Golden Well Hotel, Prague

The hotel excels in its location, the use of technology for a seamless first-time entry, and exceptional hospitality. The breakfast was outstanding, the hosting was incredibly welcoming, and the overall stay provided a very pleasant experience.

Very extensive and delicious breakfast. Staff super helpful and kind. Lovely location with lots of pleasant places to sit and enjoy. Very nice (free) wine and cheese offered in the afternoons.

Breakfast was generous & delicious. Service was lovely. Hotel location is perfect, so close & walkable to the Castle & walkable to restaurants. Hotel amenities are lovely. Staff was most helpful & friendly. I highly recommend this hotel!

The weather! A bit too rainy at times, but you can’t blame that on the hotel!

Entrance a little difficult to find and access via long cobblestone walk but that was part of the charm.

Wonderful hotel, with excellent team in the bar and restaurant. Really knowledgeable team, with a cheerful character. We enjoyed a wonderful wine list and the standard of the food was superb, one of the best meals I have ever had was in the restaurant. When visiting Prague this is the hotel to stay!!

A couple of the reception team were not quite as cheerful as the bar/restaurant team, but that did not change our overall view on the stay.

The breakfast was excellent as was dinner at the Terrace restaurant. We loved everything about this hotel- the hidden, yet perfect location, the beautifully appointed and comfortable room, the excellent, attentive staff. The Golden Well is a gem! We highly recommended it!

I wish there was a bar area to hang out in in the evening. If people were in the lounge there was no where to get together with friends.

From check in to check out and everything in between, this hotel delivered. Breakfast and the value of it was by far the best we’ve ever experienced at any hotel and we’ve travelled a lot!

Had a slight issue with our room on arrival (quite late). It couldn't be dealt with initially but once it was it was handled extremely well.

Everything was amazing, from staff to restaurant to the breakfast to turn down service to housekeeping, the list goes on and on. Zero complaints. It was refreshing to find a hotel that actually cares about the customers. We have traveled a lot (50 countries), and this was hands down one of my favorites! Keep up the excellent work, you guys. It definitely makes you stand out!

Exceptional service, unique rooms, excellent breakfast and restaurant, just all in all one of the best hotel stays I've ever enjoyed. From carrying bags up the street for us to arranging taxis and even making smiley face designs in the foam on our hot chocolate... supreme attention to detail and genuine hospitality.

From the point of arrival, through the whole of our stay, the Golden Well experience was exceptional! A delightfully individual hotel with small thoughtful touches in each of the rooms and all furnished with taste and elegance and with your comfort in mind. The food was divine and the staff from every department were friendly and gave us five star service at all times, often going above and beyond our expectations to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We would love to stay again!

I genuinely can't think of a thing to improve! A fantastic hotel.

The breakfast is superb. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is excellent. the little touches like fruit and cakes in the room are done very well and the snacks available at 4pm are also a bonus. The staff are charming and helpful

Just a couple of things.... There is no real bar area in the winter as a terrace is not available. There is nowhere to sit comfortably before dinner or going out for the night, or when you return. The restaurant is lovely but not something you would want to do every night of your stay. Somewhere less formal and more relaxed to eat would be a bonus, as we needed taxis to eat elsewhere (the streets and pavements were very icy and dangerous for walking) and this meant booking ahead. Whilst the afternoon snacks available are lovely, we found that other guests blitzed them and occupied the only seats available, so it was necessary to go back to our room.

Great location. Excellent breakfast and spectacular view of the city from the restaurant. The business lounge was comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the attention to details is noticeable.

No complaints really, but the hotel is on a steep hill and takes some effort to climb from the nearest public transportation. It wasn't an issue for me and I enjoyed walking - just something to be aware of.

Our room was deluxe but didn't have much of a view - just rooftops and a spire in the distance. We would have liked to see more of Prague from our room.

A beautiful building and area. Great breakfast, with a superb view of the city. Turndown service and a nighttime sweet delight put on a side table every night. Molton Brown amenities. Drink&snack time during the day.

My room, a deluxe double, was an attic with stairs inside at the entrance. It was not a big problem, but after walking around the city all day, it was a bit sad having to climb up the stairs after opening the door to relax in the room.

Breakfast was amazing! Food selection, staff friendliness & morning views overlooking Lesser Town was perfect.

Great location...5 minutes to Charles Bridge and close to everything in Old Town, yet far enough away from the crowds to enjoy a night's rest. Very accommodating staff.

The hotel advertises a complimentary happy hour snack with wine, but these things go quicky at the start of the hour, and are not replenished once consumed.

The entire facility feel very special! Love it! Just the bathroom has not enough lightning to my taste and no convenient hangers to hang the towels. But that’s really nothing.

Charming building and rooms were lovely with antiques and comfortable furniture with character. Breakfast was lovely and most staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds and our rooms had good air conditioning but one room had poor air conditioning. Some rooms have views but the windows are so small it isn’t worth paying for.

The restaurant is very nice and expensive and we wished there was a more casual option we would have eaten there more than one night.

Everything about the property is magnificent, and the hotel staff are delightful. This is the most luxurious hotel I have ever been to.

The staff were very kind, attentive and helpful. The hotel was very well kept and absolutely stunning. The rooms were spacious and tidy. The turn down service was a nice touch. The breakfast menu was delicious. We really enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

Fabulous location just below the Prague castle. Very well appointed boutique hotel with wonderful historical character. Five star plus in terms of facilities and service and nice change from the big central hotels. Complimentary drinks and food in the small guest lounge each late afternoon was nice to come back to after long days walking and exploring the city. Easy to walk to the Charles bridge and old/new town areas/squares. Beautiful Waldstein gardens (Senate buildings) are afew minutes walk from hotel and free to enjoy. Hotel restaurant is first class with stunning views over Prague and breakfast ( included in room rate) is superb with same views.

The website says that valet parking is included however there is an additional $30 daily charge for the parking lot.

The breakfast and breakfast staff were great. They made us feel welcome and cared that our needs were met. The room was well appointed, comfortable, and the turn down service was exceptional.

The staff at reception could have been more knowledgeable about local recommendation and activities. Two of the receptionists merely looked up our interests on Google - I could do that and that is not what I was hoping to get from local staff.

The Golden Well Hotel in Prague is absolutely magical. With dreamy city views, delicious food, and top-notch service, it's unbeatable. Simply put, it's the best place to stay in Prague.
