Hostel The Yellow, Rome

The room was spacious enough for my friend and me, and overall it was a really nice stay! The shower was warm and relaxing, and the bed super comfy. The pillow could’ve been a bit softer, though. The hostel’s location is great — just a short walk from Termini Station, with easy access to the metro and trains.

My window view was of a garbage deposit in the central courtyard of the building.

Very close to Termini and metro stations. Two stops from the Colosseum and three stops from Trevi. The bar opposite the hostel was also very good. The staff were very helpful.

It's not good to charge for luggage storage. I think this service should be free.

The hostel is in an excellent location — just a short walk from the train station and walkable to all the main attractions. Room was comfortable and very clean and organized.

The check in took 15 minutes wait . Felt a little bit chaotic.

The restaurant is fantastic, the breakfast is great.

The room was clean and well maintained. Exactly as in the photos. They have socialising activities every night. They offer free pasta for dinner and one free drink at the Yellow bar right across the street. It was a nice surprise and fun experience.

A bit far from all the main attractions like Colosseum, Vatican, Trevi etc. Easier to take the metro to get to these places

Lots of space and nice well organised reception. Good size bunks in four bed dorm. Women only dorms. Private bathroom for each dorm.

Initially told over 45’s could not stay in dorms but this was changed as long as you accepted it could be lively. It was very quiet and oldies can deal with this!

Very friendly stuff, good location. Breakfast is perfect and keeps you full for the whole day. Safe and clean. Perfect for solo

As their own bar is directly under the windows it can get a bit loud in the night

They service pasta everyday, it is perfect. You have to be hurry because pasta finished quickly. Rooms are nice, if you are an extremely social you will love it in the bar

everyone and every single thing was sooo so good , the free stuff, the BAR OMG the activities the dancing and all of it sooooo amazing.

Very close to Termini station, it was clean and the staff was kind.

The bathroom was too small, not so cheap considering that it is a hostel.

Facilities were good, not modern but decent. The bar across makes the place lively. Staff were friendly. Vibe was good and was able to make some friends. The location offers dining places/ laundry/ groceries just steps away.

Location is quite sketchy at night, not really ideal to walk alone at night time.

Loved the vibe, cleanliness, the activities they organize every night and im most grateful for meeting so many amazing people in this place

The perfect hostel for a young solo traveller! Only 10min walk from the metro so it’s very easy to get around. The rooms had safes and lockers which was very handy as well. I love the Yellow Bar across the road, it’s such a good place to meet new people.

The bar was wonderful and the location is very close to the termini station.

The free pasta every evening was a very good way, especially for solo travellers on a budget, to eat and socialize. The planned events every night were awesome. The karaoke nights were the best. It's a good location and the bar is a great place to connect to fellow travelers. The kitchen was useful and the staff were very kind and helpful, especially for tips about Rome. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything was exceptional. The bar was also good, great way to meet people and make friends. I didn't expected to get free vouchers for pasta and a free drink, which was a pleasant surprise.

nothing! just don't forget to bring your own locket! the ones you can buy at the vending machine there are pretty faulty (indeed for just 2 EUR)

The rooms were awesome. Your own lock boxes, curtains, and was quite comfortable. Best hostel I have experienced. My roomies were awesome and it was very welcoming. Great way to meet other travelers.

Location near Termini is very convenient with easy access to transportation and restaurants. This neighborhood is great if you want to explore outside Rome, but not so convenient if traveling to the city for the first time and intending to see the major spots as it is far from the center. Room is spacious and comfortable and the place is very clean. I like that the room has its own bathroom.

The staff at the reception was very nice. They showed the way to the room and also described all the hostel events. Welcome drink.

The room was quite dark and could have had better lighting. The room was located above the bar of the hostel where the karaoke night was held. The wifi signal did not reach the room at all.

Rooms well maintained and comfortable. Staff pretty friendly whenever interacting with them. The room I stayed in had the same people from start to finish with all of us arriving and leaving on the same day.

Activities run by hostel to promote solo travellers meeting new people were a little expensive. It would have been nice if the hostel hosted some events that would let travellers explore the city nightlife rather than just the hostel bar.
