Palazzo Doglio Hotel, Cagliari

The hotel is beautiful with great facilities. We had a fantastic massage in the spa. The food was amazing and all staff were friendly and helpful but a special thanks to bar manager Damiano.

It wasn’t possible to manually adjust the temperature in the room and had to call Reception for them to do it. That was a bit inconvenient as the room it very hot at night

Absolutely loved it! Fantastic staff- reception, breakfast, cleaning team- we’re all most helpful, professional and friendly. Property is great and has everything you need- you basically can stay at the hotel and have a great time without going out. Really good breakfast- small but has everything one might need, super comfortable room- nice mattress, spacious bathroom and a little balcony. Will definitely stay there again should I ever go back to Cagliari!

All was great. The only little thing that was out of ordinary is that use of spa facilities for hotel guests is not included in the accommodation fee.

Finally a hotel that offers the standard they communicate (not easy to find in Sardegna).
You will pay for it, but therefore will find a clean room and bathroom, everything worked, communication is easy and efficient, friendly staff, nice location, parking with hassle and a calm and relaxing ambient.
on top: spa and wellness area that is spacious and clean and a good equipped gym.

and most important for me: rooms are proof sound! there is nothing worse than hearing all the others around you coming and going and doing: won't happen here :)

Second time staying at Palazzo Doglio. We had good memories the first time so we returned. The service is still very good (esp front desk and concierge) we appreciate the help given by Gianluca and colleagues for dental, hair saloon recommendations and booking appointments. Restaurant stuff (especially Giorgia) is full of smiles and attentive. The lady masseur is good. Highly recommend.

Now the negatives - the hardware is starting to break down somewhat. The room phones don’t work, Aircon cannot be controlled or turned off …
The restaurant food is hit and miss. We had the fregola which was good but the Ombrina (fish) came rock hard. Told the manager and they “recooked” another fillet which was more tender but the inside was raw. I had diarrhea after.

We really liked everything about this property!! It is beautiful and luxurious and a sensational value for the price. The free breakfast is incredible and the staff are wonderful! We loved interacting especially with the concierge Gianluca and also with Paolo at the front desk. Gianluca is a wealth of knowledge and really fun and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and the bathtub is huge! Convenient location and the hotel is like a triangle around a wonderful vibrant courtyard with shops and restaurants. 10 out of 10!

Just to help with others looking at this property: We had a city view room which just looks at the building across a noisy street. The courtyard view has larger patios overlooking the area with the restaurants. This is not a dislike but rather to provide more information.

This is a beautiful place on a gorgeous square. The room was large and accommodating. Our own terrace was lovely. Front desk personnel were friendly and provided guidance to restaurants, etc.

The prices of the restaurants in the square were over the top, and we are used to NY prices. Also 1 snarky man who helped with luggage. I was told by front desk I should take a luggage cart up to my room at departure and then was scolded by this man. He was unpleasant.

From the minute i walked in from a very long drive I was greeted with a smile and felt at home. The staff was wonderful during my whole stay. I will definitely be back!!

Beautiful hotel in a chic area of the city. Not very central, but if you don't mind walking (15-20 mins) it is a good choice. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and all the facilities you would expect. Reception staff were welcoming and very efficient. The hotel concierge researched and booked a walking tour for us which was excellent and also recommended some great restaurants. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and served outside in the square.

The pigeons in the breakfast area constantly flying onto surrounding vacated tables are a nuisance! Not the hotel's fault per se, but it really detracted from our breakfast experience.

I have booked this hotel on behalf of my parents as a suprise trip! The communication with the team pre-&post arrival was flawless & very professional! Everything was done in order to spoil them in all ways! My parents loved their spacious room with balcony, highlighted the service of concierge & front desk & really enjoyed the big breakfast buffet! They went to the spa every morning for a swim: perfect start. Location was simply the best to explore the city. Massive Thank You to the whole team for this great & unforgettable stay! They will come back & I have to come too ;)

We loved everything , it is a fabulous property. The rooms are beautiful, all the staff are wonderful, in the restaurants, the wellness centre, reception and cleaning staff. Being able to step out of your room and have everything you need helps to make a great holiday.

Silent air conditioning and very quiet in the rooms generally. House staff were excellent with water and coffee in the room topped up regularly… and surprisingly often. Staff friendly throughout and a good breakfast selection. Could have done with some complimentary nibbles in the room. Breakfast had a supplement for things like Eggs Benedict which always seems off to me. Very clean and well kept throughout.

€50 per person for use of the spa, come along, at least give guests one complimentary entry with their stay. A family of 4 €200 for a 90 minute dip, get real.

Lovely renovated or restyled classical building with an enclosed courtyard containing restaurants and shops. Nice external bar and breakfast area. Very buzzy in the evenings.

The location is slightly away from the livelier areas such as Marina where the bars & restaurants are or the old citadel area, but it’s only 15 mins walk.
The hotel let us down on an airport transfer that didn’t turn up, but they offered to pay our taxi fare. TV didn’t work during our stay but again they deducted 50 euros from the bill which was very good.
