Sorrento Hotel, Seattle

Preferred if breakfast was available at 6:30AM

Decent-sized room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous. Was able to use hotel's equipment to print out boarding pass. Reasonable room rate for prime location.

Inadequately-functioning, stand-alone heating unit. Set thermostat at 75°, but unit blew cool air. Was a bit chilly under the circumstances (55-60°?), but too late (at bedtime) to be worth making an issue.

Historic hotel thoughtfully renovated and decorated. Mattress great. Bathroom marble with long soaking tub. Food in hotel restaurant excellent. Loved the wood-paneled lounge with fireplace and live music. The service was very attentive.

The TV was an old model that we could not plug our Roku into.

I liked everything about this hotel. The facility is an old, stately hotel. The staff was amazing. The location was perfect for my needs.

The first two nights, I was in a room that faced out on construction work on the front of the hotel. Mmy room window faced, and was covered by scaffolding and shade netting! 😮 My price for the room was not decreased because of this, nor was I warned about it when making a reservation. I was very disappointed. I had to extend my reservation another day as my husband was being kept another day in the hospital. The third night there I was put in another room, on the same floor. What a difference! If only I had had a choice with the first reservation. 😞

Loved the history and attention to detail of the hotel. Our room was nice and the location to the bakery was fabulous! Easy to drive to the Pike’s Market area and play around. HATE the ridiculous prices for parking in Seattle - way out of hand and will be a factor in the future. The fireplace in the former Hunt Club area and woods were part of the reasons I wanted to stay at the hotel. Absolutely worth seeing all of the area inside.

The noise level from outside was not good - it took a while to relax with all the sirens and people arguing on the walkways. Wishing there had been a way to stay outdoors a bit more - sad the “garden area” was not being utilized.

If your into paranormal this is a great place 4th or 5th floors

it’s a lovely hotel where we stayed after our wedding in 1989.

the restaurant was very average at best. parking for the night was outrageous. city construction made accessing the hotel about impossible, and we are locals.

Need to upgrade curtains to be able to open/close and be the blackout type for light and sound especially. Also provide mini fridges in thr rooms.

The huge table in the room was sticky, everything stuck to it, dishes, papers. I cleaned it twice with a damp towel. No improvement , it was like the table was refinished and the finish didn't dry completely.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was challenging to get the right temperature but was clean and nice.

I love the feel of this classic, elegant hotel. Very clean and appropriate updates. The bedding is so comfortable, and the bath and shower were newly renovated. We enjoyed our stay.

The valet overnight parking seemed a bit steep, but I’m sure it’s a difficult place to find safe, street parking.

I was appreciative that we were seated right away in Stella’s for dinner even though they were having an event. However my dinner was meh. I ordered scallops. I would like to go back and try something else to give another chance..

This is such a cool old hotel. We love staying here.

A little too much effort to try and be fancier than the property. Nice outdoor seating for restaurant but the food was too designer style. Fancy presentation but smaller portions. So you pay more for.less food.

Our room was clean. Loved the coffee machine. Every staff member we interacted with was exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel comped us the parking fee for one night because of the noise issue.

entry is always really beautiful. The rooms are real nice but need some work cosmetic. The shower was great and there is a great bakery just up the street called Sugar Bakery.

The room could have had the heat on and warm before entering the room. Hand towel was frayed a bit.

Restaurant Stella for breakfast, rug in the elevator stated the day so it is changed every day. The books in the room were amazing. Very nice bed too. Oh the lotion is so good as well.

The noise in the streets below, everywhere, it is under construction.

The historic building is beautiful inside and out. Our room was huge and very comfortable, especially the bed! The location could not have been more perfect for our purposes.

The tub and toilet part of the bathroom was beautiful, but cold. The sink area lacked a towel bar.

Beautiful old hotel that's been kept up very well. Beds are comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower, always a bonus! We stayed the night after a "silent reading party" which was a really fun night out for two book lovers. Staff is always kind and acommadating.

Would a appreciate a few more plug strips or USB hubs in the room.

Property was elegant, comfortable and had great bar and dining. Jazz night was great and all staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a little away from the main attractions and there were only 1 or 2 bars nearby

It’s in a beautiful, old building. The room was huge and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The elevator kept breaking down and needed to be reset several times during our stay, so we were walking up and down the stairs a lot, including when we checked in with our bags. The staff was kind enough to help us upstairs with our bags. The air conditioning in the room was loud and didn’t really cool the room enough.

Great room, nothing bad can be said about it.

After a long travel day, we wanted to eat at their restaurant and avoid running around to find food. We've rushed thorough the city to get there on time, because they told us the restaurant closed at 9pm and they accept walk-in till 8.45pm. We arrived there right at 8.45pm. Ok, maybe it was 8.45pm and 30 SECONDS. They turned us away because the restaurant manager said "I just set the last customer at 8.45pm, so no, we won't seat you. You can come back tomorrow night if you want to." This is regardless from the fact that we pointed out we were guests at the hotel. I'd be fine with that if it was a cheaper kind of hotel, but after spending $350 PER FREAKING NIGHT, that's not the kind of welcome you expect.
