Really great hotel. Easy parking, great rooms, amazing view, too restaurant with a stunning view. Will always prefer to stay here when in La Jolla. Easy walk to beach and restaurants.

Our room was newly renovated and sparkly clean. Although it was only on the fourth floor, the view was still amazing. Beds were super cozy. The elevators are currently being renovated and the wait is a little longer than usual, but manageable. Our incredible experience here was rounded out by friendly and helpful staff!

Rundown hotel with a mediocre renovation. They stuck me in an ADA room and would not move me to a normal room.

1) Great location, about 10-12 mins from the beach and 7-8 min walk to La Jolla strip of cafes/restaurants, easy access to key roads and the highway, 2) They offer a pleasant Sea & Sky restaurant on the 11th floor with great views of the surrounding area. 3) The waiting staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. 3) The room was comfortable with a nice large sized bed, a well-functioning A/C

1) Housekeeping were simply not up to the task with the bathroom barely cleaned while we were there, 2) The disadvantage of the location is that you do hear traffic sounds as you're so close to a busy intersection, 3) Parts of the hotel need an upgrade, e.g., one of the two the lifts (elevators) was always on the blink, 4) The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful, but the same cannot be said of others, especially the team at reception where service was patchy and many seemed relatively indifferent to their clients (e.g., we were not even asked how our stay was when checking out - they didn't seem to care!) 5) If you arrive late, i.e., after 9pm, be aware that there is no room service or housekeeping and, in fact, most of the restaurants around the area are closed. You would think the hotel would attempt to give guests some basic meal options. 6) For the prices charged, the quality of service and facilities overall simply do not stack up.

Great location. The staff was great when I checked in!

As I was checking out. The lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me. I waited about 5 minutes before she asked what I needed. I let her know I was checking out. She said, "You can leave your cards here." I asked for a receipt, and she then stated, "It will be emailed to you." I said, "No, I would like a copy." It seemed to be an inconvenience to her.

The room did not have enough blankets on the bed. The room was dark. The room did not have a working keurig coffee maker. Ever time I turned the coffee pot on the lights would go out in the room. Hair dyer broken. There was no information in the room about the hotel or the near by area. The balcony was dusty and dirty. No hot tub! Not streaming service. No food service. Just a semi decent room. Great location.

1 staff member was rude about the $25 destination fee. There was construction going on, so I'm not sure why we had to pay that. I also left a blanket in the room that was never turned into lost and found. I asked multiple times about it. No where to be found.

WORST experience ever...the Hotel decided after my stay to charge me an amount that was never informed to me. I had my room booked and prepaid via Booking.com and the hotel decided to charge me in adition. It has been two months since I'm dealing with the Hotel without any clear answer.

Nothing! I had one of my worst experience in my life!

The property is not providing the quality service of Hilton Standard, they charged us for a sea view room and we had a noisy room next to the highway. The property is next to the highway so be prepare to 24 hours a day car noise. They charged you for breakfast even though it is included in the package and they say that they give you 22 dollars credit and everything else is charged. They have very few things for this price. They do not have a buffet so is all a la carte. They do not clean the room unless you specifically asied for it. More than an hotel is like a low class motel service. The best thing you can do is staying away feom this hotel . There are much better hotels in la Jolla, sea view and no highway noise. I do not recommend it at all.

The front desk staff were especially accommodating and welcoming. Eric? Very helpful. There was a barman, Oscar I think who was also very kind and welcoming out by the pool.

I was surprised to receive charges for a resort fee of $25 and a parking fee I was not aware of before I booked my room. Those two charges increase the per night room rate to a level higher than I would have liked to have paid.

The rooms are comfortable and calm if you are on the ocean view.

Staff is not very friendly, it seems they were not hospitality-trained. Rooms are very old fashioned. There is no fridge in the room. They do not have buffet breakfast and the prices per meal are expensive. I paid 400 dollars per night for very poor service.

lobby and restaurant are adorable. the hallways are gross looking and the rooms are basic. our bathroom was dingy in the shelving and had a leftover bobby-pin from the last guest on the shelf.

The elevator is too old to work and makes a lot of noise. The light is flash so it makes me uncomfortable. The reception is really unkind to us when we ask for an alternative room. The bathroom lamp is broken. In summary，everything make us angry！

The room was DIRTY! The furniture old and falling apart

I liked the view of the ocean from our room. We had a corner room so it was quiet. The room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel was short drive to restaurants and shopping.

We had dinner there the first night and I must say it's a thumbs down. I ordered fish and I had to ask them to take it away after a bite - too bland, plain. And because it was raining the first morning we were there we had to get breakfast at the same restaurant. The server (female) was really rude and because I did not let her get away with her attitude she asked another server to wait on us. I asked them if I could have sliced tomato instead of potatoes and she said I'll have to pay extra. huh? Oh and not only that, when we got our orders it was still wrong, I didn't get my tomatoes yet were charged because they included it in the omelet. Please train your staff to listen and to be nice.

The rooms are a little bit dated, we were upgraded to a different room as the windows were dirty and the furniture had seen better days in our original room.

Looking and feeling jaded and tatty. One of the elevators wasn't working which is a problem in a 11 storey building. Little items like the lift buttons being cracked, the sliding windows in the room squeeking and drafty. Tiles in the bathroom old. The whole place is feeling its age and needs refurbishment. The staff were friendly and helpful but so casually dressed it was sometimes a shock. One was wearing a beanie hat one morning. It's not a problem but not very professional. The hotel bar and restaurant has really gone down hill. The food was OK. The bar man took ages with an empty bar. Then tried to fill my glass to the brim with rose. I had to stop him pouring. I think folks just go up there for the sunset which means the place is dead after 7pm. Maybe that's just La Jolla on a Thursday. All in all the place isn't a disaster it's relatively comfortable but it was a big disappointment after previous stays. Oh and who charges $39 a night for self parking when you can park 40 yards away for free.

The photos on their site is very misleading, you have to go to the 11th floor in order to see the ocean. No air, the room wasn't clean, the sheets on one of the beds was really nasty, dingy towels, I was moved to another room after about 2 hours, the young black lady at the front desk was rude, but another lady that had been there only 3 days assisted us in getting another room, the phone didn't work and the air was out so I canceled the rest of my stay and went to Grand Colonial the following morning which was cheaper, cleaner, amazing staff and food was great, we stayed in a villa over looking the Pacific.

great location near La Jolla shores. beautiful reception and pool area. rooms are spacious and tastefully refurbished. bathrooms are large and complimentary toiletries are of high quality. whilst housekeeping isn’t provided daily, new towels were bought to room swiftly when requested.

The location is top notch. Sunsets are amazing because you overlook the town and the ocean.

The parking lot was open for 90% of our stay there. It felt silly that we paid so much for parking and the access was very lightly guarded --meaning almost anyone could park there at any time (including very late at night)

We loved our stay here.. the hotel is so fresh and modern, the rooms are beautiful and the ocean view is stunning. It is positioned so nicely just off the water but within walking distance to everything. The beds & pillows were so comfy. Will definitely be back

There was a scaffold surrounding the building and noisy construction starting early in the morning so the ocean view rooms are ocean view but with an obstruction you cannot ignore. Our room was not acceptable in terms of cleanliness which was a bummer bc we had to wait for it to be cleaned.

Great staff! Very accommodating and goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

There were moldy strawberries when I checked into the room right under the bed side table which I saw immediately. The air conditioning either didn’t work or was really old, it was humid 24/7.

I loved how modern the rooms were, as well the hotel lobby & pool area! The front desk texts you to make sure you’re doing alright and enjoy the room, but when I brought up my concerns nothing was done except waiving the first night of parking. As if my room being dirty wasn’t enough.

The bed sheets were dirty and had crumbs, as well the balconies in our room were filthy and had all kinds of trash from the previous stay/ stays. Not to mention, there were things left behind from the previous stay, like a random box to charge your phone. The furniture was dusty, etc. We made do and had a lovely time, but we were definitely icked out. Our area of balconies were on the side of the hotel that was being renovated on, we didn’t get any views we paid for, just scaffolds and construction.

Due to construction/repair, there was scaffold outside our balcony and debris all over the balcony making the room dirty. The scaffold spoiled the feel of a ocean view room.
