Palazzo Doglio Hotel, Cagliari

Lovely renovated or restyled classical building with an enclosed courtyard containing restaurants and shops. Nice external bar and breakfast area. Very buzzy in the evenings. Room excellent with superb shower! Very helpful staff throughout who responded to requests quickly. Good breakfast food. Coffee excellent.

The location is slightly away from the livelier areas such as Marina where the bars & restaurants are or the old citadel area, but it’s only 15 mins walk. The hotel let us down on an airport transfer that didn’t turn up, but they offered to pay our taxi fare. TV didn’t work during our stay but again they deducted 50 euros from the bill which was very good.

It was a great stay. Room was super clean and trash was emptied very often. Room is quiet and size is good. Employees are super nice and helpful. There are restaurants inside the hotel area. We did not have a chance to try but it seems nice.

The hotel is so beautiful and the staff is excellent. Loved the breakfast too. so well organised, clean and very comfortable.

There was no iron in the rooms. They would give you a small steamer upon request which was very time consuming and not so effective.

Staff very professional and friendly. Hotel and the piazza that the hotel is part of gives a good selection of restaurants (5 or 6). Location quiet but still a only a short drive from Cagliari centre and the port area. Room comfortable and quiet with a good sized terrace overlooking the inner courtyard. Only stayed one night but can't fault any part of the experience. Valet parking available (around 20 euros per night) and public parking within walking distance of the hotel. If staying longer it would probably be a good base to explore Cagliari Old Town and the port area.

Not really a dislike but make sure you use sat nav to get to the hotel if driving. Quite a number of turns up side streets from Cagliari centre to reach the hotel.

Beautiful property. Just enough of a hike from town center to work off the dinner and gelato. Staff was great. Great breakfast, a lot of dining options on property and close by.

For a 5 star hotel there could have been a bit more attention to cleanliness of floor and shower.

I highly recommend booking the Suite category – it’s exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed, and offers a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The atmosphere of the hotel is refined yet welcoming, with great attention to detail in every corner. The entire staff was outstanding – extremely friendly, genuinely helpful, and highly professional, always going above and beyond to make the stay special. Service felt personal and warm without ever being intrusive. A great bonus is the secure garage for parking, which is wonderfully convenient and only €20 per day – a real plus when staying in the city center.

Diner in the restaurant; good food but waited 1,5 hour for main dish and cancelled it an went away. Music on the square to loud and bad choice of music. Room was very small but high quality

This location is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is vast & delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly. We arrived early morning as we were leaving an AirBnb with roaches. We were exhausted & frazzled but the staff took our things to our room & brought us to breakfast. Changed the entire trip!! We are so thankful for Palazzo Doglio!!!

Staff are exceptional at this hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Great location, easy walk to restaurants / bars / historic sites. Room was great, balcony was huge. Bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was so extensive!!!

They should have more people preparing coffees at breakfast time (or more coffee machines). Very good breakfast buffet food, but coffees always arriving late (literally at the end of the breakfast), and other guests having similar experience.

Room is specious, comfy bed, large bathroom and nice interior. Hotel is beautiful and restaurants inside it serve delicious food especially pizzeria "Mairoi". The staff was friendly especially the consierge.

We reserved a deluxe family room that should come with the additional sofa and should be larger in size but we got a regular one that in general costs less.

Excellent breakfast every morning in their restaurant with a choice of indoor outdoor seating. The hotel and the outdoor areas were all very clean and well maintained. The rooms were exactly as indicated on the website and we had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the hotel square which was serviced twice per day and was immaculate. The choice of restaurants and quality of the food and service was excellent.

Excellent stay. Would highly recommend this hotel. The building is so grand and beautiful. The staff were very helpful especially the concierge Gianluca!! The restaurants in the square were also excellent and lots of choice.

Little bit of snobbery at the reception when we arrived as of course we had driven 200 miles so weren’t in class clothes or clean- we were tired - there was just a bit of judgment going on with three men behind the counter - we did not appreciate that - Their attitude changed the moment they saw our car - which sort of confirms the snobbery

Very nice room and great options for food around the hotel. Probably the nicest building and complex within Cagliari.
