Boulders Resort & Spa, Scottsdale

Spectacular location. Great walks around golf course. Wild animals and plants. Loved real fire in the room as was chillier than expected.

No room service - drinks/food/cleaning due to Covid! Unacceptable as rooms are quite remote from main hotel. On my own so would have loved a glass of wine on terrace or dinner in room one night. There was a coffee machine and fridge but not stocked. To get your room serviced you had to give 24 hours notice. Breakfast expensive min spend c £30. No information on this supplied pre stay.

Great location and enormously friendly and helpful staff.

Our villa had very uncomfortable furniture. It felt a bit old and dated and also had poor lighting. The pictures on your website indicated that we would have 3 Queen to king size beds. Rather the 3rd room had only 2 single beds. It was a little bit deceiving. Also the television in the living room didn't work or we couldn't get it connected so we couldn't watch any television as well in the common area. The master bedroom had a television that didn't face the bed and there were no chairs across from the TV so you couldn't watch TV there either. The bench at the foot of the bed was upholstered with what felt like cactus needles. So very uncomfortable you couldn't sit there to even put on your shoes. I would have rather had a villa that was owned by the hotel and kept up by the hotel. It would have been nice to have literature to read about the resort and in the villa but since it's private there was nothing there. Otherwise the resort itself and all their staff were just extraordinary. The resort and location is truly truly beautiful.

Slate floors

It would be nice to be able to get food past 10pm on the property. Spent a lot of nights eating candy from the lobby cause that’s all there was and there’s not any options for ordering out. Only downside for sure

Beautiful area

Not close to restaurants, no parking near casitas. Had to call fir a ride from staff to get to parking area.

My phone was out the entire time The Ac was very loud other than that was good

Good service, good food (except they made my eggs Mexican style with onions, instead of just eggs),

The casita, it was dark, dingy and smelled of mold

We stayed at the Boulders twice - going and coming from Santa Fe. Both times the young lady “greeting” us was hyper and agitated. When the weather outside is over 100 degrees what I want to see at the front desk is a welcoming of icy water and a quiet greeting. There also was a great deal of fuss over our reservations - both times. At the entry gate both times we were not on “ the list”. At the front desk we were not on “the list”. When I showed them my receipt from Booking - there was an aha moment and we were made to feel like 2nd class arrivals. And our $300/night casita was upstairs, and my husband and I are in our late 70’s…and the Boulders was far from occupied. Enough said.

We only stayed for 1 night - if we had stayed longer perhaps the handling of luggage/car/casita wouldn’t jar down much

Didn't really know what to expect. Enjoyed the service provided by the golf cart crew - they were very nice and helpful. But as far as check-in experience and attempt to schedule a potential event there - the event/catering director never responded to my calls, messages or email. Very strange that they didn't want our business to host an event there!?

Property was beautiful. Staff was great very relaxing and clean. Shuttle service was great. Golf course was very nice

Television had issues going on and off. didn't really use it much anyways.

Animal life, secluded

Some of the services are slow such as pick up or cleaning .. need to be driven around property by carts

Did not like the mouse in our room.I don’t mind Creatures and all, but not when they chew on my shoes😡🐭

We did not do the breakfast...the setting is wonderful, very scenic. We moved from there (1 mile away, off Stage Coach) to Iowa in June 2019 and it was nice to go back and visit after our business meeting.

The rooms were not cleaned in places like shower door handles, patio door windows, smudges had been there for quite a while. The floors/corners of floors were not clean.

Room clean service need to order. Was surprise for us when we come to the room and wasn’t clean.

The staff here are very friendly. This property is a little farther out than some of the other properties but worth the drive. Beautiful property, beautiful views.

The restaurants are all not open yet and since the property does not offer room service, we felt finding breakfast and lunch on property could be challenging.

The privacy of the resort was nice. The landscaping and walking trails were quite nice. We enjoyed the very relaxing spa.

The pool was popular and hard to get a seat. During COVID the food process was challenging. It wasn't very family oriented as much as it was to couples, I wish I had known that.

Beautiful grounds- kept immaculate

Poolside food choices were few. Expensive turkey sandwich and chips had to suffice unless we went to the sit down restaurant. Spa and shop/restaurant closed on Mondays and Tuesdays- not ideal Our casita was on the lower level- EVERY morning we were awakened at 7 am by the family above us- kids running, sounded like furniture being moved. Very rude. Wish we would have complained to the front desk immediately but had no idea it would go on every single morning for 4 days in a row

No breakfast being served and no room service and no cleaning service except every three dsys

Terrible AC noise from the roof top right next to our room #267. Could not sleep it was so loud

The quite place away from the city was very relaxing.

Quiet and relaxing Transportation on carts

Service at the pool-only one person so it takes long.....menu is not a lot of items for kids.... Too short it ends at 5pm when check-in is at 4pm-doesn’t make sense.

They charge me wrong and still didn’t make the refund
