Grand Hyatt Union Square, San Francisco

The location is great and the hotel is very clean. The beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. The offerings at breakfast were fresh and tasted great!

At the price point, I wish the breakfast offering for the buffet included kosher/halal meats, and just more offerings in general. Also for the same reason (price point), which there were more/better coffee offerings.

The location is top, and very close to most places you'd need to visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful, The amenities including the bar and fitness centre were above par. The lady at the Concierge was very helpful with my itinerary too.

There were these protesters outside the front door of the hotel between 0800 and 2200 hours, daily. With their loud banging and noise, there was not a moment's peace. The hotel did little to nothing to mitigate this, or provide us with any compensation.

The staff was very friendly particularly the lady at Concierge who helped me with some local tips. and decent amenities like the bar, breakfast, room service, housekeeping, and even the fitness centre. They were all above par.

there were protests outside the hotel daily between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM which really ruined my stay in some parts. I wish the hotel had done better to mitigate or compensate.

Nothing to complain about other than the fact we didn't get the room we requested. However - skyline view was possible from the fitness center on top floor so that's fine with us at the end of a day.

Workers on strike making SO MUCH noise, we could hear it on the 30th floor. Restaurants/room service in the hotel not available due to striking workers. Breakfast Buffet was good but waaaaay over priced.

Staff wasn’t the friendliest, employee strike protesting in front of hotel.

Friendly helpful staff. Except for final day that workers were on strike. Inside staff at checkout did not seem as knowledgeable or efficient as previously at check in.

Bed/mattress & linens were very comfortable, however pillows were not. Air unit was quite loud & ran a lot even tho temp was not set that low.

Breakfast was excellent, especially for the American standards

There was a strike of the hotel personnel. But it did not spoil the overall impression

I had been working with Elaine at the Concierge Desk for weeks planning my stay. It was our 13th anniversary and I wanted to make it memorable. Elaine was wonderful! We corresponded mostly via email. A few times we spoke via phone. Bottom line, she coordinated the dozen roses I requested in addition to the rose petals that were made in the shape of a heart. My wife was blown away by how thoughtful I was in planning our anniversary getaway. However, it was Elaine’s amazing skills that pulled it off. Upon arrival, I went to the desk to thank her personally, but unfortunately she wasn’t there. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to Elaine and her world class customer service. I can’t think of anything I did not like.

Location was amazing , in the middle of union square , two minutes walking to the Chinese city, two minutes walking to Macy , two minutes walking to cable cars , fabulous location, Staf was super friendly and welcoming , smiling and very helpful

Breakfast Buffet had very limited options, four hot dishes, two out of them are pork , doesn't worth the 40 dollar at all, lots of breakfast better options nearby.

Valet parking is very expensive, nearby parking are cheaper. There are some areas of the hotel (like the rooftop) that you cannot access unless you’re member or something, not cool for what we paid! Be careful when you walk around the hotel which corner you turn, the “tenderloin” area is next to it with lots of druggies and homeless people…

Restaurant is good but few choices of main dishes

Safe, clean, and comfortable stay.

The buffet area is so small and they don’t have enough staff to properly handle the amount of people that line up. It’s also $36 per person. We used the 20% discount you get if you do pay the travelers fee but it was basic breakfast.

Location and view of skyline was exceptional. My boys loved the fitness centre while my niece and her boyfriend loved the Hotel Bar

We were here to see the SF Giants game and were bummed that we could not see any of the pregame hype or watch part of the game as we got ready to go to the ballpark. The Hotel Bar tried to help us but they could not give us any sound. Instead we had to take in the NY Yankees vs Boston Red Sox game in our room as we got ready. While this is a great game, it does nothing to help get local excitement going. We are in San Francisco so can we see the local team play?

Breakfast place is too small and servers were not patient. They charged an extra fee because our family was too big (?). The shower was terrible.

When I arrived and pulled up to valet parking, the two gentlemen working valet just stood and looked at me. I had to go to them to ask for them to valet park my vehicle. They seemed shocked. This was confusing for me…. I drive a Porsche.
