The shared dorms were really spacious and clean.

Virtually no social atmosphere.

Staff was VERY friendly. Room was well equipped and VERY clean. Location was extremely convenient to Termini Station and affordable places to eat. 24hr staff was great. Easy entrance/exit system. I enjoyed my stay.

Storage Locker system did NOT work, ate my money and left me with no locker to store my heavy backpack (prior to check-in.) Very bad. Also, the bunk beds had some sort of mesh on the bottom that was very noisy every time someone got in/out of bed, or turned in bed. Disruptive to sleep. Location was in a slightly less desireable neighborhood, though I never felt unsafe.

The bathrooms are in the room. The room smelled of urine. I could barely sleep. Breakfast not worth the money.

I think the staff were very helpful and kind. I mistakenly booked a mixed room but since I am a Muslim I can't share a room with guys. But the staff really handled the situation professionally because I went there alone and if they just kicked me out Idk where to go. haaha

I just dislike that others use slippers in the room. I didn't know that and I didn't bring a slipper with me. I think the administrator needs to prepare room slippers to avoid dirt on the floor.

The market out the front was noisy from 5am with deliveries and set up each day - we learnt to close the window after night 1.

We had some issues with a rude dorm mate but the staff was really understand and professional. Lorenzo especially was a big help.

Great location, bar on site, 24 hour reception & pretty clean.

Our only complaint was we had to ask for extra pillows multiple times.

Every thing was good. Allowed check in before time. Location is about 10-15 minutes walk from central railway station. I understand that a metro station is also nearby but due to some maintenance activity, it was not operational during my period of stay. If you are vegetarian and like Indian food, then there is Bangladesh restaurant adjoining the hostel. You will find lot of Bangladesh residents in the area.

Towels are available for rent, not free. The price is slightly high for a hostel.

The staff was very friendly (the guy who checked us in was very handsome too) and helpful. everything was clean and very accessible.

Outside the property there are a lot of sketchy people watching to see if you look lost, I think to try and get you to give them money. Be very determined in your walking from Termini to the Generator. If you look like you have a Roman attitude they seem to leave you alone. If you look line a tourist you may have some trouble.

Room was good and specious. Amazing location and staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to make three new friends from my room (Jose, Marina & Mariel).

Noise from the outside was loud at night.

You know what you're getting with Generator. Does the job for relatively cheap prices.

You can end up spending more cash than you'd expect on add-ons, like lockers and towels.

Super cool hostel near Roma Termini Station, staff were great, room was clean and comfortable, everything was perfect for a few-night-stay in Rome 😊

its neat, clean and has good facilities overall. I did not face any issues during my stay (apart from people snoring heavily in my dorm at night)

outside the hotel you get a creepy vibe at night. Also personally I did not find restaurant that great in terms of food and was overpriced.

I found it expensive for a hostel, 70eur for a Tuesday night in a 6 bed dormitory !

Good spot. Near to the center of the city. Near to Termini train station.

The neighborhood is a bit trash in this days. Price is a bit higher.

Didn't like the location.. surrounding areas were not that good. Breakfast has no option of sandwich for vegetarians.

Confortable rooms, very helpful receptionist. Neighborhood doesn't look grate but it is close to train and bus stations, you can take around a 20 minutes walt to the Coliseum of Rome

Neighborhood not very touristic, the place does not have like a actually a social zone.

Location, the personnel, well maintained

This place is a great typical European hostel with some artsy vibe, a rooftop, students and bars. I like this type of stay, you can get to know some people, have a drink and hang out. The price was great as well as the distance from the city center — 20 minutes walk to Colosseum etc. The staff was super-friendly and overall I did enjoy my stay. The neighbors I had were very polite, the room was clean and it felt safe. None of us even put a locker on our stuff. I slept very well too. However, the district itself is a real ghetto 😃 be prepared for that. I don’t suggest to go out after 8pm, there are many shady homeless people doing dr*gs. Especially in the park next to the hostel. Just be careful. They catcalled me and also some are looking like zombies. It’s not the problem of the hostel — I don’t have any complaints — it’s the problem of Rome. Just don’t go out after the sunset, mark my words. Except of that — great value 👍

Location was pretty central. Easy to get from main station to hostel, sites and airport- you could also walk about 25 minutes to Colloseum! It was clean, spacious, quiet at night and staff were friendly and helpful

The location was close to the train station and the bed was comfortable. The atmosphere of the hostel was very good.

The air conditioning in the morning was not working well. It was hot at some times but bearable.

The facility was really clean and everything was perfect

There were no hair dryers in the bathrooms and the air conditioning was not regulated so it was cold at night.

The room was amazing big space and storage was also provided. The bathrooms were clean and tidy with proper facility.

Nothing that I didn’t like apart from the neighbourhood

Rooms are big, 2 bathrooms in the 6 bed room is a big big plus. Each bed has its own electrical plug and light, making it pretty comfortable.

Based on the "Generator" brand, I was really expecting more of this hostel. The fact that the beds don't have a curtain or separation is pretty disappointing when they have already a metal structure that could fit such very easily. The underbed chest lockers are OK but extremely unpractical... and btw, bring your own lock! The roof bar is a good idea but there were very few people. Staff is not really encouraging the hostel spirit. Location is just OK, but the area is not the nicest in Rome either. As all locations, it has its pros and cons. There's no free luggage room to leave your bags after check-out, but rather you're presented with a locker system where you have to pay for 1, 6 or 24 hours. After paying such a hefty fee for accommodation, I found this quite irritating.

Excelent people in the reception, the room was super tidy and clean. They’ve let us do the check in 20 minutes earlier because the room was ready. The beds were comfortable

The hot water did not came as hot as I would like. It was warm. And the bathroom in the reception area was not clean at all.

Practical location, new furniture, comfortable beds.

The location around the station can be a little dodgy, so attention is required.

Good location for public transport Friendly staff Rooftop

It is the first time I see an hostel without a proper kitchen. There is an area to eat but nothing to cook. The fridge is less than one meter of height and obviously it was fully packed so you can't really use it. The beds were comfortable but didn't provide any privacy

Location is good around Rome Termini Station, equipments inside as well as other generator hostels, easy to access public transportation and restaurants.

The price is too high for this level accommodation, maybe cause the season.

The rooms were nice. I liked the terrace, you can have a drink and meet other guests there. The breakfast was nice too

Sometimes the room was very hot during the night and it made it difficult to sleep.

I like the dual bathrooms and the privacy head panels on the bes.

I needed to rent towels. The four other hostels had it included. The bar time was not taken advantage of, nor was it advertised the one time I tried to attend.
