L’Hotel PortoBay, São Paulo

Incredible staff that did everything they could to make us comfortable. The hotel is clean and very well located. Easy access to great restaurants. The area felt safe. They compensated us for our problems by not charging one night but I was expecting to have a proper 5 star experience, not a cash back.

We stayed at what was supposed to be the best room in the hotel. We wanted all the family in the same room and this one suited our needs perfectly. When I arrived I noticed the room was extremely hot, but I assumed it was because the air conditioning would only be turned on after occupying the room. The reality is that the air conditioning was malfunctioning, and even after several attempts by the maintenance staff they could not solve the problem. They mentioned that because of the holidays the problem would only be fixed the day after our departure. There was no other room of the same configuration available so we had to stay there for 3 nights during the Brazilian summer. It was hot, humid and we could barely sleep. It was truly uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the drains in the main suite were partially clogged and water would not be properly drained in the sink and shower. I'm posting this feedback in the hope that the management team fixes these problems, because the staff was very helpful in such hard circumstances.

L’Hotel PortoBay is located in the heart of São Paulo’s business and cultural center with attractions within an easy walking distance. The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. The rooms are impeccably clean.

The elegance of the architectural style of the hotel may interest some, but it does not remotely compensate for having been given a twin room located next to 2 elevators, and with an adjoining door to the room next door. The noise from the elevators was endless and vibrated through to the room and pillows. It was impossible to get any sleep. Also, the adjoining door allowed all the noise to penetrate into our room. The air quality in the bedroom was close to being toxic, and we both had difficulty breathing normally. Opening the two small fanlights let in some fresh air but also the noise of traffic from one of São Paulo’s busiest areas. We were so exhausted the following morning that we were obliged to cut short our stay by a day, and left that morning. Aside from these difficulties, we found the hotel soulless and rather dated. We shall not be staying there again and certainly would not recommend the hotel to friends.

Workers, spa facilities, water in the pool dirty, sauna with no lights, reception very ignorants.

The hotel’s atmosphere is classy and comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful and cordial. The rooms are quite well lit and the bathroom is spacious and clean.

The pool is modest and some small details show the hotel’s age.

L'Hotel Porto Bay, is so fabulous with high level standard. The breakfast, dinner was great with everything and more. The chef knows how to prepare exquisite cuisine. The hotel treats every guest like it's a 6 star, if there's such, with royalty;they go the extra mile to please guests. They even assisted with resolving a matter with a shuttle service that wanted to double charge us. They are so accommodating even with the language barrier, one still feels at home. It is indeed a home away from home.

It is a small luxury hotel that provides excellence.

The personnel was very friendly and helpful (from the housekeeping, front desk, concierge, waiters etc). You deserve your 5 stars for this level of Service. The room was super comfortable (I have taken a pic of the pillow to get the brand), with a nice view. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice of fresh products. All this 2 minutes away from Paulista Avenue

Connecting the TV with my phone was a bit complicated. Maybe give the smart TV adapter the number if the room to help choosing the right device to associate :)

Excellent! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location is perfect (a few steps from Paulista Avenue, where you have transportation, restaurants, and banks, the staff is friendly and kind, and breakfast is fantastic.

It's pricy. Many options around this hotel are cheaper, so if the price is a worry to you, then this is not the best option. But they deliver value.

Everything was perfect.

We travelled here in an Uber from the airport and had a friendly greeting from the hotel concierge, and offered a drink on arrival. Room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was beautifully presented. We enjoyed a little luxury during our stay in Sao Paulo.

The rooftop pool felt smaller than in the booking.com photos. We were asked to complete details prior to arrival electronically, however on arrival we were asked to provide these details again on a paper form.

it was rhe 3rd time at this hotel. we love the place, good rooms and the staff are so nice. we’ll be back always we go to Sao Paulo.
