Sophie’s Hostel, Prague

A wonderful stay! The location is central and very convenient. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was great.

I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff was so helpful. I especially recommend breakfast option it’s very good and cheap.

Breakfast was weird, the hot pan food that they served you out of the pan at the table (which seems to be their niche) was cold and had obviously been sitting in there for a while Would have preferred if it was just cooked to order The staff were helpful and friendly but a bit gossipy

Sophie's Hostel is an exceptional Hostel with the standards and cleanliness of a Hotel. They pay a very good attention to maintaining and keeping the facilities clean. It has an optimum location, less than 5 mins walk to the public transportations such as the I.P. Pavlova Metro Station; and within 20-25 mins walk to the Old Town Square, Prague 1 and most other center of attractions. The bar and breakfast room is nice and very welcoming. The staffs are very helpful, competent and friendly. The Staffs and Manager paid attention to my needs and made my stay very relaxing and comfortable. In addition, I met interesting and wonderful people who also lodged there and it made it all beautiful and very much fun :). I very highly recommend it.

The most important things were catered for. However, I can only suggest that in the future when renovation is necessary, the iron beds could be renovated to a wooden bed. And if possible, the kitchen space could be enlarged. Nevertheless, Sophie's Hostel has done an amazing job!

The breakfast was affordable and of great quality, full buffet, and the lounge area is incredible. The bathrooms were SO clean, and as someone who's been traveling for awhile thats one of the most important things in my opinion.

The staff were really nice and friendly. I really liked how the beds in the dorm had blockout light curtains.

Bathrooms could be cleaned more often or thoroughly if I was being picky.

When I arrived the staff were friendly and professional. Luckily the hostel is located in a small quiet street so I enjoyed peaceful sleeps. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless so I felt really comfortable. In the evening there was a nice social atmosphere in the cafe/common area to meet other travellers.

Can't really be helped but the floor in my room was really creaky so it's difficult to stay quiet in middle of the night.

The female dorm was really comfortable, all the other 4 girl were sweet and repected each others space and routine. The room has a separate bathroom and kitchen so it was super comfortable. Over all, quiet and close to the main tourist spots and bigger grocery stores are about 10-18 min walk away.

The kitchen has everything you might need except the basics like oil, pepper/salt for cooking, so you might need to buy it.

It was rather noisy.

The location is nice and near to metro or tram point. The condition of the bathroom is good and well maintained.

1. You won't get lockers like in other hostels. You get trunk to store your luggage for which physical lock is needed (which you can rent it out from desk). 2. Keeping and taking out things from the trunk might become noisy in late nights or early mornings. 3. The room area is a little less compared to other hostels, which may lead to ventilation problems and odour issues in multi bed dormitories. 4. Some of the rooms unlock key card do not work intermittently.

I stayed in the female dorm, and it's really comfortable, especially having a kitchen and an ensuite bathroom to be shared between 5 people.

My room was facing a main street and it was quite noisy all night, with all the street lights coming into the room. There's only 1 fan for the whole room, which is not sufficient for all the beds. Thankfully the weather was pleasant, but otherwise, it would have been quite unpleasant. The kind of roommates you get in a hostel is always a hit or miss... I had young, noisy ones, leaving lights on at night, slamming doors... But that's not the hostels fault.

Very friendly and lovely staff. Beds were great. Showers and toilets are kept clean. Good location, you can take the tram downtown if you don’t feel like walking. Hostel was, during my stay, very lively. I would be ready to pay more for a night in this hostel than they already change you for. Great hostel.

The hostel has the most amazing staff! They helped me with every issue I had. I want to say the receptionists managers were awesome. Also, the hostel had fun evening like games night every week, which was a nice way to meet new people.

The staff are very nice and friendly. Elena is super beautiful, helpful and warm, she even cooked free pancake for us. The room is surprisingly big and clean, there is even a kitchen for the room, bath room is also clean and nice. Great location, will stay there if revisit.

Reception was very helpful and attentive. They had activities in the hostel.

The guest kitchen was rather compact.

Guests and Staff were amazing. Really cute reception and aesthetic hostel in general. Clean restrooms and spacious bathrooms.

The only thing that was not up to my standards was that the room was so hot during the night that it was hard to fall asleep. Keep in mind for lower bunk beds, there are fans, but no AC.

There is no curtains in some rooms for beds. It is extremely uncomfortable and everyone just used their duvets to make their space more private.

Very lovely hostel to stay with. I liked the en-suite I stayed with kitchen and bathroom for 6 girls.

I adore this place! It is perfect, so perfect that I would go back, not to see Prague, but to stay here. Everything was great, location, connection of public transport.....excellent breakfast.... amazing place. I would compliment Zahir, the receptions, so nice and helpful and polite!!! The cleaning ladies as well, the kitchen staff and breakfast staff!!! Everything is perfect!

Super friendly staff. Good breakfast. Right by the tram line. The shower was very big which was great and the dorm was also pretty large.

I loved how the all woman dorm room was set up. To have the kitchen and bathroom separated from the beds (like an apartment) made it super convenient to avoid making noise while others were sleeping! It was so spacious too. Staff is so kind and helpful. The place overall, is very charming.

Everything was great. I don’t have complaints. My only suggestion would be to add a little carpet in front of the shower to avoid spreading too much water around the bathroom floor.

The place is cleaned top to bottom every day. Staff is really friendly and professional. 24/7 reception is always a plus. Beds were comfy, and the sheets were clean. 2 or 3 5-bed rooms shared one bathroom, but I literally never had trouble going to shower or whatever. The timed light in the bathroom was a bit odd, but there's a small light next to the mirror so that's okay. Location is excellent, literally anything you might need is a short walk away, as is the Old Town, and other attractions. This was my first solo stay in a hostel, so I had some concerns regarding sleeping with strangers, but everything was tip top. All in all I'm very satisfied with everything, if I'm ever back to Prague I'm coming back here.

The staff were all very helpful at all times, they helped you throughout your stay if need help from them.

It's hard to leave this hostel. It has everything you need. A social bar, great breakfast, friendly staff, lift, big apartment-type dorms. I can't fault anything!

Great room (apartment). We were only there as a couple but would've fit 5 people. Bathroom was excellent, a really great shower and small kitchenette which we didn't use but it was nice to have a fridge.

The location is amazing, city centered, was accessble to any places.

The hostel has a very good location, whether you want to walk to the historic center or use local transportation. In addition, the apartment is comfortable and cozy, better than expected.

One of the walls separating the bathroom from the kitchen is made of glass. We don't like it, was a little intimidating; maybe deshould have a curtain or the glass blocks should be darker.

there was a junkie in our room. he was drunk every night coming to room stinking alcohol and then snoring so loud, you can't ignore or sleep. not hostel fault but we 7 others suffered because of one person. towels you can rent here and get refund which is good. there is no wash gel in shower room that was disappointing

The hostel is really nice. The room and the bathrooms are clean. It’s around 15-20min to the center by walk . Easy to take the tram or walk form there.

It was a nice hostel, lovely staff, and the room was fine.

The bed steps to the top bunk were odd and a bit hard to get up, a bit.

Because there are no personal curtains, it’s easy to disturb each other, even just by turning the lights on and off.
