Whimsical, clean comfortable bed luxurious bedding and towels- everything was luxe! I was upgraded with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge

The room smelled good, for me that is always important. It was clean, everything worked well, the stuff was amazing, and they have nice rooms with best quality and a comfortable bed. the location was good.

The location, the size of the room and comfort of the bed were excellent.

We had breakfast in our room and despite the size of the room there was very little space for the breakfast tray. I would be good if the hotel offered a kettle in the room for guests who do not drink coffee. The breakfast tray remained outside our room for over 24 hours. The breakfast order was incorrect every morning (4 times). We have also had to query charges and discounts offered on check out invoice 3 times. However, despite these niggles we would recommend this hotel and stay again if we visit San Francisco again.

Hotel itself is beautiful. Beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Reception area is fabulous with gorgeous open fire. Blue Mermaid hotel resturant and bar serves fabulous food for a good price. Staff were all very helpful, particularly housekeeping staff so friendly and polite and doormen who are so helpful in advising and getting transport for you. Excellent location for days chilling out in fishermans wharf and pier 39 area.

Would have been good if hotel resturant/bar stayed open later at night as with location of hotel there is no where local open later in evenings to get a meal or drink. As a family of adults this was an issue.

The parking was $50. Would’ve been wonderful if it was included but I understand we are in San Francisco and everything has a price :(

Very quiet and comfortable. For being such a busy/noisy area during the day, it’s very quiet at night.

Public transit from the airport BART/Muni will get you right to the hotel, but the street trolley from Union square takes a while, because there are long lines of tourists wanting to ride that line for photo ops, etc.

Very comfortable bed but very high! Location just across the road from the cable car was excellent. Very good breakfast. Attentive staff.

Dinner menu was not to our taste. Too fancy and all we wanted was plain simple food.

Location and cleanliness plus it’s so solid, the rooms are soundproof.

Full lounge area, no dressing gowns or slippers provided, very small bathroom with ancient shower.

My only gripe is no shower robes but everything else’s was perfect would highly recommend

aside from all the hotel anemities that were included such as the free museum, restaurant located directly next to the lobby. + large cozy facilities in the lobby. this hotel was conveniently walking distance to the pier and many other tourist attractions. I highly recommend anybody stay here. + I would definitely book again at this hotel

Location Location Location the perfect place for sightseeing situated right next to Fishermans Warf. Room decor was cool and it was clean & comfortable. We also ate in the restaurant at the hotel the Blue Mermaid, which was good, the staff were great here.

Was OK for the money, comfortable, and the atmosphere was chilled too, the staff were ok.

Mermaid restaurant, the staff were horrible, so bad that I had to talk to the manager after my stay. They were rude, obnoxious, and offensive. I insulted my name. It was like they had an attitude problem. They were just ignoring me, I had to ask 15 times for food, they staff running around like headless chickens. Although the chef seemed OK and the food was very nice, I was given an heart felt apology by the manager, but the damage was done. I've never heard of customer service so bad.

The location was excellent and the room was great. We had 2 queen beds with a view and it was very comfortable.

Arrived in San Francisco and stopped by the iconic Buena Vista Cafe when we noticed the Argonaut Hotel. Firstly, I tried to phone twice in order to learn about rates and availability -- no luck reaching staff on the phone. So I had to use my phone and a third party App called Booking.com to find a room and then book it, which I did. Went over there soon after and checked in. Nice staff and great room. Nice breakfast the following morning. Hope to stay again someday.

The hotel is located at the end of Fisherman's Wharf, an absolutely amazing location close to everything. The cable car station is directly cross the street from hotel, Pier 39 (and other piers) are reachable by walk in few minutes. Hotel and rooms have an unique atmosphere created by well-selected furniture and equipment. Definitely recommended!

Nothing to mention here as a negative. It took me a while (and few circuits around the hotel) until I found the parking garage, but it was just my misunderstanding, the valet staff will guide you in case you'd like to self-park your car (and save some money).

Drinks service was a little unfriendly/erratic from the guy in the suit (possibly the manager). However the waitress saved us!

Understandable that is a premium hotel, but asking 8 dollars for a water bottle (with no alternative) felt too much.

We had lovely, spacious rooms and the front desk staff were very helpful.

Our breakfast was not included so we ate at the hotel restaurant but found it very pricey.

Shower could have been more modern, more towels, each item that’s charged to room is then also taxed. Excessive taxes.

Rooms were a bit tight and we were switched to an inside room with no view other than a weird shaft. Also our room had a handicap bathroom which we didn’t ask for. Shower head was clogged and needed replacement. While maintenance were prompt to respond, they should have caught this before arrival.

Broken shower, amenity fee of $35 per day. What amenity? Parking $85 per night. Outrageous!
