The staff is wonderful and very accommodating…. From check in, to dinner reservations to porter services. Great location. Our room was fabulous! Will come again.

Location was right on the river

Taxi couldn’t take us to the front of the building. Had to walk down a hill with our luggage. Was hoping for a true Queen sized bed but had two twins linked together

Excellent location and the customer service was very very good!! Breakfast buffet was very nice, our room and the view was amazing, lovely turn down service!

Only complaint was that the bar at the front of the hotel with premium tables for viewing the square closed a bit early in our opinion. (9pm). We would have loved to enjoy drinks there for longer.

Fabulous location with good sound insulation from all the activity outside the window. Delightful staff who all seemed to enjoy making our stay as enjoyable as possible as possible. Excellent hotel restaurant, great breakfast selection.

Bathroom was rather dated. The shower was 1970s quality.

Room was very nice. The breakfast was incredible. Bit of champagne for breakfast, so no complaints about that. Staff were very nice and gave us a glass of port while we checked in. Great location - right next to the river where a lot nice restaurants are location.

The staff was great. Always available to help.

Two things. We didn't have a good experience when we had dinner at Ribs. Meat was too hard . We didn't know that only special vehicles could have access to the street of the hotel. That was an unpleasant surprise at the arrival. If we knew about that restriction, we would have booked a different transfer service from the airport.

Room was awesome, view of the Durao River was perfect. We had two balconies we could stand on to watch the fireworks and the festival. Breakfast was great and location was perfect.

Great location, close to the Praça da Ribeira, a small square to stroll or stop for a drink and eat. You can also walk to many tourist places. The room was comfy, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast was well set out and had a very good selection of food, both buffet and to order. Specifically want to mention Goncarlo Barbosa who was very helpful in making sure our luggage was being picked up by the luggage transfer company on the day we departed.

Be aware the area outside is very busy so leaving the windows open isn't an option, however the windows and air con are good.

Location and staff were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Was a wonderful place to stay for 5 nights. The included breakfast was satisfying.

Wish we could have unlimited Nespresso for the room (super minor detail). Only "negative" I could come up with.

Only concern was the shower/tub getting in/out having to climb over the toilet around the glass. Is a possible fall hazard. Can easily be fixed by changing the opening of the glass.

An excellent location close to many restaurants and a vibrant area, the hotel staff were very helpful and could do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, particularly the pastries and cheese.

Super friendly and helpful staff

The location is the best one in Porto--on the Ribeira. We started in a standard, average room with no view, but the hotel let us upgrade for extra charge to a room with breathtaking views of the Douro River and the Ribeira. The included breakfasts were abundant, but dominated by cakes and high carb foods; lots of choices including yogurt, fresh fruit, seeds, eggs and other good foods. The staff was professional, well organized and helpful.

The gym is really bad and wholly insufficient for a five star hotel. No pool. The lobby is small, cramped and unattractive. There can be a lot of noise and commotion and crowds right in front of the hotel, so the experience here is not one of tranquillity. No convenient parking.

The restaurant was fabulous. We had delicious meals in the evening and the service was outstanding. The location was superb, very central and lovely views across the river.

The room we were in was a bit dark. Could maybe have done with a bit more lighting to compensate. It would have been good to have shower gel easily available beside bath as well as in shower.
