small size of the one window in comparison to the large room which prevented natural light to be enjoyed. Also the lighting was dimmed, which made us sleepy when trying to relax in the afternoon after exploring the neighbourhood. Could have benefited from an extra chair in the room since there is plenty of room.

I liked the space, walk in shower, location and helpful staff.

Location. Fact that bus/subway train stations are super close.

Friendly cleaning staff, cleaned the room so well. Loved the window for fresh air. Room was so spacious and well thought out with a dresser, open clothing rack with bench underneath and the bathroom was nice and big. Bidet was high tech and state of the art. I loved that the floors were NOT carpet.

No microwave in my room.

Everything! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern, The breakfast buffet was to die for. The staff was helpful and attentive. There is a metro stop right outside the hotel, and a lovely park a few blocks away.

The rooms are clean and quiet. Although my room was close to the lift, I couldn’t hear any noise. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would consider to choose this hotel again next time.

The time for breakfast is too short. It would be more convenient to travellers that the hotel can provide toothbrush, toothpaste and spoons in the room.

This was my second stay at the hotel after a brief checkout period to visit elsewhere. I chose to return to this hotel as I enjoyed its amenities, location, quietness during my first stay. Special mention to check in staff member Sandy who enabled us to check in earlier this second time.. In an earlier review I mentioned about the design of the room that there is a sink in the corridor area within the same enclosure with the bedroom. This room I stayed in was the same design. Now this is not a negative. It's just the design of the room, just that those who wish to shave in the sink area would have to contend with essentially shaving in the bedroom area.This is not a negative for me as I was able to work around this. Breakfast options were reasonable as well. Hotel located close to subway station and also there's an ATM in the hoteI, handy for those needing cash. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay in it again.

Where the property was situated meant there wasn’t a variety of shops facilities nearby!

Not far from central Seoul

Not much to dislike about this since it is more of a design issue of the room we were in and could be the same for all rooms but here I'm writing only about my room. The sink itself is located inside the main bedroom area along a corridor. It is not located in a closed area within the bathroom space, like one would normally find. For those who normally shave over the sink area, they will be doing so essentially within the main bedroom area.

The location of the hotel was convenient to many area restaurants and to the big shopping mall. The breakfast was quite good with many fresh selections. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was adequate.

We did not dislike anything about the hotel.

I really enjoyed the bathroom , which was immaculate . I had fresh towels everyday. The hand soap and body wash had a really pleasant fragrance. The beds were very comfortable , managed to rest well. Room service was very punctual and the food I ordered was beyond delicious.

There was no sugar or spoon for the coffee/tea in the room.

Great location. Walkable to Yeouido Park the The Hyundai Seoul and right in front of the subway station. Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. Great value for the price we paid

Great comfortable and clean rooms. Staff super friendly to help with anything that was needed - including adding boiling water to cook some rice cakes. Location super close to a subway stop.

Location is not super central to the touristy areas but still very close to subway stop. You would almost always have to take subway to get anywhere. If you wanted to have late night dining, options were extremely limited.

Nice neighbourhood and nice location. Very easy to get there by direct bus from airport. Staff were very friendly and kind, room spacious, clean and very quiet. Bed extremely comfortable! I tried also the breakfast (buffet) and there were plenty of options, food quality very good!

There’s nothing I didn’t like.

The rooms were classy, comfy and the beds were superb! It is a really nice hotel with a great breakfast and nice staff. The location is OK, notice that you are in a business area not close to major sights for tourists.

Cleaness, value for money

Location is excellent, especially for the person who comes from GMP airport. Subway station is just in front of the hotel and have elevator on exit. And there are many nice restaurants!

I can not find any things negatively evaluate this hotel. I always choose this accommodation for stay in Seoul. And I guess they have another hotel in Seoul, I would like to try another one.

Very comfortable room. The staff were always friendly and helpful. They also had some staff who have very good English language skills which made communication easier. Bicycle storage is available but advisable to bring your own sturdy lock. The hotel was able to store luggage between stays if cycle touring. Located near bus and subway for easy access to city. Location is very close and convenient to Seoul to Busan cycle path and bike hire facility.

Care of the details and the overall quality of structure, rooms and spaces

The room was quite big, bed was comfortable, had a the things needed. Very nice that the shuttle airport bus stop it’s just in front of the hotel!!

Quite expensive. The area is really good connected (metro and bus stations are just in front of the hotel door) but it’s a little bit out of the main attractions of the city

The staff at the front desk is very kind and helpful in every aspect. If Yeouido is one of the areas you target, this is the best place to stay.

Rooftop was closed for renovation. The fitness center was not too standard.

Close to metro. Clean. Everything is in good condition, maybe new.

A little bit inconvenient to get the city center.

Highly recommend to take all your precious belongings with you. My suitcase code locker was broker after one of the first cleaning of the room.

The staff was so lovely! The location is really good, next to the metro station and near one of the top cherry blossom locations in the city. It’s very clean as well.

The standard room was in need of renovation. Many room elements were just worn out. I also came at a time when a protester was blasting his opinions from 7:30am each day for 2 weeks of my stay, it was a bit tiring. If you’re sensitive to noise like me, I suggest bringing earplugs.

The reception staff, Jenny was super helpful and accomodating for our stay. The staff are very professional, and polite. Thank-you for having us.

Location was very close to the National Assembly station with convenience stores nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful.

The room was a bit dark if you need to do work from the desk. Some small plates or cutlery would be useful for having snacks/fruit in the room.
