Good location and friendly staff

The noise of the other guests and different times coming in the room or late night

- Great location - Price is reasonable - Staff were friendly - a lot games if you want to socialise with others

- My socket at my bunk didn’t work, there was something stuck inside. - One of the bathrooms locks didn’t lock. - When someone opens the door to your open it makes a loud buzzing noise before entry and it wakes the whole room up. - the lights in the ceiling kept flickering.

Nice and clean place, the bedding was exceptionally pristine and the same the room and toilet. easy to check in and very convenient located. I didn't find the area bad for walking at night. I was on my own and perfectly walk everywhere at night.

My bed didn't have a USB port. i went to the reception to tell them as i didn't have a socket converter. they insisted there was one but there wasn't. Maybe there was one before but it was just a whole on the socket.

It’s located in city center and it’s easy to check all classic attractions by feet. Also the rooms are nice, the personel is great

The neighbourhood is questionable (but the hotel itself cannot influence this of course), no kitchen or kettle in the rooms (since it is a hostel, it seems usual to have a kitchen there)

Generator Rome was good. Nice location close to the train station and metro stop. Primarily residential neighborhood, so during the day there was lots of activity around, but at night became very quiet. Facility was nice and hallways never became too loud at night. Room was basic, but was good for the price and comfortable.

Room could have had shelf space or a dresser. There was no place to put clothes other than 5 hangers. There was no safe in the room. There was also no hand towel or wash cloth provided, just a bath mat and bath towel. Front desk staff in the morning/early afternoon was not the most friendly and seemed annoyed during the check in process.

Main floor and rooftop are amazing.

The hostel has no kitchen. The environment could have been better.

It was close to the train and metro station… the rooftop bar was good also

Bed length is tightened, if you open the bed from the leg side it would be great.

Fantastic location. Very well connected to public transportation. Rooms are clean and spacious.

AC temperature could not be controlled despite there being the buttons to control it. Hence the room was extremely cold at night

The location is in a sketchy neighborhood. Be careful walking there at night.

The place is nice and the environment is good. I especially want to thank the smart and kind Filipina lady (Ms. Philippine) for her patience and help.

However, I would like to raise a concern: there was a 4-hour delay after I made my online booking. I had to stay outside waiting for someone to check out before I could enter. That was quite inconvenient. Overall, I appreciate the service, especially the professionalism and patience of Ms. Philippine.

Location was great, a nice walk to the Colosseum although the walk back is uphill! Great facilities and comfortable rooms

Couldn't fault the staff, facilities and cleanliness - they were all fantastic. It's just the location that is less than perfect.

While its proximity to Termini is a plus, the actual location is a bit dodgy, with hassle from men on the street meaning women can feel unsafe / uncomfortable.

Reccimend but staff was bad

It would be good if they added curtains to the beds.

It was close to Roma termini station and convenient to catch the Leonardo train in the morning for a flight. Lockers felt secure. Security at the entrance in the evening. Everyone at the front desk was very nice.

Far from clean. I understand this is a hostel , but of all hostels I’ve stayed at in private rooms , this room was the dirtiest. Hair all over the shower, stains all over the couch/ cot. Really didn’t inspire confidence that things were ok under the surface. Wore socks on floor and flip flops in shower. People in the area harassing you the moment you stepped outside the building.

The location is wonderful, about 12 min walk to the Termini Railway station. It is maybe one of the cheapest choice for a single room in the very center of Rome. The breakfast costs 8 euros and I think it is worth its value.

The staff seem to be annoyed that they need to do this job, questions are not welcomed.

Generator Rome is quite the boutique hostel. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was modern, stylish, and welcoming — exactly what you'd want from a boutique hostel in the heart of the Eternal City. The location is super convenient — just a short walk from Termini Station, making it easy to explore Rome or catch early trains. Despite being close to a busy transport hub, the hostel felt safe and surprisingly quiet at night. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed with everything you need. I stayed in a shared dorm and really appreciated the privacy curtains, personal lights, and outlets. The en-suite bathroom was also a big plus — modern and cleaned daily.

Pricey for a hostel, not much of a social atmosphere, neighborhood isn’t the most charming, no communal kitchen.

No hay cocina

One of my favourite hostels i have stayed in. Very large, spacious room. Lots of space for 4 girls plus full length mirror and desk in the room. Good AC. LOVE that we had 2 bathrooms so you don't have to wait for someone to be finished in the shower if you need the toilet. Extra pillow provided when asked for one. Personal lights in beds plus USB socket and European socket. Lovely, friendly staff. Late checkout and early check-in for just 3 euros if you need it. Really good location, 2 minute walk from metro station but also walkable to major tourist sites. Also 5 minute walk from Termini.

No kitchen area to cook meals in (but a fridge, kettle, and microwave provided in small communal area). Very pricey. A little bit noisy sometimes because of the location (but you end up tuning this out).

nice beds, they offered privacy and they had the sockets handy, space in the room and not overcrowded, nice locks for you under your bed.

broken pieces in the bathroom, bad locks on both bathrooms in the room, the breakfast was very small and not accessible to gluten free people.

It is located within 5 min walk form train stations, the rooms are lovely, clean & have spacious bathroom.

It location is extremely dodgy, Despite being in close proximity with train station, the roads are deserted at night & questionable people roam in the area. The interior of the hostel is good & good for commute but certainly as a solo traveller I would avoid to stay in an area like this

I stayed in 6 ppl room for 1 night , the room is really wide and clean ,toilet is big not small

1- The street location is not nice, out side the street you feel uncomfortable and feel its not safe specially at night 2- there is no curtains in the bed

They didn’t make my bed, apparently you have to make your own bed, and if you want to leave your luggage after checkout, you have to pay to use the lockers.

Nice rooftop bar and pleasant personnel. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the room for 8 was quite spacious and equipped with two bathrooms. I would highly recommend this for anyone travelling on a budget.

The surrounding area is a bit untidy, perhaps due to closeness to the rail station and city centre, but nothing unbearable.

Location, walked to most places , about 90 of the staff was very kind and supportive.

However the Spanish man working as bartender in the rooftop bar was super aggressive and impolite. He lacks even the minimum education that is necessary in the hospitality industry.

Location is great, near train station and easy to get to key attractions. A great park nearby with lovely cafe to sit and watch world go by. The rooftop is lovely area to hang out in. I was just there 2 nights so it did what I needed. Nice friendly staff, good size rooms.

The bathroom doors didn't lock easily (or unlock once locked) so that needs to be fixed. And bathroom had few ants. They have paid lockers for luggage which was annoying as needed to leave bags for few hours. The lockers under tge bed didnt fit my case - ok to leave it out but might be annoying if there longer time. But mostly all good.
