Sophie’s Hostel, Prague

We booked this place because it was our last day at Prague and we were leaving very early the next day. We were just looking for a place to rest and shower. The place was really cheap especially since I booked it the last minute. The location was also quite convenient. The reception was pretty nice. The bathroom was spacious and quite clean when I used it. Overall I would say it was worth the money I spent.

The room had no lockers. It would not be a problem for us since we were only staying for a day. The room had an unpleasant smell which I wouldn’t say it was their fault.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were very clean. For a 160 Czech Koruna, you can enjoy the all you can eat buffet that includes rolls, yogurt, salad, and spreads like cheese and cured meat. For slightly more you can also get hot food with the buffet. The hostel felt extremely safe and secure and I liked that we also had access to a nice kitchen. All around wonderful!

Not centrally located but not too far from the city. It's about a 20 min walk to the old town and further for other tourist attractions. Would still prefer to stay here than closer in the city since this part of town is not as crowded and Sophie's Hostel is a great hostel. Also, bring a towel if you can or you have to rent one! Not expensive to rent though.

Beds were really comfortable. Sometimes a little bit noisy when i turned left to right, right to left but it was okay. I’m gonna remember these pillows. They were soooo comfortable, I want to know which brand they were.

Elevator was broken and my room was on the 4th floor :(

The single beds and no bunk beds. The attached kitchen and bathroom for every dorm was something that I had never seen In any of the hostels and I loved the place. Good privacy.

Great location, not far from the city center and train station. The room I stayed in was well-organized, clean, and had its own kitchen and bathroom. The team at the reception was very friendly and always ready to help.

Sophie’s hostel was a fabulous place to stay. Amazing value, great location and staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was brilliant and really good value. Used the wellness spa at the sister hotel opposite which was amazing!

The buffet breakfast is tasty and is a good deal for money. The staff is very nice too! We had a problem with our room and a staff member (I am sorry I didn’t ask her name, but we are very thankful!) was very helpful and was able to find a replacement room for us quickly.

Everything was great! Good location, clean confiable beds, lovely guest vibe, nice helpful staff. I stayed in a 5-bed female dorm and everyone got to chose their own bed, first come first served basis. The room included a small kitchen and dining table, it was like our own little apartment. 10/10!

Convenient location, easy access by metro and tram, 15-25 minutes walking distance from the old town. Friendly staff. Quiet area.

We missed a lot some reading lights from the room. The floor is very creaky which is annoying when someone walks around the room and everybody wakes up because of the noise.

The wooden floor in the room was really squeaky and I'm sure I woken up everyone when I checked in at 3am. Other than that it was a nice stay.

I landed at 2 am and reached the hostel around 3. And yet I was well accomodated. I'm glad that they have 24/7 reception.

Coffee from coffee machine is garbage, the door to the room was a bit loose so closes a bit too loudly.

Everything was great. The rooms are really, really nice for a hostel. The kitchen and the bathroom attached to the room were super clean and modern. I loved my stay at Sophie’s. The 24hr reception is also really useful👍🏻🌟

Good location, in person reception all night, with good beers. Very affordable for the city. Very comfortable beds.

Bathrooms were ok clean, but I checked in late, so the cleaning must have been done hours before. Not a big deal for me. The check in process required me to write down all my information, while other hostels that I stayed only asked for my passport.

I stayed in a 5 bed female-only dorm. Bed was super comfortable, everything was very clean. Staff was super nice and available, they even helped me get my ring back that fell in the sink! Extremely flexible check in and you can store your luggage after check out. No complaints, everything was great! Just a heads-up, towels are not included if you are in the dorms, to rent them and other things (e.g. lock) you need to have cash!

The hostel is located in a prime spot, with all the major party venues and tourist attractions within a 2km radius, making it easy to explore on foot. The beds were very comfortable, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in early as my room was ready, even though the official check-in time was 3pm. Additionally, public transport options are conveniently close by, adding to the overall convenience of the stay.

Lift is under renovation and thus, had to take stairs. hope this gets sorted soon.

The location of the hostel was great, easy walk to everywhere but also in walking distance to transport. The room was nice, great to have a private kitchen. The beds were very comfy.

Didn't like how there was only 1 bathroom between 5 girls - some take longer than others in the bathroom and the other toilet that I knew of was on the bottom floor.

Beds are comfortable, check in and out is smooth, great breakfast and brunch options. There were great opportunities for events to interact with other guests.

Nothing in particular. The stay was overall a great experience there were virtually no negatives (other than a temporary lift closure) that significantly affected the stay.

We booked one of the apartments of the hostel. Beds were comfortable, the apartment was really clean and the kitchen was well equipped. So if like us you like to prepare some of your meals at home while travelling, the kitchen is really spacious and has all the amenities. The street is really calm since it is a bit away from the city center, but it is close to the metro C and to different tram lines and it was very easy for us to reach the city center.

This is surely not a long time issue, but during our stay the elevator was out of order. This was a bit of a problem for us because the apartment was on the 3rd floor and my friend had a broken leg so it was a real challenge for him to go up and down three flights of stairs.

The staff here are very friendly and every stuff are convenient for us. You can chat with them always help you.

My mattress wasn’t really secured into the bed, however it was still comfortable to sleep in.

Clean room, good lightning, clean bathroom.

Bathroom had both toilet and showers in. The detector for the light need to be moved somewhere else, it shuts the light off quickly and you really have to move to get it back again. So people just turn on another light 24/7. Also, the bathroom is never opened long enough for moisture and temperature to dissipate.

Staff is friendly, helpful and always available. Bathrooms and showers are well maintened.

There is no air conditioner, blanket was very thick, so it's super hot to sleep. There was no curtains and sleeping next to the window is quite noisy because it has to be opened since it's very hot. Also, for some reason my blanket when I arrived was still a bit wet which was very uncomfortable the first night to sleep in.

Breakfast for 160 Krona was delicious. The bar was a beautiful spot to hang out. Staff was friendly, very helpful. The 8-bed dorm a bit small, yet everything (also the bathroom) was modern and sufficiently furnished. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel and would return there anytime!

The people working there are unfriendly and you feel as a costomer more like a nuisance. The english breakfast for 220kc is quites small

The room exceeded my expectations - It was spacious and was even equipped with a kitchen. It was my first hostel experience and I loved it. Would definitely recommend.

It was reallllly loud at times during the day, it‘s probably because the rooms are not sound proof at all, but i could overhear whole conversations of the cleaning staff, it felt like they were standing right in my room

Loved the female only dorm, it felt like a self contained apartment with its own kitchen and bathroom. The staff come in to clean and vacuum daily so it’s extra clean.

It would’ve been great if the dorm had an aircon as it was a bit too hot in the room and the fan doesn’t help.

the staff was helpful all the time, the hostel was close to the city centre and the cafe/bar of the hostel is very lively

i stayed for one night only. it was okay but i wouldn't really recommend. pros: + everything was clean + bathrooms were really nice + great location + the hostel has a bar that has cheap prices for Prague

cons: - the check-in took so long. there was a queue. i waited for 15-20 mins and needed to fill down some paper - you get nothing except one bed. if you want a locker or towel, you need to pay for it in cash. - the beds are of poor quality. they're so light, they move a lot, and it's a bit difficult to get to upper bad since the stairs are not so good.
